Wedding at Hollis Gardens and the Magnolia Building: Heather and Dennis

Heather and Dennis had a summer garden wedding in Lakeland.  Their friends and family gathered to celebrate as the couple was married at the Hollis Garden and had their reception at the nearby Magnolia Building The team of vendors included Creative Flower Designs by Glenn, DJ Joey Jam, Cupcake Alley, and Affordable Catering.

The bride was beautiful in her gown covered in beading and sheer shrug with lace accents.  The bridesmaids wore long purple silk gowns in a variety of styles and the guys wore khaki pants with blue button up shirts.  The color pink was brought in through the bridesmaids’ fans and the flowers.  The variety of the pink, purple, and blue pastels created a soft summery look for the wedding day.  Mom is always a fan of pearls at a wedding and at the reception the couple had pearls filling the bottom of vases holding flowery branches.

Congratulations to the bride and groom, and best of luck in your new lives together!

Lakeland Wedding at the Magnolia Building: Molly and David

We love this group!  Molly and David were married at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland.  Dad has photographed the weddings for 3 of Molly’s co-workers, Erin, Katrina, and Kyla, and all of them were married at the Magnolia Building as well!

Molly and David had their ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland.  It was a beautiful church despite the extremely grumpy church coordinator :)Darla Stafford joined Molly earlier for hair and makeup.  She is always terrific to work with.  Doug Decker from Grant Hemond did an awesome job as the DJ too.  The reception decorations came together so well!  The couple used a black and white damask pattern and their colors were yellow with white and black.  Mom loved all the details!  There were white and black ceramic bowls with lemons, a candy buffet with all sorts of yellow and black candies, and white and black lanterns filled with flower petals and candles as centerpieces.  Molly even wore little yellow flowers on her shoes!

Thanks to Molly and David for having dad there to celebrate your day.  He said you two were super nice and he had a great time.  Congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon!

Wedding at the Magnolia Building: Jovan and Nathaniel

Jovan and Nathaniel had their engagement session in January and were married the first week of March.  They have been waiting quite a while for their blog previews!  Without further ado, here are some of their images from their ceremony at the Lake Mirror Amphitheater and their reception at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland.  Congratulations to the awesome couple!

Katrina and Brian at the Magnolia Building

On Sunday dad was in Lakeland for Katrina and Brian’s wedding at The Magnolia Building.  Katrina and Brian are friends with two of our past couples.  Kyla and Corey were married last October, and Erin and Eric were married three years ago.  They were both married at the Magnolia Building as well!  Dad said it was so awesome seeing all of them again.  They are wonderful couples.

The morning of the wedding Katrina got ready at the Terrace Hotel.  She had Julie and Darla Stafford there for hair and makeup.  It is great for Jason whenever he gets to work with them.  Katrina and Brian arranged a first sight where they were able to share the emotional first moment that they saw each other without all of their guests around.  The flowers were from Petals of Lakeland.  The reception was decorated with a vintage bird theme.  Tables were named after birds and sketches of birds were on the chocolate bar favors and bags at the candy bar.  Doug Decker from Grant Hemond was the DJ and is always terrific.  Delectables Catering made the food which dad enjoyed.  After the reception, dad took Katrina and Brian out for a few night pictures.

The couple is headed to Ireland for their honeymoon.  That is going to be an amazing trip!  Have fun and congratulations Katrina and Brian!

Mr. and Mrs. Coconut

Lynn and Matthew’s day finally arrived!  They booked with dad over a year ago and dad got to hang out with them for an engagement session and a family session.  They are such a kind and caring couple.  Mom has been following Lynn’s wedding planning process on both of her blogs.  Lynn is one of the bees on the Weddingbee website!  After seeing all of her fabulous ideas mom couldn’t wait to see the pictures from her wedding.

Stacy from Meant to Be Wed was the couple’s wedding coordinator and dad was excited to see her again and hear about her new (or not so new any more!) baby.  For hair and makeup, Lynn had the super talented and incredibly sweet Darla Stafford.  Mom thought Lynn’s hair looked so classic and bridal.  Lynn of course looked absolutely gorgeous in her Vera Wang gown.  And dad was thrilled to finally have a bride wear a bird cage veil!  Lynn wore it for some pictures during the couple’s first sight and then changed to a long veil for the ceremony.  At the reception, she had a cute hair pin as her accessory.

The wedding was held at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland and after a bit of an issue at the beginning of the couple’s planning with locations this site turned out to be the perfect place for their wedding.  Josh Gibson was the guitarist during the ceremony and dad said it was so sweet watching Lynn and Matthew exchange vows.  They were laughing and crying and so in love.  The officiant was John Melchinger from A Perfect Witness.

Echo Media Group was the couple’s videographer and the reception lighting was designed by Frank from Musitech (727-385-0800).  Rob Sword from Sword Sounds was the DJ and as always dad really enjoyed working with him!

Lynn and Matthew set up a “photo booth” during their reception for their guests to take some fun pictures and mom thought it was so funny when she saw the newlyweds in their “I Love Lynn” and “I Love Matthew” shirts with the silly props.  The photo booth was just one of many details that made the couple’s wedding so special.  The caramel apple favors, the flip flops in the wedding colors for all the guests to dance in, the gorgeous letterpress stationary, the multi-tiered cake with signs to describe the various flavors, and all the other little touches came together wonderfully.

Lynn and Matthew are going to have such a happy life together as husband and wife.  They are a terrific couple and they know they better stay in touch!
