Merry Times this Christmas Season

Every year we have a Christmas party and invite all of our past and present clients as a thanks for allowing us to be part of your lives.  Every year we have so much fun and this year was no exception!  Thanks so much to everyone who joined us.  We enjoyed a yummy holiday dinner from Catering by the Family.  There were Christmas crafts and activities for the kids.  Santa even came by and took pictures with everyone!  Before he left he read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and lead a sing-a-long of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  We had a terrific time and felt the Christmas spirit as we celebrated the season with everyone.  Merry Christmas!

The instructions on this tree say it can grow to be 40-80 feet tall!  We are going to try to plant it and see what happens:

We had elves helping the kids with coloring pages, letters to Santa, and other Christmas crafts such as picture frames and ornaments:

Every year the hot chocolate station is a huge hit!  We have whipped cream, marshmallows, and chocolate chips as toppings:

I didn’t do my Christmas baking yet but the desserts from the store were still yummy:

Balloon twisting and face painting!

Instead of reindeer and Christmas trees, the boys asked for lightsabers and swords:

Santa arrives!  The kids looked so amazed and excited:

Darth Maul meets Luke Skywalker:

As my friend Wendy said, nothing says Christmas like Darth Maul!

A pretty elf with her elf hat:

Yummy (and messy!) food:

The Darth Mauls and their lightsabers:

Pictures with Santa are always a blast!  Some kids are really happy to be with Santa, some are really NOT happy, and some could care less:)  Here are some smiles to start off with:

Just hanging with Santa:

And then the classic Santa crying pictures!  In this one, I love how she is checking him out and not liking what she sees:

Bet you can’t guess where her mom is standing:

1 out of 2 isn’t too bad!

Matching Santa hats:

Santa and Rudolph:

Santa isn’t just for kids!

Santa reading “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” to the kids:

When the story was done, this little girl walked up to Santa and asked him to read it to her again.  So sweet!

Thanks again to everyone who joined us, and Merry Christmas!

Our Annual Christmas Party in Appreciation of Our Clients!

With the help and generosity of all who participated, we were able to give back to the community through a successful food drive.  Now that we’ve given something back to the community, it is time for us to give back to all of our amazing clients, past and present!  It is the annual Jason Angelini Photography Christmas party!  Just like last year and the year before, Santa will be at the party for pictures too.  All of our past and present clients are welcome, but be sure to RSVP right away because once we reach the number of our max occupancy we will no longer be able to take any more RSVPs.  Details are in the invite below.  Hope to see you there!

Celebrating the Season

Mom Blogging:

Sharing in the such important moments in people’s lives has brought many wonderful people into our own lives.  Just as we did last year, we hosted a Christmas party and invited all of our past and present clients.  It was our way of saying thank you for inviting us to share in your celebrations by having a good time celebrating the fun and cheer of this Christmas season together!  Thank you to all of the people who joined us and made it so great.  We had just under 90 people come!  There were elves making ornaments and doing others crafts with the kids, a balloon twister, face painting, wonderful carolers, and Santa himself was there for pictures!  The food from Catering by the Family was so yummy!  We also had wine with festive red and green wine glasses and a hot chocolate bar with lots of whipped cream, marshmallows, and chocolate chips to top it off.  But of course the best part of it all was sharing an evening with so many fantastic people.  The good friends and good cheer really made the party exactly what we were hoping for.  Thank you again for everyone who came to join us!

This is busy season so Jason and I haven’t been getting much sleep lately.  I think it shows with how he assembled the North Pole sign at around 3am the night before the party:

Directions for the hot chocolate bar.  We couldn’t refill everything fast enough!

Some of the snacks and treats we had out:

We had the traditional holiday food of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls.

The elves in the Elf Room getting ready for the kids to show up:

Making a Santa ornament:

Making a poster of favorite Christmas memories:

“My Favorite Christmas Tradition is…wrapping paper fight!”  We saw that on a poster and now we think it is going to become a new Angelini family tradition too!

The awesome balloon twisting, face painting elf.  She made balloons into Luke Skywalker and Darth Maul, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Rudolf, and even our own family!

Thanks to Stacy of Meant to Be Wed for her help with the party! She also helped us find these amazing carolers!  I want carolers to follow me around for the whole Christmas season.  They make everything feel so festive!

Before Santa arrived everyone was all smiles and excited to see him!

He made his entrance and greeted all the kids.

But once he sat down for pictures, some of those smiles faded.  We tried with our own kids first but our youngest made a quick run for it!

Santa and the elves.  Thanks again to the elves for all their help!

Some kids were sure to bring their lists so they didn’t forget to tell Santa what they wanted.

Santa with Rudolf:

Some of the kids cried making for some classic Baby and Santa pictures!

(This is one of my most favorites!)

Other kids had wonderful smiles!

She is being sure to let Santa knows what she wants for Christmas before she leaves.

Other kids just wanted to check him out to see what this was all about.

Some of the family pictures with Santa:

To see more of the kids (and adults) with Santa, check out the gallery of Santa pictures on our Facebook Page.

Once Santa was done with pictures he gathered all the kids and read them ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas before saying goodbye and heading back to the North Pole.

Santa’s helper:

We had plans for everyone to gather outside to watch the classic Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer on our new outdoor projector and screen but we had some technical difficulties (being that Jason tripped over the wires and knocked everything down! Straight out of Christmas Vacation!) so we just played the show in our movie room upstairs instead.

It was really a terrific night and got all of us into the Christmas spirit.  We hope all of you take time with family and friends to celebrate the season and enjoy this most wonderful time of the year!

‘Tis the Season to Celebrate and Be Thankful for the People in Our Lives!

The RSVP deadline has now passed.  Can’t wait to celebrate with those of you who are coming!

‘Tis the Season

We had an awesome time at our Christmas party last weekend!  Thank you so much to everyone who came.  When we invited everyone in a blog post, we said it was our way to celebrate with all of you since you include us in the celebrations in your lives.  We are grateful to all of you who allow us to capture your special moments and share in your memories.  It is a blessing for us to be able to work doing what we love, and in the process we meet many incredible people and make some wonderful friends.  In the spirit of the season, we want to say thank all of you and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

We also want to thank Stacy of Meant to Be Wed for doing such an awesome job helping us put everything together, and Catering by the Family who served yummy food and were terrific to work with.

Our guest of honor at the party was none other than Santa himself!!  He was there for pictures with the kids, and for the adults too:).  Santa’s elves were at the party too and had an activity table for kids to make a Santa’s workshop scene, choo choo trains, ornaments, and other Christmas crafts.

Big brother showing off his creation of Santa’s workshop:

Little brother was not that excited to see Santa.  He wouldn’t sit on his lap but with coaxing he was okay to stand near him briefly.  We thought he might cry but he was just nervous.

Stacy and her beautiful family:

Some of the kids were so excited to meet Santa!

But mom’s favorite pictures are those were only some of the kids were excited and some were…not so much:

Megan showing that you are never too old to sit on Santa’s lap!

As the party ended, little brother slowly walked back over to Santa’s chair.  After being so nervous earlier in the day we were interested to see what he was going to do.  Dad asked him if he wanted to sit on Santa’s lap and little brother slowly nodded.  He was hesitant, but soon sat on his lap, asked Santa to bring him “toys” for Christmas, and then even smiled for his picture!

You can see more Santa pictures in the album on our Facebook Page.  Just look for Jason Angelini Photography’s Fan page.

Santa of course is a celebrity!  Some of the kids were star struck to see the man that had the magic of Christmas walking around the party.

Big brother followed Santa around the room every where.  He would come to mom and excitedly tell her everything that Santa was doing.  When Santa sat down to eat, big brother couldn’t let him sit alone.  He brought over the Santa he made out of stickers and tried to act cool despite his excitement as he casually chatted with the man himself!

We also had the talented Kathryn Flocken of Silhouettes by Kathryn there creating hand-cut silhouettes.  Everyone loved it!  We are going to frame all of our family’s silhouettes together.

Chelsea posing for her silhouette:

Jessica and Del looking at their silhouettes:

Del’s silhouette:

One of dad’s favorite silhouettes was David’s.  The hat and facial hair looked so cool!

Of course Santa’s silhouette rocked too!

The other hit of the party was the entertainment.  There were live carolers singing traditional Christmas songs.  They were absolutely amazing!  Sean thought they were good enough to text about.

Besides the yummy dinner and desserts from Catering by the Family, mom also had a hot chocolate bar set up.  Most people enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate, but a few people thought a lid full of toppings was better.  Marshmallows and chocolate chips make a great treat!

Kids help make Christmas special with the innocence and wonder they bring to the holiday.

Our family wants to send all of you happiness, love, and blessings this holiday season.  We hope you are surrounded by friends and family and looking forward to a great year ahead!
