Grand Plaza Wedding: Allison and Seán

As soon as dad saw the Star Wars groom’s cake at Allison and Seán’s wedding he knew they were his kind of people. They were married on the beach at the Grand Plaza with the reception in the Presidential Ballroom. The wedding colors were shades of purples and blues and Marsha Marie Florals created the floral arrangements in these colors. The DJ at the reception was from Expert Productions and Cakes by Carolynn made the wedding cake. The wedding day was filled with tons of laughter and fun, the friendships of the guests who came to celebrate the day, and of course the special moments Allison and Seán shared on the day that began their married life together. The bride and groom are amazing people and fit perfectly together. It was a wonderful wedding and dad loved being a part of it. Congratulations Allison and Seán! We hope Hawaii was a blast!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Julie and Bryan

Julie and Bryan are a really fun couple! They came down from New York to have their wedding on a Florida beach. Their wedding was at the always fantastic Grand Plaza. Tom from Weddings on a Whim was the officiant, Marsha of Marsha Marie Florals did the flowers, Joe Lorenzo of Expert Productions was the DJ, and Publix made the cake. The wedding had lots of shells and other beach details including star fish that the groom and groomsmen wore instead of boutonnieres. There were also some fun Disney details since Julie and Bryan were headed to Disney World for their honeymoon.

Dad said everyone at the wedding was wonderful. The couple’s family and friends were all so happy and friendly and surrounded the couple with love. Congratulations Julie and Bryan, and we hope you carry all the love of your wedding day into all your days together as husband and wife.

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Nanette and Jeffrey

Jason photographed Nanette and Jeff’s engagement session and was happy to see them again for their wedding at the beautiful Grand Plaza. It was a great day for a beach wedding! Family and friends gathered to see the couple exchange vows by the water and then everyone enjoyed a gorgeous sunset that evening. Nanette had her hair done by London Hair, Marsha Marie was the couple’s florist, Josh Lorenzo of Expert Productions was the DJ at the reception, and Le Cheesecake made the wedding cake. Dad liked seeing that Nanette and Jeff used their engagement pictures for different reception details like the signature frame and the card box.

Congratulations Nanette and Jeff! Best wishes for much happiness in your lives together.

Mom’s favorite part of this picture is that everyone seems to be very excited about looking out the window except for the one guy sitting on the couch watching the television.

Stephanie and Michael at the Grand Plaza

The Grand Plaza is a terrific location for weddings. Stephanie and Michael were married there on Thursday. Dad met Stephanie that morning at London Hair and Spa where she had her hair and makeup done before heading to the Don CeSar to get dressed. Stephanie and her bridesmaids looked beautiful! The bridesmaids wore blue dresses and carried bouquets of white and ivory made by Marsha of Marsha Marie Floral.

The ceremony on the beach had chairs with white chair covers and blue chair ribbons. Floral arrangements on white pillars were on either side of a white lattice also decorated with flowers. Amanda Gerttula of the Pink Fiddle played the violin for the ceremony music and Reverend Tom Greene (727-403-6308) was the officiant. Stephanie and Michael smiled all through their ceremony. It is wonderful to see two people soaking in the joy of their day.

The bride and groom live in Canada and many of their guests came from Canada as well. Dad had fun meeting them and getting some tips on traveling to Canada for a family vacation we might be taking. In addition to the traditional toasts, guests came up to a podium during dinner and shared limericks about the couple. The cake was made by Le Cheesecake and was white and covered in little flowers.

Congratulations Stephanie and Michael, and have a great time at Disney World! Don’t forget to buy Minnie and Mickey bride and groom ears to wear!
