Wedding at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens: Rachel and Ryan

Jason joined Rachel and Ryan for their wedding at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.  They had such a pretty Florida summer wedding with pearls, pastel colors, and even an owl in the tree watching their ceremony!  The couple had Nellie’s Deli, Market, and Catering for both their flowers and for catering.  The DJ was from Grant Hemond and the ruffly wedding cakes were from Rica’s Cakes.

Rachel’s gown was perfect for the soft, romantic look of their wedding.  Jason loved the best man’s toast and slideshow at the reception which showcased the groom’s many awesome qualities.  Thanks to Rachel and Ryan for having Jason share in your special day.  It was a wonderful wedding and we are sure the great times continued for your honeymoon in Italy!

Wedding at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens: Martha and Drew

A movie theme, lots of bright colors, and a beautiful sunset made Martha and Drew’s wedding day a terrific event.  Martha started her day at Les Ciseaux Salon and Spa for hair and makeup before heading over to her venue, the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.  Michelle of Milan Catering and Event Design was the wedding coordinator and Milan Catering also made dinner at the reception.

The always sweet Grace Felice of A Wedding with Grace was the officiant. As Jason waited for the ceremony to start he saw a guest jump out of her seat and move over.  The processional began and Jason watched as a snake soon made its way under the guests’ seats, down the aisle, and away from the ceremony site. A husband and wife in a garden, complete with a snake…it is like Adam and Eve!  When the ceremony was done they saw one more snake in a tree as well though it hid again quickly.

Jason loved the reception decor.  Centerpieces were white and yellow flowers in red and white striped popcorn containers and there were favor bags of popcorn as well.  The napkins were each a different bright color which went great with the bridesmaids’ gowns.  There were lots of movie signs and behind the head table there was a personalized sign made to look like movie film with the couple’s initials on it.  The wedding cake from Publix continued the movie theme and had a cute cake topper representing Martha and Drew.  Fitz Otis of Jay Goodley Entertainment was the DJ at the reception.

The colorful attire and the fun movie theme made Martha and Drew’s wedding represent their personalities and interests.  The best weddings are always the ones where family and friends can see parts of the bride and groom in all of the details.  It was a wonderful day and we wish all the best to Martha and Drew!

Katelyn and Kurt’s Engagement Session at Selby Gardens

Katelyn and Kurt are such a nice and fun couple!  Jason met with them at Selby Gardens, not Sunken Gardens;), for their engagement session.  It was a great morning with lots of laughter.  Jason cannot wait to see them again in a month for their wedding day!  He’ll see you two very soon!

Jessica and Randy’s Engagement Session at Selby Gardens

Jason met with Jessica and Randy for their engagement session at Selby Gardens in Sarasota.  They had such a fun afternoon together!  Jessica and Randy explored the gardens while laughing, climbing, jumping, and just enjoying their time together.  I love when couples can be silly and sweet at the same time!  Their wedding is next month and it is going to be beautiful!

Wedding at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens: Michelle and Eric

Intimate weddings are always a great mix of both emotion and romance with fun and celebration!  Michelle and Eric’s wedding was no exception.  They were married at the Schimmel Wedding Pavilion at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.  Karen of Karen’s Violins played the music and Flowers by Fudgie was the florist.  We are always fans of a birdcage veil and Michelle looked beautiful and classic in hers.  She also wore gorgeous and fun bright green heels and Eric matched with his green striped socks.  The officiant was Grace of A Wedding with Grace and she was wonderful.  The ceremony was so sweet and many of the guests were in tears as they felt the connection Michelle and Eric shared.  Congratulations to Michelle and Eric and we hope the joy of your wedding day only grows as years go on.
