Wedding at the Sandbar: Hayley and Mitch

Hayley and Mitch came from the UK for their Florida beach wedding.  They were married at the Sandbar in an intimate ceremony with their loved ones.  The couple has five girls who were the wedding party and participated in the sand ceremony as well.  Mom thinks it was great that the whole family was included!  It was a beautiful day for a beach wedding and the couple had a pretty sky for sunset as well.  Intimate weddings are always filled with both emotion and celebration.  Congratulations Hayley, Mitch, and family, and thanks for having dad there to capture the memories of your day!

Wedding at the Sandbar: Alicia and Barrett

Alicia and Barrett’s beach wedding at the Sandbar was great.  They had a pink and brown theme (mom loved Garrett’s brown jacket!) with lots of orchids.  Silvia’s Flower Corner made the flowers look really pretty.  Alicia looked beautiful with the flowers all through her hair and her Essence of Australia gown.  Congratulations newlyweds!  Thanks for having dad there for your wedding day!

Stacy and Chi’s Wedding at the Sandbar

Last Saturday dad joined Stacy and Chi for their wedding on Anna Maria Island.  They had a fun engagement session back in May and dad knew they were going to have a fantastic wedding.  It was held at the The Sandbar which wedding guests always love because they get to eat dinner and dance with their feet in the sand.  David  of Trinity Wedding Video was there as the videographer and Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the officiant and the DJ at the wedding.  They are both great and dad was happy to work with them again.  Thai-Rific Orchids did the beautiful flowers for the wedding, including Stacy’s unique cascading bouquet.

Stacy and Chi are headed to Paris for their honeymoon, but before they left they met up with dad a couple days after their wedding for a Trash the Dress session at the beach. We’ll have some of those pictures on the blog soon!

Kelly and Danny’s Wedding at the Sandbar

Kelly and Danny were married in a beautiful beach wedding on Sunday.  The wedding took place at The Sandbar Restaurant on Anna Maria Island.  Guests always love when they get to keep their feet in the sand and enjoy a reception on the beach!

Kelly had Kristine of Fabulous Faces there for makeup.  This was the first time dad had worked with her since our little sister was born.  Kristine was really sweet and brought a gift for our baby sister!  It was a super adorable sweater dress with matching hat.  We love it!  Thanks Kristine!!

Kelly and Danny also had Jayne Giroux of Designs by Yours Truly as their florist and Island Boys Band to play steel drums during the ceremony.  Instead of the traditional bridesmaid bouquets, Kelly’s bridesmaids carried fans with flowers at the base.  It was a fun and unique touch.  The bridesmaid dresses were bright and fun, and Kelly wore an amazing gown with lots of lace overlay and a lace hem.  She was a beautiful bride.

Kelly and Danny were smiling all day long!  They had a wonderful Florida beach wedding and are now headed to the beaches of St. Thomas for their honeymoon!  Have fun, and we wish you lots of happiness in your lives together.

Julie and Michael’s Rehearsal at the Sandbar

Julie and Michael were married on Saturday and though dad was not able to photograph their wedding, he was very happy to capture some of the memories of their wedding weekend.

The rehearsal was held at the Sandbar on Anna Maria Island.  The couple love sunset so dad was sure to take some pictures of them on the beach as the sun went down behind them.  Guests at the rehearsal were able to watch the beautiful sunset from the tent on the beach where they ate some great food, laughed, and enjoyed the music of a steel drummer.  It was a terrific night full of anticipation of the wedding just a couple days away!

At the rehearsal, dad met a couple who both graduated from the same university where he and mom graduated.  The girl he met even worked at a ski company where dad used to work as well!  What a fun coincidence!

Dad was able to join Julie and Michael and their family again the next night for a dinner get together so we’ll have pictures from that on the blog tomorrow.
