Wedding at the Palmetto Club: Lauren and Thomas

Congratulations to Lauren and Thomas on their beautiful wedding which was held at the Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch.  The bride and groom are a terrific couple and their friends and family were so excited to share in their happiness and see them become husband and wife.  Lauren and Thomas are truly loving and supportive of one another and we are so happy that they had us share in the start of their lives together!  Bloomingdale Florist was there for the flowers and Olympia Catering made the food and the cake.  The wedding colors were black and white and pink with all the bridesmaids in black dresses.  The great thing about black bridesmaid dresses is that they will definitely be able to wear their dresses again!  The couple’s ceremony ended just as the sun was setting so dad took the bride and groom out after dark for pictures in front of the buildings and on the streets nearby.  The night ended with a sparkler send off for the newlyweds!  After the wedding the couple headed out on a cruise to the Western Caribbean.

Lauren and Thomas, we hope you keep in touch, and we can’t wait to see your pretty Christmas card!  Congratulations again!

Mom loves Pac-Man and Mrs. Pac-Man!

Colored shoes under a wedding gown always add some fun.

Wedding at the Lion’s Eye Institute: Alyssa and Michael

Dad has so much fun at Alyssa and Michael’s wedding!  The couple were married at the Lion’s Eye Institute Events Center in Tampa.  The building is over a hundred years old and was originally built as a cigar factory.  Dad took advantage of its proximity to Ybor City for some great bride and groom pictures that night.

The groom’s cousin was the officiant for the ceremony which made it more meaningful to the couple.  The flowers were from Hassell Florist, Olympia Catering made the food and the cake, and the DJ was from Grant Hemond and Associates.  The bride and groom had so many cute details to decorate the wedding.  Mom loved the wooden crates and washboard which went great with the wooden signs of the couple’s new last name.  The sweetheart table had a runner with miniature roses making the initial of the couple’s last name as well.  There were lots of butterflies as decor, as well as tin buckets with flowers and flower petals.  The candy buffet had a big sign which read SweetHarts Bar.  October and November are great months to have a candy bar at your wedding because you can stock up on all of the Halloween candy the stores have!

Alyssa and Michael were kind, down-to-earth, and fun to hang out with.  Dad really enjoyed spending their wedding day with them.  All the best to the newlyweds!

Wedding at Sacred Heart and the Marriott Waterside: Hillery and Michael

Dad met Hillery and Michael one year ago this month when he photographed their beautiful engagement session at the beach.  Their wedding was last month and it was a gorgeous event!  Zoe Gallina Event Styling and Coordination was the couple’s wedding planner and Zoe did an amazing job helping the bride and groom with all the details.  Cara from Hearts Video was there as the videographer and dad was happy to work with her again.  The wedding ceremony was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the reception was at the Tampa Marriott Waterside.

Hillery looked absolutely beautiful and timeless.  She had her hair done by Gina from Styles and Company Hair Salon and Colours by Linny did her makeup.  The classic look of the wedding was also created by the white bouquets and centerpieces.  Ian from Botanica International Design Studio did a wonderful job creating white floral arrangements with green leaves and vines.  The reception was decorated with white linens and silver place settings.  The white silk chair covers were gathered into a pretty knot in the back.  Each place setting had a personalized bottle of champagne for guests, and the champagne flutes with strawberries were there for guests who wanted to open their favors right away.  There were also plates of cookies on the tables for guests.  Mom and dad also had Italian cookies from New York brought in for their own wedding!

Olympia Bakery made a cake that fit the wedding’s look perfectly.  The all white cake was decorated with swirls and had the letters of the couple’s last name on the top tier.  It was very tall with four tiers and a floral cake topper!  The DJ was Doug Decker from Grant Hemond.  He is always terrific and dad enjoys working with him.

Hillery and Michael had a first sight before their ceremony and did some bride and groom pictures then.  Dad said it was funny to see Sci Fi characters walking around the hotel for some convention that was there the same day.  Dad stopped one of the people and had them pose with the bride’s flowers.  Mom absolutely loves the picture, and that the character’s green designs on her costume matched the greenery of the bouquet!

Congratulations Hillery and Michael!  We hope Aruba was a great time!!  And thanks to all the vendors who helped put together such a beautiful day.

Wedding at the Chelsea Center: Stefanie and Patrick

Congratulations to Stefanie and Patrick!  They were married at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota with their reception following at the Chelsea CenterOlympia was their caterer and the awesome Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ.  Stefanie and Patrick had black and white damask with red accents as their colors.  Stefanie had gorgeous red shoes to go with their colors, not to mention her beautiful red hair!  Their bride and groom pictures show that not all beautiful sunsets have to be on the beach.  The newlyweds are headed of on a cruise to Europe for their honeymoon.  We hope they have a fabulous time!

Patrick is the only one not dancing!

Mandi and Jeremy’s New Year’s Day Wedding at the RiverHouse

We ended 2009 with a beautiful wedding and started 2010 the same way!  Mandi and Jeremy were married on New Year’s Day at the Woodland Community Church.  Their reception was at The RiverHouse on the Manatee River in Palmetto.  The couple put together a wonderful team of vendors including Cari of KyleLynn Cosmetics for hair and makeup, Cara from Heart’s Video as the videographer, Flowers by Don as the florist, Olympia Catering for the food and cake, and Rob Sword of Sword Sounds as the DJ.

Dad enjoyed watching Mandi and Jeremy start off the new year by starting their lives together.  They were so happy to be in love!  Congratulations Mandi and Jeremy, and we hope you had a blast at Disney and your cruise!0
