Wedding at the Palmetto Club: Amber and Jonathan

Amber and Jonathan had their engagement session last summer. Jason was happy to see them again for their winter wedding at the Palmetto Club. The day started at Ambiance Salon and Spa where Amber had her hair and makeup done. They then headed over to the venue where Amber and Jonathan had a first sight and then took some pictures before the ceremony. The wedding color was purple and the bride’s aunt put together some amazing floral arrangements. The bride’s bouquet was gorgeous and went perfectly with her Martina Liana gown.

At the reception the caterer was Puff N’ Stuff. The wedding cake came from Sweetie Pies Cakes and Jason loved the Angry Birds groom’s cake! The DJ was Cory from Grant Hemond. It was a fun night with lots of dancing and silliness with the photo booth props and sparklers. Amber and Jonathan are a terrific couple and we’re sure that married life is going to be wonderful for them! Congratulations to the bride and groom!

Wedding at the Palmetto Club: Amanda and Eric

Jason loves photographing weddings for the family members of his other couples, especially when they have a really terrific family! Jason loved being part of Jennifer and Trae’s wedding almost three years ago and he was thrilled when Jennifer’s sister Amanda got in touch with him about her own wedding!

Jason had a great time with Amanda and Eric at their engagement session and they had a beautiful wedding day. The ceremony was held at the First United Methodist Church of Brandon and the reception was at the Palmetto Club. The wedding colors were black and white with red and Moate’s Florist put together the floral arrangements including Amanda’s stunning bouquet! Amanda was a gorgeous bride and looked so elegant and timeless in her bridal updo and beautiful gown. Eric wore a classic black tux but he had fun with his outfit later in the day when he changed into Gator colors with an orange tie and bright blue vest. The Gator vs ‘Noles rivalry was something the couple had fun with in details at the reception. The reception was catered by Catering by the Family and the wedding cake came from Cafe and Bakery. The DJ was from Grant Hemond.

It was wonderful for Jason to see Amanda and Jennifer’s family again and all of the family and friends of Amanda and Eric that were there to celebrate the wedding were really fun and friendly people. Jason also got to see Jackie and Brett whose wedding Jason photographed earlier this year! It was a terrific day for an awesome couple surrounded by their friends and family. Thank you to Amanda and Eric for having Jason there to celebrate with you and capture your day!

Wedding at the Palmetto Club: Lauren and Thomas

Congratulations to Lauren and Thomas on their beautiful wedding which was held at the Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch. The bride and groom are a terrific couple and their friends and family were so excited to share in their happiness and see them become husband and wife. Lauren and Thomas are truly loving and supportive of one another and we are so happy that they had us share in the start of their lives together! Bloomingdale Florist was there for the flowers and Olympia Catering made the food and the cake. The wedding colors were black and white and pink with all the bridesmaids in black dresses. The great thing about black bridesmaid dresses is that they will definitely be able to wear their dresses again! The couple’s ceremony ended just as the sun was setting so dad took the bride and groom out after dark for pictures in front of the buildings and on the streets nearby. The night ended with a sparkler send off for the newlyweds! After the wedding the couple headed out on a cruise to the Western Caribbean.

Lauren and Thomas, we hope you keep in touch, and we can’t wait to see your pretty Christmas card! Congratulations again!

Wedding at The Palmetto Club: Karly and Matt

We were so excited for Karly and Matt’s wedding! The priest that married them, Father Mike, baptized two of us. Karly and Matt were married at St. Stephen Catholic Church and then had their reception at The Palmetto Club. Dad photographed Matt’s sister Beth’s wedding to her husband William last year and it was great to see her as a bridesmaid for Karly and Matt.

Karly had her makeup done at Bleu Salon and Spa in Valrico and mom thinks her hairstyle looked so pretty! The main wedding color was purple. The Cottage made Karly’s bouquet of white flowers with a bit of purple and the bridesmaids’ bouquets had those same white and purple flowers along with additional deep purple flowers. The centerpieces at the reception had a tall stem of purple flowers with a fish swimming in the vase! Some of the guests really seemed to enjoy the fish…too much! Having the fish as part of the centerpieces worked well with the fisherman groom’s cake. Kevin Kramer was the DJ and the food was from Affordable Catering.

Congratulations Karly and Matt! May God bless your marriage with love and joy as you grow in the vows you shared on your wedding day. It was special for dad to be there to witness your ceremony. Thank you!

Valencia and Rhoan at the Palmetto Club

Valencia and Rhoan met in the 10th grade and finally celebrated their wedding day on Friday. In their ceremony programs they used the quote, “True love comes quietly, without banners or flashing lights.” Mom thought that was a great love quote.

Their wedding was held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon with their reception following at the Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch. Dad had fun working with Chad Whelan again. He was the videographer for the event. The reception featured food by the Jerk Hut (including curried goat!) with tables decorated in gorgeous linens rented from Connie Duglin. The wedding incorporated Jamaican wedding traditions and had butterflies as decoration throughout the reception details.

Congratulations Valencia and Rhoan! Dad says he knows you will have a long and happy marriage and he was grateful to be there at the start of it.
