Wedding at Sacred Heart Church and The Tampa Club: Lauren and Micah

Lauren and Micah were married at Sacred Heart Church and celebrated their reception at the The Tampa Club.  Dad always looks forward to seeing Darla and Julie of Darla Stafford Hair and Makeup and they were there to help the girls get ready.  The wonderful Ian of Movie Magic Productions was also there as the videographer.  The wedding colors were purple and green and Events in Bloom used the colors in the beautiful bouquets and centerpieces.  The cake by Let Them Eat Cake not only had flowers on top but it was decorated by purple butterflies and green leaves.  Next to the cake was a framed sign showing the guests the flavors of each cake layer.  The sign, the pretty monograms on the vases, and other stationary items were done by the bride’s sister, Krista Graphic Design.

Lauren, Micah, and their wedding party went to the downtown streets for pictures and dad had fun walking around taking pictures with them.  We are all so jealous of Lauren and Micah spending their honeymoon in Breckenridge!  We took a family vacation there a few years ago and absolutely loved it.  Fall is sure to be gorgeous there!  Congratulations Lauren and Micah!

Wedding at Sacred Heart and the Marriott Waterside: Hillery and Michael

Dad met Hillery and Michael one year ago this month when he photographed their beautiful engagement session at the beach.  Their wedding was last month and it was a gorgeous event!  Zoe Gallina Event Styling and Coordination was the couple’s wedding planner and Zoe did an amazing job helping the bride and groom with all the details.  Cara from Hearts Video was there as the videographer and dad was happy to work with her again.  The wedding ceremony was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the reception was at the Tampa Marriott Waterside.

Hillery looked absolutely beautiful and timeless.  She had her hair done by Gina from Styles and Company Hair Salon and Colours by Linny did her makeup.  The classic look of the wedding was also created by the white bouquets and centerpieces.  Ian from Botanica International Design Studio did a wonderful job creating white floral arrangements with green leaves and vines.  The reception was decorated with white linens and silver place settings.  The white silk chair covers were gathered into a pretty knot in the back.  Each place setting had a personalized bottle of champagne for guests, and the champagne flutes with strawberries were there for guests who wanted to open their favors right away.  There were also plates of cookies on the tables for guests.  Mom and dad also had Italian cookies from New York brought in for their own wedding!

Olympia Bakery made a cake that fit the wedding’s look perfectly.  The all white cake was decorated with swirls and had the letters of the couple’s last name on the top tier.  It was very tall with four tiers and a floral cake topper!  The DJ was Doug Decker from Grant Hemond.  He is always terrific and dad enjoys working with him.

Hillery and Michael had a first sight before their ceremony and did some bride and groom pictures then.  Dad said it was funny to see Sci Fi characters walking around the hotel for some convention that was there the same day.  Dad stopped one of the people and had them pose with the bride’s flowers.  Mom absolutely loves the picture, and that the character’s green designs on her costume matched the greenery of the bouquet!

Congratulations Hillery and Michael!  We hope Aruba was a great time!!  And thanks to all the vendors who helped put together such a beautiful day.

Wedding at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Rusty Pelican: Sarah and Carey

It is wonderful to be a part of the special moments in people’s lives, and when you have a couple that you know you will continue to see as years go on it makes their wedding day even more meaningful.  Dad has photographed weddings and sessions for Sarah and Carey’s friends and family and it was so great to see them as they shared in Sarah and Carey’s big day!  Dad has also photographed Sarah and Carey’s super cute dog Bella when she joined them for their engagement session and the couple used those images in their guest book.

The ceremony was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the reception followed at the Rusty Pelican.  Pinks and creams and golds were the wedding colors and Fishhawk Florist put together pretty bouquets and floral arrangements with those colors.  The reception music was by Synchronicity Band and Chantilly Cakes made a pink and white cake with gorgeous detailing.

Dad had a blast with Melody and Brendan and Sarah and Rob at the wedding too.  They are all a really fun group and dad looks forward to sharing in more happy memories with all of them!  Thank you for having us as part of your lives.  Congratulations to Sarah and Carey and we can’t wait to see the wonderful things the future has in store for your married life together!

Mom loves Sarah’s bustle.

The comments that this group made about this picture when we put it in a Facebook album were even more funny than the picture itself!  None of them even remember dad taking it:)!

First Wedding of 2009

What a great way to start off our 2009 weddings!  Ashley and Nathan were married last Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa with their reception at the Rusty Pelican.  The couple had a wonderful team of vendors, including Beth and Shawna of Flawless Occasions as the wedding planners (congratulations to them on the new website they just launched!), Darla Stafford for hair and makeup, Botanica International Design Studio for flowers, and DJ Doug Decker from Grant Hemond.  Everyone did a terrific job.

Ashley and Nathan put together such beautiful details for their wedding.  Mom absolutely loved the bridesmaids’ dresses!  The styles were very flattering and the color was gorgeous.  All of the flowers looked great, especially the bridesmaids’ bouquets with orchids and the tall centerpieces at the reception with branches curling out from the top.  The couple included branches on their stationary and their cake as well.  Table markers were pictures of Ashley and Nathan held up on small tree trunks that looked like one of mom’s favorite candles.  We’re not sure what you call the style of linens with raised criss-crossed fabric but those were so pretty along with the other gold linens used as accents and the gold chair bows.  Dad thought the vintage style Rolls Royce waiting for the couple at the end of the night was the best.  Of course on of the most noticeable details were of the Florida Gators.  The bride wore a Gators garter and the groom had a groom’s cake of an Xbox with a gator biting the controller.  Ashley and Nathan entered their reception doing the Gator chomp:).  Whenever mom sees Gator wedding details, she always thinks of both Carly’s and Meghan’s weddings.  Now she’ll remember Ashley’s as well!  Good luck tomorow Gators fans!

Guests at the wedding had a blast and packed the dance floor showing off their moves.  Ashley and Nathan did not stop smiling all day and radiated joy.  We hope their happiness grows as their years together go on.  Congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon!

Mom likes the contrast between the religious stained glass above the couple and the grittier look of the downtown buildings behind them.

Ashley and Nathan gave dad lots of time for pictures after the ceremony so after the family groups inside the church they were able to get some great images of them and their wedding party on the streets outside.  Dad had fun!

Sonya and Luis

On Saturday Sonya and Luis were married at Sacred Heart Church in Tampa with their reception at the Surf’s Edge Club at MacDill Air Force Base.  The couple had a night ceremony so dad started his day later than usual when he met with Sonya that afternoon as she got ready.  She had the cutest dog who was watching all the activity and wishing she could be pampered as well!

With Christmas coming up soon, the red accent color the couple used to accent their black and white wedding was perfect.  The bride even wore a gorgeous pair of red shoes.  Dad liked the damask pattern on details throughout the wedding as well.

Sonya and Luis had a great time at their reception!  The Christmas tree, wreaths, and stockings hanging made for a festive atmosphere.  It was a fun night, and certainly memorable!  Dad was still getting over his cough and was having a bit of trouble with all the fog the DJs were making.  As the night continued and there was more of the fog, the fire alarm ended up going off from it and the building had to be evacuated!  Luckily it was close to the end of the night and the couple left with a smile:).

Congratulations Sonya and Luis!  Hope you enjoy your cruise!
