Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Julie and Robert

Julie and Bob are so much fun and so in love!  They were married at the Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort in St. Pete.  Jason loves photographing weddings there and the people who work there are wonderful.  The wedding had a beach theme with starfish, shells, and blue as the main wedding color.  Marsha Marie Floral put together the floral arrangements.  At the ceremony guests were invited to take off their shoes and the couple had brushes so their guests could get the sand off of their feet when the ceremony was done.  At the reception, the DJ was Joe Lorenzo and the wedding cake was made by Cakes by Carolynn and it was a cupcake tower with the top tier as a small cake.  The bride and groom showed off their moves on the dance floor!  Everyone had a great time celebrating and partying!

Congratulations to Julie and Bob, and we hope the fun and happiness of your wedding day grows even more in your marriage!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Jennifer and Gregg

Jennifer and Gregg are a laid back and easy going couple.  They were married at the always wonderful Grand Plaza Beach Resort and had their close family and friends with them to celebrate.  Jennifer had her hair and makeup done by Tiffany of the Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group.  Her gown was perfect for a beach wedding!  It was just below the knee in the front but still had a pretty train in the back.  The talented Irene of For Better For Less put together yellow and pink floral arrangements to go with the wedding colors.  The flower girls wore yellow dresses with pink sashes and edges and the bridesmaids had dark pink dresses with yellow on them.  They all looked beautiful!  The officiant was Mary of Marry Me Mary and at the reception the DJ was Joe Lorenzo of Expert Productions.  The wedding cake from Cakes by Carolynn was decorated with flowers and beach details.

The couple had a first sight before their ceremony and then they were married in the Presidential Ballroom where their reception was held as well.  They went out for bride and groom pictures at sunset and when they returned to the reception it was great to see some of the events that made the day more personal.  The bride had a jersey that was half Steelers and half Dolphins.  It said “Mrs. Steeler” on the back.  The groom also had a half and half jersey with “Mr. Dolphin” on the back.  For the bouquet toss Jennifer threw a pom pom in the colors of the Steelers instead of a bouquet.  It is great to see couples make their wedding day reflect their interests and personalities!  Congratulations to Mrs. Steeler and Mr. Dolphin!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Julie and Bryan

Julie and Bryan are a really fun couple!  They came down from New York to have their wedding on a Florida beach.  Their wedding was at the always fantastic Grand Plaza.  Tom from Weddings on a Whim was the officiant, Marsha of Marsha Marie Florals did the flowers, Joe Lorenzo of Expert Productions was the DJ, and Publix made the cake.  The wedding had lots of shells and other beach details including star fish that the groom and groomsmen wore instead of boutonnieres.  There were also some fun Disney details since Julie and Bryan were headed to Disney World for their honeymoon.

Dad said everyone at the wedding was wonderful.  The couple’s family and friends were all so happy and friendly and surrounded the couple with love.  Congratulations Julie and Bryan, and we hope you carry all the love of your wedding day into all your days together as husband and wife.

St. Pete Beach Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Sari and Eric

We love when a bride just throws her head back and laughs like every moment of her wedding day has been the very best moment of her life.  Sari and Eric were married on St. Pete Beach at the wonderful Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort.  It is such an awesome venue with great people working there so dad always enjoys weddings there.  Sari and Eric had their flowers by Publix, Joe Lorenzo of Expert Productions as their DJ, and their cake from Cakes by Carolyn.

The couple included some Finnish traditions into their wedding day and had their programs printed with both English and Finnish text.  The wedding colors were black and white with red accents.  Mom thought the bridesman’s black and white striped vest was stylin’!  And Sari threw in a splash of bright colors with her fantastic Just Married platform flip flops!  Not to mention the bright colors the groom wore when he put on the pink boa and starred speedos at the reception:)

Dad said Sari and Eric were a terrific couple and the best part of the day was seeing the laughter and love they shared.  There wasn’t a moment during the day that Sari wasn’t wearing a big smile!  We hope that both the fun and the emotion of their wedding day stays with them throughout all of their married life.  Congratulations you two!
