Wedding at the Rusty Pelican: Helen and Clint

Jason photographed Helen and Clint’s engagement session in July and they were married two months later at the Rusty Pelican.  Jason was excited to work with a team of terrific vendors!  Darla Stafford was there for hair and makeup, David of Trinity Wedding Video was the videographer, Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet did the floral arrangements and the wedding cake was made by Laurie from A Piece of Cake.  Everything came together to give the bride and groom a wonderful wedding day.  Helen and Clint’s family and friends had a fun time celebrating at the reception.  The DJ was from Bay Area Production.

Helen and Clint are a great couple and we are happy we were able to share in the day they began their lives together as husband and wife.  Congratulations to the newlyweds!  We hope you had an awesome honeymoon cruise!

Wedding at the Sheraton Sand Key: Ashleigh and Matthew

Ashleigh and Matthew had a fun engagement session with dad back in May.  Their wedding day was even more fun!  The bride and groom are terrific people and their wedding party was a blast to hang out with.  Ashleigh had Julissa of Beauty Brought Out for her getting ready and David and Kristina from Trinity Wedding Video were the videographers.  Dad was happy to see them and work with them again!  The wedding colors were red and white and Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet made beautiful floral arrangements in those colors.  Mom’s favorites were the big alter flowers at the ceremony!  Ashleigh and Matthew were married at the First United Methodist Church of Clearwater and then had their reception after at the beautiful Sheraton Sand Key.  Doug of Grant Hemond was the DJ for the reception and dad says he is always great.  The beautiful 4-tiered cake was made by a family friend and guests were treated to Haagen-Dazs ice cream too!  The newlyweds left the wedding in their bride and groom Mickey and Minnie ears and headed for Disney where they were spent their wedding night.  Congratulations Ashleigh and Matthew, and thanks for having dad there to share in your wedding day!

Davis Islands Garden Club Wedding: Carrie and Lee

Carrie and Lee were married on the most popular wedding date of the year, 10-10-10!  Dad photographed their engagement session just a month before their wedding and he was looking forward to seeing them again.  In China, the number 10 implies the Chinese idiom “perfection in everything” so getting married on 10-10-10 is thought to bring a couple a perfect marriage.  Carrie and Lee included many Chinese customs in their wedding day. They were married at the Davis Islands Garden Club.  Carrie started the day with the Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group for hair and makeup.  Carrie was a gorgeous bride!  Her gown, shoes, and especially her long veil were all stunning.  Lee’s cousin got the beautiful orchids from Everlast, Inc and other wedding flowers were done by Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet.

The couple had a first sight before the ceremony to be sure to have time for some fun and creative pictures.  They had their three dogs there in gowns and tuxes which dad thought was really cute.  The dogs also came down the aisle with the bridesmaids during the ceremony processional.  One of the bridesmaids was Liza whose wedding dad photographed last December.  Liza and Donald are such a fun couple and dad enjoyed seeing them both again.

At the reception, Phillip of Fast Break Entertainment was the DJ and the cake was made by Cigar City Cakes.  Carrie changed into a traditional Chinese wedding dress during the reception and dad took her and Lee outside for some night pictures.  As the reception came to an end Carrie changed once more into a cute white dress and the newlyweds left through a sparkler departure.  After the send off they grabbed their wedding party and had some fun with the sparklers before calling it a night.

Congratulations Carrie and Lee!  Everything came together so well to make a terrific wedding day.  We hope the Chinese idiom for your wedding date holds true for your marriage!

Rusty Pelican Wedding: Katie and Colin

When dad photographed Katie and Colin’s engagement session last fall he thought their dog was so cute.  Dad was excited to see that some pictures of Bentley at the session were made into cufflinks for the wedding day!

Katie and Colin put together a fantastic team of vendors for their wedding day.  Darla Stafford is so talented and super nice.  She was there for hair and makeup.  Chad Whelan is a wonderful videographer and dad has lots of fun working with him.  Reverend Tom Greene officiated over the ceremony and Rob Sword of Sword Sounds rocked out as the DJ for the reception.  Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet did the flowers and Chantilly Cakes made the yummy wedding cake.  Dad enjoyed working with everyone.

Mom loved the bright pink flowers and especially the mini crystal chandeliers used in the centerpieces.  The reception room looked beautiful!  Thanks so much to Katie and Colin for having dad as part of your wedding day.  Congratulations you two!

Wedding at the Clearwater Beach Marriott: Siobhan and Tony

Siobhan and Tony are really incredible people.  They are so friendly and welcoming!  Dad had a great time celebrating their wedding day with them and their families.  The ceremony was held at Sand Key Park.  Hanging shells and starfish decorated the square bamboo “arch” and flower petals lined the aisle.  Siobhan carried a gorgeous pink and white bouquet made by Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet.  It looked great with her fabulous pink shoes!  We think every bride should add a splash of color into her wedding day attire whether it be the shoes, the crinoline, or something else.

The reception was held at the Clearwater Beach Marriott.  The DJ was James of Grant Hemond and Associates and it was dad’s first time working with him.  Publix made the cakes including the groom’s cake which was covered in chocolate covered strawberries!  Mmmmm, chocolate covered strawberries…  Guests had a great time watching a traditional Irish dance performed by the bride’s cousins.  Looking at the pictures, mom was amazed that they could jump and kick like that and still keep their balance!

Siobhan and Tony, you have a terrific family and we wish all of you lots of happy times to come.  Congratulations!

Yes, it was so good it deserved two pictures.
