Wedding at Mirror Lake Lyceum: Caitlyn and Jonathan

“May the road rise up to meet you.  May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields.

May the light of friendship guide your paths together.  May the laughter of children grace the halls of your home.

May the joy of living for one another trip a smile from your lips, a twinkle from your eye.

And when eternity beckons, at the end of a life heaped high with love,

May the good Lord embrace you with the arms that have nurtured you the whole length of your joy-filled days.

May the gracious God hold you both in the path of His hands.

And today, may the spirit of love find a dwelling place in your hearts.

Amen.”

Kate and Jonathan were surrounded by the love and joy of their family and friends as they began their life together on St. Patrick’s Day!  Even a leprechaun showed up at the reception to give the couple more good luck in their future as husband and wife.  The wedding was at Mirror Lake Lyceum with Delma’s, The Flower Booth as the florist, food from Delectables Fine Catering and Eric from Grant Hemond there as the DJ.  It was a day of friendship, laughter, and love just as the Irish Wedding Blessing wished for the couple.  Kate changed into a second dress at the end of the reception and the couple had fun dancing and celebrating before they left through a sparkler departure.  Congratulations to Kate and Jonathan, and thank you for having Jason there to share in your day!

Wedding at the Sirata: Charity and Jason

We are so happy for Charity and Jason!  They are terrific people and we were excited to be part of their wedding day at the Sirata.  Their wedding colors were purple and green with flowers from Delma’s, the Flower Booth.  Charity’s bouquet had some feathers added in which was a pretty touch.  Charity started her day early in the morning with Lili’s Weddings for hair and makeup.  The ceremony was on the deck facing the beach and Rabbi Baseman was the officiant.  It was a beautiful Jewish ceremony made even more special by including the couple’s two boys.  At the reception there were linens from Connie Duglin and the wedding cake was from All About Sweets.

It was a fun and happy day for an awesome family.  Jason loved being there to share it with the couple and all of their guests.  Congratulations to the newlyweds and we hope to see your family again for biking or a play date!

Wedding at the Pasadena Community Church and the Grand Plaza: Milli and Pablo

Dad joined Milli and Pablo for their wedding at the Pasadena Community Church and their reception at the beautiful Grand Plaza Beach Resort.  The couple had Delma’s, The Flower Booth as their florist, the always wonderful Rob Sword of Sword Sounds as their DJ, and a wedding cake from Queens of Cake.  The wedding had a beach theme with bridesmaids in blue and pretty coral and seahorses decorating the reception.  Sunset that evening was beautiful!  Dad brought Milli and Pablo out to the beach for pictures at sunset and it was sweet to see them hold hands and kiss as the sun went down on such an amazing day for the two of them.  Congratulations Milli and Pablo!  We hope you had a terrific time on your honeymoon!

Wedding at the Mirror Lake Lyceum: Jamie and Tristan

Jamie and Tristan are such good-hearted wonderful people and dad was honored to take part in their wedding day.  They had donated 101 cans of food as part of our contest to help feed the hungry (WOW!) and won an engagement session with dad.  Their wedding day was in June and they were married at the Mirror Lake Lyceum.  Meghan of Dream Day Productions was their coordinator and she did a terrific job, along with the rest of a talented team of vendors including the awesome Darla Stafford, Cara of Hearts Video, Delma’s, The Flower Booth, A Better Cheesecake, Amici’s Catering, and the always fun RJ Vida of Advance Entertainment Productions.

The wedding’s theme was A Midsummer’s Night Dream and the flower girls wore pretty fairy costumes in purples and greens.  Mom loved the bridesmaids’ attire!  They all had different colored gowns in beautiful summer colors.  The reception was decorated in pinks and purples and greens with lots of orchids and branches.  Tables were named after couples from Shakespeare plays and guests got their seating assignments on a booklet of cookie recipes.  Guests were also treated to lots and lots of homemade cookies.  Thanks to Meghan for setting some aside and sending them home for us, and of course thanks to Jamie and Tristan for that as well!

It was a day filled with emotion and love to celebrate an amazing couple.  We are incredibly happy for them and the wonderful future they have to look forward to.  Tristan and Jamie, thank you so much for having us share in your wedding and we hope you two stay in touch!

Lauren and Jason at the Vinoy

On Sunday dad joined Lauren and Jason for their wedding at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort.  The couple had assembled an awesome team of vendors including Dream Day Productions as the coordinator, Darla Stafford for hair and makeup, Marci Vitkus for the officiant, Delma’s, The Flower Booth for the florist, A Linen Valley for, well, linens:)and Rob Sword of Sword Sounds for the DJ.

Jewish weddings are very meaningful because they include traditions that go back for centuries.  People often say that it breaks tradition for the groom to see the bride before the ceremony, but in a Jewish wedding that IS the tradition!  The couple meets to sign the marriage contract, the ketubah, before meeting under the chuppah to exchange vows.

Dad said the couple’s family and friends were friendly and welcoming.  Lauren’s mom made his day when she told him that she thought it was a blessing to have him there.  It was a beautiful wedding and we are so happy for the newlyweds.  Congratulations!
