Wedding at the Pasadena Yacht and Country Club: Falisha and Shannon

Falisha and Shannon had a beautiful Catholic wedding at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church with their reception following at the Pasadena Yacht and Country Club.  Falisha had her hair and makeup done at the Aacardi Salon and then put on her gorgeous gown from The Collection in Winter Park.  The detailing on her gown was so elegant!  After the ceremony, the bride and groom headed over to the reception where the talented Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ.  Kashira Bedi made the couple’s wedding cake and Publix did the flowers.

A beautiful couple, a beautiful church, beautiful lighting and background for the bride and groom’s pictures…everything came together so well for Falisha and Shannon’s wedding day.  They are honeymooning in Greece which is sure to be an amazing time!  Congratulations Falisha and Shannon, and many blessings for your marriage!

St. Pete Beach Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Sari and Eric

We love when a bride just throws her head back and laughs like every moment of her wedding day has been the very best moment of her life.  Sari and Eric were married on St. Pete Beach at the wonderful Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort.  It is such an awesome venue with great people working there so dad always enjoys weddings there.  Sari and Eric had their flowers by Publix, Joe Lorenzo of Expert Productions as their DJ, and their cake from Cakes by Carolyn.

The couple included some Finnish traditions into their wedding day and had their programs printed with both English and Finnish text.  The wedding colors were black and white with red accents.  Mom thought the bridesman’s black and white striped vest was stylin’!  And Sari threw in a splash of bright colors with her fantastic Just Married platform flip flops!  Not to mention the bright colors the groom wore when he put on the pink boa and starred speedos at the reception :)

Dad said Sari and Eric were a terrific couple and the best part of the day was seeing the laughter and love they shared.  There wasn’t a moment during the day that Sari wasn’t wearing a big smile!  We hope that both the fun and the emotion of their wedding day stays with them throughout all of their married life.  Congratulations you two!

Wedding at the TradeWinds: Stacy and Rocky

Stacy and Rocky had their wedding on St. Pete Beach at the TradeWinds Resorts.  Their wonderful team of vendors included Cari of Kyle Lynn Cosmetics for hair and makeup, Publix for the beautiful flowers and the cake (events0754@publix.com), Reverend Tom Greene as the officiant (727-403-6308), and Doug Decker of Grant Hemond as the DJ.  The wedding colors were bright pink and orange and mom really liked how they looked on the couple’s shimmery stationary.  They say rain is good luck on your wedding day and Stacy and Rocky were lucky that the rain did not start until after the ceremony and that the staff at the TradeWinds was able to move everything from the South Lawn to a ballroom inside quickly and efficiently.

Thanks to Stacy and Rocky for having dad share in your wedding day celebration!  You have a terrific family and we wish you lots of happiness!

Wedding at the Doubletree Beach Resort: Samantha and Alan

Samantha and Alan came from Ireland for their wedding ceremony at St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the reception following at the Doubletree Beach Resort on North Redington Beach.  Samantha had her hair and makeup done by the talented Cari of Kyle Lynn Studios.  Irene of For Better For Less made the pink and white bouquets.  Dad always enjoys working with Rob Sword of Sword Sounds and he had the dance floor packed for the reception.  It was such a fun day and dad had a blast talking and joking with all the guests.  Everyone was terrific, especially the bride and groom who just radiated happiness.  Congratulations Samantha and Alan, and many blessings for your future as husband and wife!

Wedding at the Clearwater Beach Marriott: Siobhan and Tony

Siobhan and Tony are really incredible people.  They are so friendly and welcoming!  Dad had a great time celebrating their wedding day with them and their families.  The ceremony was held at Sand Key Park.  Hanging shells and starfish decorated the square bamboo “arch” and flower petals lined the aisle.  Siobhan carried a gorgeous pink and white bouquet made by Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet.  It looked great with her fabulous pink shoes!  We think every bride should add a splash of color into her wedding day attire whether it be the shoes, the crinoline, or something else.

The reception was held at the Clearwater Beach Marriott.  The DJ was James of Grant Hemond and Associates and it was dad’s first time working with him.  Publix made the cakes including the groom’s cake which was covered in chocolate covered strawberries!  Mmmmm, chocolate covered strawberries…  Guests had a great time watching a traditional Irish dance performed by the bride’s cousins.  Looking at the pictures, mom was amazed that they could jump and kick like that and still keep their balance!

Siobhan and Tony, you have a terrific family and we wish all of you lots of happy times to come.  Congratulations!

Yes, it was so good it deserved two pictures.

Wedding at the Don Vicente de Ybor: Linley and Douglas

Linley and Douglas’s wedding was gorgeous.  The details all looked amazing together!  They had bright blues and greens and purples as the colors with peacock feather details in the same colors.  Feathers were on everything from the tables to the seating chart to the mini cupcake display.  There were gold bird cages with candles inside and of course peacocks on top to go with the peacock feathers.  The gold bird cages were accented by the gold table settings placed on bright blue and green linens.  Many of the flowers were orchids, including mini orchids which hung alongside crystals from tree branch centerpieces which served as table numbers as well.  Not only did the details and decor look terrific, but of course the bride and groom did as well! Linley was truly stunning in her lace covered gown, bird cage veil, and vintage inspired hair and makeup done by the Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group.  The Don Vicente de Ybor Historic Inn was a great setting for this romantic and vintage themed wedding.

Congratulations to Linley and Douglas on a beautiful wedding day and what is sure to be a beautiful life together!

Wedding at Lake Seminole Park: Shelby and Brian

Dad said he loved this couple and loved their family!  Shelby and Brian put together an awesome wedding.  They had yummy barbeque for their food, doughnuts and eclairs for the wedding cake, pinwheels and gerber daisies as decorations, and headed out to their Disney honeymoon afterward!  Dad had a blast.  Mom loved the blue crinoline Shelby wore under her gown.  We wish Shelby, Brian, and their wonderful family so much happiness in their future and we hope they keep in touch!

Such a mom moment ;)

Clearwater Beach Wedding: Sommer and Kyle

Sommer and Kyle had their rehearsal dinner at Crabby Bill’s Seafood.  They had dad there to capture all the fun of family and friends getting together with anticipation for the next day.  It was a fun night with dinner, a slide show, toasts, and guests enjoying games of Gators bean bag toss.

The wedding the next day was at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center.  Shawna with Flawless Occasions was the couple’s coordinator and she is a blast to work with.  Dad also got to see the talented and kind Darla Stafford who was there for hair and makeup.  Dana Dineen put together the beautiful flowers and the officiant at the ceremony was Pastor Dean Ryder.  For the reception, lighting and drapery was done by Weddings Done Bright and the room looked pretty with the pink uplighting and gobo light of the couple’s names on the dance floor.  Sommer and Kyle had a terrific team of vendors which continued with Wayne DeLair of DeLair Entertainment as the DJ.  Delectables was the caterer and the Island Way Publix made the couple’s cake.

Sommer and Kyle are an awesome couple and dad loved spending their wedding weekend with them!  Thanks Sommer and Kyle for being so wonderful!  The newlyweds are heading off to Mexico for their honeymoon.  Have fun!

Megan and Jonathan’s Wedding at Grace Christian Fellowship Church and Island Way Grill

Sunday was Megan and Jonathan’s wedding day!  They had their ceremony at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church and their reception at the Island Way Grill.  Debbie from Hearts Video was there as the couple’s videographer and Heather from Rose Garden Florist did the flowers.

It is fitting that we are blogging about Megan and Jonathan’s wedding on Veterans Day.  Jonathan is not a veteran but instead is on active duty in the Coast Guard.  Several of the wedding details represented his service, including Megan’s garter, the favors, and the awesome groom’s cake complete with Jonathan’s ship and Sponge Bob in a life preserver in the ocean.  Thank you so much to Jonathan and to all of our past and present members of the military for their sacrifices and service to our country!

It was a terrific wedding day and dad was honored to be a part of it.  Congratulations to Megan and Jonathan!  Have a fun time on your cruise!

Bambi and Mark at the Lutheran Church of the Cross

On Sunday, Bambi and Mark had an awesome wedding in St. Petersburg.  Mark is a Pastor at the church that Stacy of Meant to Be Wed attends.  She got them in touch with dad and he had a great time photographing both their engagement session last month and the wedding!

Over a year ago, dad got to share in a very special day for Stacy and her husband.  He was there for a First Breath session, capturing the emotion of the day their daughter was born!  Dad had not seen their little girl since that day and was happy to see her at the wedding with Stacy.  She was of course so much bigger, and so adorable!

Bambi’s day started at the Number 9 Salon where her sister styled her hair.  Mom thinks it is really sweet that even Bambi’s getting ready on her wedding day was made more personal and meaningful by having her sister as the stylist.  Keeping the day special and meaningful, the ceremony took place at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in St. Petersburg where Mark is a Pastor.  The church was packed!  The couple invited everyone to join them in the Fellowship Hall after the ceremony for dancing and cake and dad said there had to have been several hundred people there to celebrate with Bambi and Mark.  How wonderful to be surrounded by so much love!  Rob Sword of Sword Sounds did a great job as always as the DJ for the cake reception.

After the Fellowship Hall, dad headed outside with Bambi, Mark, and their wedding party for pictures before heading to Mark’s house where the group relaxed and had some really yummy pizza.  That evening it was back to partying as they headed to Studio @ 620 in St. Petersburg for hors d’oeuvres and drinks.  There was also an ice cream bar there that dad can not stop talking about!  He keeps raving about their mint chocolate chip!  Dad brought home a couple of the homemade cookies that Bambi and Mark gave out as favors and those were delicious too.

It was a laid-back day filled with the love of family and friends.  Congratulations Bambi and Mark, and many blessings in your life together!

Mom loves Bambi’s shoes!

Bambi and Mark had some truly kind people with them on their day.  During the party at Studio @ 620, dad was talking to a mom there who had bought toy boats for her kids.  After dad talked about his own boys at home, she left and came back with boats for dad to bring home to us!  How nice is that?!!  We hope she reads this because we want to send her a big THANK YOU!  We love the boats and have already played with them lots!
