We had an awesome time at our Christmas party last weekend!\u00a0 Thank you so much to everyone who came.\u00a0 When we invited everyone in a blog post<\/a>, we said it was our way to celebrate with all of you since you include us in the celebrations in your lives.\u00a0 We are grateful to all of you who allow us to capture your special moments and share in your memories.\u00a0 It is a blessing for us to be able to work doing what we love, and in the process we meet many incredible people and make some wonderful friends.\u00a0 In the spirit of the season, we want to say thank all of you and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!<\/p>\n

We also want to thank Stacy of Meant to Be Wed<\/a> for doing such an awesome job helping us put everything together, and Catering by the Family<\/a> who served yummy food and were terrific to work with.<\/p>\n

Our guest of honor at the party was none other than Santa himself!!\u00a0 He was there for pictures with the kids, and for the adults too \ud83d\ude42 .\u00a0 Santa’s elves were at the party too and had an activity table for kids to make a Santa’s workshop scene, choo choo trains, ornaments, and other Christmas crafts.<\/p>\n

Little brother was not that excited to see Santa.\u00a0 He wouldn’t sit on his lap but with coaxing he was okay to stand near him briefly.\u00a0 We thought he might cry but he was just nervous.<\/p>\n

Some of the kids were so excited to meet Santa!<\/p>\n

But mom’s favorite pictures are those were only some of the kids were excited and some were…not so much:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As the party ended, little brother slowly walked back over to Santa’s chair.\u00a0 After being so nervous earlier in the day we were interested to see what he was going to do.\u00a0 Dad asked him if he wanted to sit on Santa’s lap and little brother slowly nodded.\u00a0 He was hesitant, but soon sat on his lap, asked Santa to bring him “toys” for Christmas, and then even smiled for his picture!<\/p>\n

Santa of course is a celebrity!\u00a0 Some of the kids were star struck to see the man that had the magic of Christmas walking around the party.<\/p>\n

Big brother followed Santa around the room every where.\u00a0 He would come to mom and excitedly tell her everything that Santa was doing.\u00a0 When Santa sat down to eat, big brother couldn’t let him sit alone.\u00a0 He brought over the Santa he made out of stickers and tried to act cool despite his excitement as he casually chatted with the man himself!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We also had the talented Kathryn Flocken of Silhouettes by Kathryn<\/a> there creating hand-cut silhouettes.\u00a0 Everyone loved it!\u00a0 We are going to frame all of our family’s silhouettes together.<\/p>\n

One of dad’s favorite silhouettes was David’s.\u00a0 The hat and facial hair looked so cool!<\/p>\n

Of course Santa’s silhouette rocked too!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The other hit of the party was the entertainment.\u00a0 There were live carolers singing traditional Christmas songs.\u00a0 They were absolutely amazing!\u00a0 Sean thought they were good enough to text about.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Besides the yummy dinner and desserts from Catering by the Family, mom also had a hot chocolate bar set up.\u00a0 Most people enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate, but a few people thought a lid full of toppings was better.\u00a0 Marshmallows and chocolate chips make a great treat!<\/p>\n

Kids help make Christmas special with the innocence and wonder they bring to the holiday.<\/p>\n
