Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and Citricos at the Grand Floridan: Wendy and Eric

Wendy and Eric are not only a gorgeous couple, but they are so much fun as well!  They were married at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion with their cake and champagne reception at Citricos Restaurant at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Walt Disney World.  Their wedding colors were black and white and yellow which always look so great together!  When Wendy first contacted us, she described herself and Eric as kids at heart.  Well of course anyone who knows dad knows that is him as well so he hit it off right away with Wendy and Eric!  Despite the rain pouring down outside, the bride and groom had a blast and didn’t stop laughing and enjoying themselves for a minute.  Wendy and Eric, we wish you a life filled with the love, laughter, and happiness you shared on your wedding day.  Congratulations!

Just for Wendy and Eric:

Q: What did the bartender say when oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur, sodium, and phosphorous walked into his bar?
A: OH SNaP!

Orlando Engagement Session with Shakira and Jason

Dad met Shakira and Jason in Orlando for their engagement session.  They had lots of fun exploring the area, hanging out with the geese, and being sure to obey the rules posted including no skating, biking, remaining in bushes, or laying in a horizontal position. It makes us wonder two things.  One, how many people are there hiding in the bushes and two, is it possible to lay vertically?  Shakira and Jason had a great connection and dad had a great afternoon with them.

Winter Park Farmer’s Market Wedding: Jennifer and Brian

Jen and Brian were married the Friday before last at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market.  They had Crystal of I Do Weddings as their coordinator and Creations by Chef Aaron for catering and linens.  The couple chose a wedding theme of dark green and yellow and incorporated green and yellow swirls on their programs, favors, and cake as decor.

They say rain is good luck on your wedding day so Jen and Brian were very lucky!  They knew it was coming from the forecast so they had planned on some indoor locations for pictures, such as The Wine Room on Park Avenue.  By seeing each other that afternoon, they were able to get all their pictures done before their ceremony and spend the rest of their wedding day celebrating with their guests.

Congratulations Jen and Brian, and have a wonderful honeymoon!

Instead of a champagne toast, the newlyweds livened it up by giving their guests shots during the toasts!

Tegan and Daniel at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market

Wow!  Mom is in love with the look of Tegan and Daniel’s wedding!  They were married on Saturday at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market.  After getting a look at Tegan’s style at the couple’s engagement session at the Spring Jubilee, mom knew the couple was going to have a beautiful wedding.  Kristy of Kristy Rapp Event Planning and Design was the wedding planner and did a great job helping Tegan and Daniel with all the terrific details they included.  The wedding theme was daisies and polka dots with the colors of yellow, white, and black.  The couple had a monogram of their initials with a little daisy in between and it was found on the custom aisle runner, the cake serving set, the stationary, and throughout the wedding.

The outfits worn by the couple and their wedding party also matched the wedding theme.  Daniel and the groomsmen wore classic black and white dress shoes with their black and white tuxes and yellow boutonnieres.  The girls wore dresses with polka dot tops and yellow ribbons around the waist.  Tegan looked amazing!  She picked the perfect gown.  It was a short dress from Dolly Couture and had white polka dots all over the full white bottom.  She carried daisies in yellow and white for her bouquet while her bridesmaids carried all white daisies.

The ceremony was also decorated with white daisy arrangements in tall glass vases to line the aisle.  Round paper lanterns in black, white, and yellow were hung behind the area where the couple stood.  A welcome table was set up with lemonade (yellow of course), water, and black and white candies.  As a surprise from Tegan to Daniel, there was also a barbershop quartet, the Makeshift Barbershop Quartet, singing to people as they arrived.

At the reception a banner of round Just Married letters hung above a wall decorated with pictures of the couple.  The menus on the table were also round and were placed on black napkins that were on the bright yellow linens.  The head table had the couple’s names with each letter on a round circle outlined in yellow and hung together with black ribbon.  Guests enjoyed bottled root beer, root beer floats, cookies and milk, and other treats as they filled out their crossword puzzles testing how well they knew the bride and groom.  The cake from It’s Tasty Too looked amazing with layers alternating between bright yellow and white with black polka dots.  The cake table had the cake toppers from the weddings of Tegan and Daniel’s parents and grandparents as well as pictures from those weddings.

There were so many details of dots, daisies, and black and white with yellow, and they all matched each other and the theme to create an awesome look!  Congratulations to Tegan and Daniel on your amazing day!  We wish you so much happiness in your lives together.

Orlando Engagement Session

Melissa and Brian are an awesome couple!  Dad went up to Orlando to photograph their engagement session at their new home and the town nearby.  Their house is beautiful and has a porch with rocking chairs perfect for a married couple (or soon to be married in their case!)

Dad, Melissa, and Brian all had fun searching for cool places around the town for pictures.

Dad saw some guys taking a break from working at a nearby restaurant and asked them to be in a picture.  It is one of mom’s favorites from the session!

Love the lighting!

Thanks for having dad at your new house!  He had a great time with you!

Laura and Justin

Last Thursday dad photographed an awesome wedding! When Laura and Justin first came to meet dad, we got to play with their adorable son who was a baby at the time.  Dad thought they were a fantastic family and had been looking forward to their wedding.  He was not disappointed!

The day began at the Grand Floridian where the bride got ready.  Dad was amazed at how big the couple’s little boy was now!  Mom thought his shoes were super cute.  The bride was all smiles and looked so beautiful.

The ceremony took place at the Disney Wedding Pavilion.  What a gorgeous location, outside and in!  The love that Justin has for Laura was so apparent every time he looked at her.

Guests had a blast at the Coral Reef in The Living Seas restaurant where the couple had the reception.  Dad said the bride, groom, and all their family and friends were wonderful people and he had such a terrific time sharing the day with them.  Thanks so much to Laura and Justin!  You are a fabulous couple!!  Hope you enjoyed your Disney honeymoon!

1 Week Anniversary

Today is Christina and Michael’s 1 week anniversary!  They are probably still off enjoying their trip to Alaska (what a fun idea for a honeymoon!)  Hope you two are having a blast! They were married last Friday in Orlando.  Dad said it that Christina, Michael, and their families were all wonderful.

After getting ready at Salon Bienvenue, everyone headed over to the Lake Mary Events Center.  The ceremony was in a rotunda with windows letting in the sunlight all around.  Mom loved that the couple’s reception was decorated in bright fun colors.  The linens were purple and green and the centerpieces had green and purple sparkly branches and feathers.  How fun is that!  Shelly at Country Club Florist did a terrific job.

Al Dee Productions was the DJ for the reception, and the cocktail hour had a live music by Michael’s dad’s band.  It is wonderful to have family involved in a wedding day.  The whole celebration was very kid-friendly, with toys and coloring books and other goodies.  Dad even brought us home a dinosaur to play with so thanks Christina and Michael!  Here are a few pictures from your beautiful wedding day:
