Wedding at Mirror Lake Lyceum: Caitlyn and Jonathan

“May the road rise up to meet you.  May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields.

May the light of friendship guide your paths together.  May the laughter of children grace the halls of your home.

May the joy of living for one another trip a smile from your lips, a twinkle from your eye.

And when eternity beckons, at the end of a life heaped high with love,

May the good Lord embrace you with the arms that have nurtured you the whole length of your joy-filled days.

May the gracious God hold you both in the path of His hands.

And today, may the spirit of love find a dwelling place in your hearts.

Amen.”

Kate and Jonathan were surrounded by the love and joy of their family and friends as they began their life together on St. Patrick’s Day!  Even a leprechaun showed up at the reception to give the couple more good luck in their future as husband and wife.  The wedding was at Mirror Lake Lyceum with Delma’s, The Flower Booth as the florist, food from Delectables Fine Catering and Eric from Grant Hemond there as the DJ.  It was a day of friendship, laughter, and love just as the Irish Wedding Blessing wished for the couple.  Kate changed into a second dress at the end of the reception and the couple had fun dancing and celebrating before they left through a sparkler departure.  Congratulations to Kate and Jonathan, and thank you for having Jason there to share in your day!

Wedding at the Mirror Lake Lyceum: Stephanie and Ryan

Congratulations to newlyweds Stephanie and Ryan!  They were married at the Mirror Lake Lyceum in St. Petersburg.  Stephanie had the amazing Darla Stafford for makeup, Jason Sowell was the officiant, the florist was Redman Steele, Amici’s was the caterer, and the cake was from Cakes by Carolynn.  The wedding colors were red and white and was used for the wedding party attire as well as the flowers and decor.  Mom thought the flower girl dress was especially pretty with red at the top ending at the waist where a thick red ribbon separated the top from the long white satin bottom.  There was a small white flower on the red ribbon which was especially cute because Stephanie’s gorgeous gown had small white flowers on the draped pickups.

Stephanie and Ryan are enjoying a Disney cruise for their honeymoon.  We know that will be a fun trip!  Thanks to Stephanie and Ryan for having dad there to capture your day!

Wedding at the Mirror Lake Lyceum: Jamie and Tristan

Jamie and Tristan are such good-hearted wonderful people and dad was honored to take part in their wedding day.  They had donated 101 cans of food as part of our contest to help feed the hungry (WOW!) and won an engagement session with dad.  Their wedding day was in June and they were married at the Mirror Lake Lyceum.  Meghan of Dream Day Productions was their coordinator and she did a terrific job, along with the rest of a talented team of vendors including the awesome Darla Stafford, Cara of Hearts Video, Delma’s, The Flower Booth, A Better Cheesecake, Amici’s Catering, and the always fun RJ Vida of Advance Entertainment Productions.

The wedding’s theme was A Midsummer’s Night Dream and the flower girls wore pretty fairy costumes in purples and greens.  Mom loved the bridesmaids’ attire!  They all had different colored gowns in beautiful summer colors.  The reception was decorated in pinks and purples and greens with lots of orchids and branches.  Tables were named after couples from Shakespeare plays and guests got their seating assignments on a booklet of cookie recipes.  Guests were also treated to lots and lots of homemade cookies.  Thanks to Meghan for setting some aside and sending them home for us, and of course thanks to Jamie and Tristan for that as well!

It was a day filled with emotion and love to celebrate an amazing couple.  We are incredibly happy for them and the wonderful future they have to look forward to.  Tristan and Jamie, thank you so much for having us share in your wedding and we hope you two stay in touch!

Wedding at the Mirror Lake Lyceum: Bonnie and Karl

“It’s more than a feeling, this is the real thing we got here.

We are flirting with greatness, God’s been so gracious.

He is holding onto you.

And me.

And we can rest easy…”

Bonnie and Karl are an awesome couple!  They were so much fun at their engagement session, dixielicious and all, and dad was really excited to be there for their wedding day!  They were married at Church by the Sea with their reception following at Mirror Lake Lyceum.  Cari of Kyle Lynn Cosmetics did Bonnie’s hair and makeup, not that Bonnie needed much help.  She is gorgeous!  Janet Baldwin was the florist, Orange Blossom was the caterer, Cakes by Carolyn made the cake, and the terrific Doug Decker of Grant Hemond was the DJ.

Bonnie and Karl are so in love with their faith and with life, and both of those just strengthens their love for each other.  Their happiness is contagious and you cannot help but smile when you see them together.  We know they have a long and wonderful future to look forward to.  Bonnie and Karl, thank you for letting us share in your happy memories!  Congratulations to a fantastic couple, and keep in touch!

Wedding at the Mirror Lake Lyceum: Amy and Evan

After an engagement session in February and a bridal session in March, dad was happy to photograph Amy and Evan’s wedding in April!  They were married at the Mirror Lake Lyceum.  Amy had her hair and makeup done at Spa Olimpia and the couple had Carter’s Florist for their bouquets, Delectables as the caterer, Ty Chaney with Dueling Pianos for entertainment, A Piece of Cake for the wedding cake, and A Better Cheesecake for the groom’s cake.  Amy might not have had it on her vendor list but mom thinks that one of Amy’s best vendors was White House Black Market for her fabulous shoes!  Of course they were perfect for a white and black themed wedding.  All of the bridesmaids wore black dresses and the groomsmen wore black tuxes.

Amy and Evan are terrific together and we know there is much happiness for them in their future.  Dad has really enjoyed being part of the excitement leading up to their day and of course sharing their wedding day with them as well!  Congratulations newlyweds!
