Wedding at Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast: Courtney and Cody

It was all about the details at Courtney and Cody’s gorgeous nautical theme wedding!  From Sperry shoes to a mac ‘n cheese dinner, Courtney and Cody had a wedding that was both casual and fun and yet beautiful all at once.  They were married at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast with a ceremony under a big tree facing the water.  Wooden planks were painted to direct guests to find a seat and watch the couple tie the knot.  Literally!  The ceremony included a nautical knot tying by an anchor light.  Chalkboard signs and more wooden planks served as both signs and decor at the reception where guests signed a paddle rather than a guest book and put their cards inside a vintage suitcase next to colorful buoys.  Dinner was from C&K Smoke House BBQ and included bbq chicken, pulled pork, mac ‘n cheese, and baked beans.  Yummy!  The cake was from B’town Cakery and was so pretty with its knots and blue stripes.  The cake topper was wooden peg figures of the bride and groom and their dog.  I want to have some made of our family!

Courtney had her makeup done by Eri from Ana Molinari.  Her hair was done by Rachel Apple and I am absolutely in love with her hair style!  I wish I was a bridesmaid so I could have had my hair done like that too!  The girls all wore french braids down the side of their hair and Courtney’s was pulled back into loose long curls.  The flowers were put together by a family friend who included the blue and white nautical stripes as ribbons on the bouquets.  The same nautical stripes were on ribbons decorated the star fish which hung on the chairs at the reception.  Instead of boutonnieres the groomsmen wore a knotted rope on their blue jackets which was dressed down with khaki shorts.

At the end of the day Courtney and Cody had their departure and left their reception on a boat.  How else would they end a wedding day with a nautical theme?!  There were so many amazing details throughout every part of the wedding and it all came together perfectly.  Congratulations to Courtney and Cody on a fantastic wedding day!
