Wedding at the TradeWinds: Much Rejoicing with Emily and Stephan

Emily and Ted were so much fun at their engagement session and dad expected nothing less from their wedding.  Meghan of Dream Day Productions was the couple’s coordinator and the officiant so dad knew the day was sure to go well.  She’s wonderful to work with!  The couple was married at the TradeWinds Island Resort on St. Pete Beach.  Cari from KyleLynn Cosmetics was there for Emily’s getting ready.  Emily’s hair was pulled back into a low loose bun which was adorned with white flowers with a cluster of pearls in the center.  The wedding colors were shades of purples that were both bright and deep with green accents.  Stephanie from FishHawk Weddings created the bouquet and floral arrangements in the purple color.  The branches that made the ceremony arch were gorgeous!  Mom’s favorite detail from the wedding was also at the ceremony.  The couple had a sign that said, “And there was much rejoicing!” with flags that said, “Yay” for their guests to wave.  What a fun quote from the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail to use at a wedding!  The fun movie details continued at the reception where tables were named with quotes from some of the couple’s other favorite movies.  Rob from Grant Hemond did a great job as the DJ and Chef Nelson made the wedding cake.  Emily and Ted made their day fun and personal and everyone had a blast.  They are awesome people!  AND we have to thank Emily for all her help with that list of things to do when we head up to VT in just a couple weeks for our vacation!

Emily and Ted, thank you for having us as part of your wedding.  You two did a wonderful job having the day reflect your personalities and your love.  Congratulations, and be sure to stay in touch!

Wedding at the TradeWinds: Stacy and Rocky

Stacy and Rocky had their wedding on St. Pete Beach at the TradeWinds Resorts.  Their wonderful team of vendors included Cari of Kyle Lynn Cosmetics for hair and makeup, Publix for the beautiful flowers and the cake (events0754@publix.com), Reverend Tom Greene as the officiant (727-403-6308), and Doug Decker of Grant Hemond as the DJ.  The wedding colors were bright pink and orange and mom really liked how they looked on the couple’s shimmery stationary.  They say rain is good luck on your wedding day and Stacy and Rocky were lucky that the rain did not start until after the ceremony and that the staff at the TradeWinds was able to move everything from the South Lawn to a ballroom inside quickly and efficiently.

Thanks to Stacy and Rocky for having dad share in your wedding day celebration!  You have a terrific family and we wish you lots of happiness!

Farrah and Paul at the Tradewinds Island Grand

Farrah and Paul came from the UK for their destination wedding here on Wednesday.  It was held at the Tradewinds Island Grand on St. Pete Beach.  The wonderful Beth of Flawless Occasions was the planner for the wedding and dad had fun spending the day with her.  Dad also enjoyed working with Rob Sword of Sword Sounds.  He was the officiant during the ceremony and the DJ at the reception and he did a great job as usual.

It was a beautiful day for their wedding.  The skies were bright blue and almost cloudless.  It made it really hot, but it also gave the guests a view of our gorgeous Florida beaches.  The wedding colors were blue and pink and Farrah and Paul had amazing flowers custom painted to fit into the color scheme.  They worked with Thai-Rific Orchids and had bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages that were orchids hand painted in bright pink.  They looked so pretty!

After the ceremony and cocktail hour, Farrah changed to a second dress and her and Paul cut loose on the dance floor!  They had a blast at the reception and the bride, groom, and their wedding party ended the night with a jump in the pool.  That’s the way to cool off after a night of dancing!

Thanks Farrah and Paul, and enjoy your holiday in Orlando!

When Farrah asked her friends to be bridesmaids, she made them personalized satin hangers for their dresses.

Janet and Nicholas

The Tradewinds Island Resorts in St. Petersburg is a beautiful place for a beach wedding.  Janet and Nicholas were married there last Friday.  We want to thank Nicholas for his military service!

Julissa with Beauty Brought Out was there during the getting ready for hair and makeup.  Janet had a beautiful updo and wore two white flowers in her hair rather than a veil.

The look on Nicholas’s face when he first saw Janet was so tender and loving.

Pictures with the bride and groom on the beach:

Nicholas changed into different clothes for the reception, and Janet wore a different dress.  She looked amazing in both of her dresses!

The wedding was intimate and romantic, and the guests had lots of fun celebrating at the reception!  Thanks to the bride and groom for having us there to capture the memories of the day.

Laura & Jay

With all that has been going on Dad decided to help us with the blog post today. Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers.

We know that Laura and Jay have been itching to see a few images from their wedding. They had an amazing day at the Tradewinds Resort on St. Pete Beach. The flowers were beautifully arranged by Flowers by Voytek and their cake was created by Chocolate Specialties.

Laura started out her day at the salon with her bridesmaids enjoying chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. Dad thought this was a fun image of one of the bridesmaids and a random customer at the salon.

We love the simple beauty of these rings.

Dad took a similar photo of a flower that mom loved at another wedding. We hope she likes this one just as much.

While walking down the aisle Laura and her bridesmaids carried these cute parasols and gave them to the groomsmen to hold during the ceremony.

Before being introduced Laura changed her dress to a similar color as the bridesmaids. Dad thought this idea was a cute way to get more variety to the photos.

Jude from Grant Hemond did a great job as the DJ. Check out Jay finishing his flip!

Congratulations Laura and Jay!!
