Wedding at the Lion’s Eye Institute: Alyssa and Michael

Dad has so much fun at Alyssa and Michael’s wedding!  They were married at the Lion’s Eye Institute Events Center in Tampa.  The building is over a hundred years old and was originally built as a cigar factory.  Dad took advantage of its proximity to Ybor City for some great bride and groom pictures that night.

The groom’s cousin was the officiant for the ceremony which made it more meaningful to the couple.  The flowers were from Hassell Florist, Olympia Catering made the food and the cake, and the DJ was from Grant Hemond and Associates.  The bride and groom had so many cute details to decorate the wedding.  Mom loved the wooden crates and washboard which went great with the wooden signs of the couple’s new last name.  The sweetheart table had a runner with miniature roses making the initial of the couple’s last name as well.  There were lots of butterflies as decor, as well as tin buckets with flowers and flower petals.  The candy buffet had a big sign which read SweetHarts Bar.  October and November are great months to have a candy bar at your wedding because you can stock up on all of the Halloween candy the stores have!

Alyssa and Michael were kind, down-to-earth, and fun to hang out with.  Dad really enjoyed spending their wedding day with them.  All the best to the newlyweds!
