Mitzi & Leonardo

Dad had a fun time at Mitzi and Lenny’s wedding. After photographing Mitzi’s hair and make up at the wonderful Level2 Salon in Hyde Park we headed over to the Rusty Pelican for a few images of the guys. The ceremony site was decorated with beautiful flowers by Jan Baldwin Florals (727.360.2195).

Lenny had such a joyful look on his face as Mitzi made her way down the aisle.

The bridal party after the ceremony:

Dad loved this image the second he captured it. Their embrace is so full of love.

These were some of the cutest cake toppers ever.

Mitzi decided to eat a piece of lime and made a silly face after it…Dad said some people do this when enjoying a drink but my chocolate milk never has limes:).

The DJ was Rob Sword from Sword Sounds. As usual he did an amazing job and had everyone dancing all night. Mitzi rocked the dance floor!  In addition to great music, Rob also has a pretty cool lighting system that adds to the fun.

We are so happy for both you and your family. This is such an awesome time.  Enjoy your honeymoon in San Diego!

Jessica and Del

Last Sunday dad photographed Jessica and Del’s wedding in Lakeland.  He had a terrific time and said the couple was kind, genuine, and smiled the whole day.  They were so into each other and that was obvious to anyone who spent any time with them.

Jessica and Del had a great team of vendors, from the talented Darla Stafford for hair and makeup to the wonderful Rob Sword of Sword Sounds as the DJ.

The couple decided on a first site before the ceremony and dad said it was great to get some of the pictures done and out of the way so the couple could get more bride and groom photos and could get to more of the reception.

The ceremony was held at Hollis Garden and dad saw a few other photographers there with couples as well.  One photographer that dad saw was an older gentleman, dad is guessing in his early 70s, photographing an engagement session.  When dad saw that he thought it was awesome!  What a blessing if mom and dad are able to continue to work and make a living off of their photography at that age!

During pictures after the ceremony, the groomsmen pulled out some authentic swords.  They were real, heavy, sharp swords and dad thought it was really awesome that they wanted the swords in the pictures!  Dad got some fun shots making sure to be safe as well.

The reception at the Peggy Brown Building was decorated in white and black patterns with pink accents.  There were homemade cookies in jars and personalized coloring books for the kids. Everyone was great and dad came home telling mom what a great time the wedding was.  Congratulations Jessica and Del!  Enjoy the preview of your pictures:

Brie and Rich

We’re back from Georgia and it was so nice to have a weekend away. We had some quality family time during the road trip and with mom while dad was at the wedding. And mom went to bed early each night and caught up on sleep! Thanks so much to Kelly and Ryan for having dad up there to photograph your wedding. We’ll have some pictures on the blog for you soon!

We didn’t get a chance to blog about it before we left, but last Sunday was Brie and Rich’s wedding. Their engagement session was on our old blog and we just blogged about Brie’s bridal session last month. Dad had been looking forward to their wedding!

Brie had the amazing Darla Stafford there for hair and makeup. Darla not only does a great job with hair and makeup, but dad says he also appreciates how Darla is always careful about timing and making sure things don’t run too far behind.

Brie and her bridesmaids got ready at the Doubletree near the reception site and dad met them there.

The ceremony was at Prince of Peace Lutheran in Largo. The pastor must have had a very bad experience with photographers in the past because he was stringent about the “rules” and even stopped as he was walking down the aisle to remind dad about them. But dad was fine with it and it was a very nice ceremony. Dana Dineen was the florist and put together beautiful alter pieces with branches and hanging red ferns as accents. She also did the bouquets and made sure to include a small red accent flower for the bridesmaids.

The reception was held at the Rusty Pelican and when dad first got there it was too rainy for the bride and groom and bridal party pictures they had planned to do outside. But the rain eventually let up and Brie and Rich got some great night pictures in front of the water.

The videographer for the wedding was AMC Video. Dad has worked with Annmarie before but this was his first time working with Rob. The other Rob at the wedding was Rob Sword of Sword Sounds who was the DJ. Dad had just worked with him the night before as well! He is terrific.

Brie, Rich, and all of their family and friends were so kind and dad came home telling mom how friendly everyone was all day long. Brie and Rich are a loving couple and we know they are going to build a beautiful life together. You two better be sure to stay in touch!!!
