Wedding at the Feather Sound Country Club: Natalie and Jon-Michael

Natalie and Jon-Michael were married at the Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater.  Natalie was a beautiful bride and she lit up every time she looked at Jon-Michael.  The wedding had a fall theme with leaves decorating the sides of the aisle, the tree centerpieces, the cake and cake table, and other tables.  Pretty autumn orange floral arrangements were at the beginning and end of the aisle.  DD’s Blooms was the florist who put the bouquets and arrangements together.  At the reception each table had a tree with the table number on it as well as leaves and hanging candles.  The decor not only reflected the fall theme but also the main wedding color which was purple.  Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the officiant and the DJ for the wedding.  Jason loves working with him and he is terrific person.  The cake was made by Queens of Cake and had colorful leaves draping all of the tiers.

Congratulations to the bride and groom and thanks for including us in your wedding day!  We hope your honeymoon cruise was amazing!

Grand Plaza Wedding: Brandy and Mario

Brandy and Mario had such a fun engagement session at the Lowry Park zoo with dad.  He had been looking forward to their wedding day!  The couple was married at the Grand Plaza Beach Resort on St. Pete Beach.  Brandy looked amazing!  Cari of Kyle Lynn Weddings did a fantastic job with Brandy’s hair and makeup.  Brandy’s hair was done in a classic bridal updo and her makeup made her beautiful eyes sparkle even more.  The wedding colors were purple and green.  The floral arrangements and bouquets,  done by  DD’s Blooms, were mostly purples and whites to stand out against the bridesmaids’ green dresses and the green ties and vests for the groomsmen.  The ceremony was on the beach with Rob Sword of Sword Sounds as the officiant and also the DJ for the reception.  He is so talented and a great person.  The wedding cake was done by Queens of Cake.

Brandy and Mario are a wonderful couple and we are so happy for them and what is sure to be a long and happy future together.  They were surrounded by family and friends who were happy to celebrate the couple’s love and new life together.  Congratulations to the newlyweds, and thank you so much for including us in your special day!

Tanya and Daniel at Countryside Country Club

Dad is helping us blog about the super fun wedding he photographed on Saturday.  He spent the day with Tanya and Dan  at the Countryside Country Club.  Dad had photographed the wedding of their friends Ian and Chrissy who were both in the bridal party.  It was great to see them again!  Their two year anniversary is coming up this year!

Before the ceremony dad had some fun with the dress and rings and even caught Tanya and Dan’s son passed out before the day really started. Though there was no rain the ceremony site did see a bit of unexpected precipitation but was quickly taken care of by the wedding coordinator and everything was fine before any of the guests arrived.

Dad thought it was wonderful that Tanya and Dan gave their son an important part in the ceremony as he walked down the aisle with Dan. Rob from Grant Hemond was the DJ for the reception and had the guests dancing and having such a great time that the couple even extended the party!  Of course the ice luge may of helped a bit as well.  Dan rocked the karoke with a song to Tanya.  Another fun reception moment was the family tradition of attaching a real ball and chain to the groom. It looked like Dan was dragging a bowling ball on his ankle and the ball was locked with pad lock that only Tanya could remove with her key. Luckily Tanya did unlock him.  The yummy cake was made by Chef Nelson and the flowers were arranged by DD’s Blooms. Dad said he had a blast and was happy to be a part of such a terrific day. Congratulations newlyweds!!

Liz and Wes at the Grand Plaza

A couple months ago dad photographed Liz and Wes’s engagement session in Ybor City and Sunday was their big day!  They were married on the beach at the Grand Plaza.  Heather Boterf was the couple’s coordinator and helped put together a beautiful day.  Liz had Michele Renee of the Michele Renee Hair & Makeup Artist Group come to her room that morning.  Liz was so pretty!  After getting ready, she met Wes for their First Sight.  It was so sweet to see them look at each other for the first time.  They did most of their pictures before the ceremony so that they could enjoy the cocktail hour with their guests afterward.

Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the couple’s DJ and did a wonderful job.  The cake was made by Le Cheesecake and had the couple’s wedding colors of pink and green.  Mom’s favorite detail of the day was the sign that Liz had hanging on her door.  It had a quote from the movie The Princess Bride that said, “My Wesley will always come for me.”  Mom thought that was such a romantic touch and went so well with the love and emotion of the day.  Liz and Wes were laughing and crying and enjoying every part of their wedding.  Congratulations and have a great trip to Costa Rica!

Kristen and Jeff’s Clearwater Beach Wedding

Dad was a bit nervous about the weather on Sunday but everything worked out well.  We got some much needed rain but it cleared in time for Kristen and Jeff’s ceremony on the beach of Sand Key Park.  Dad first photographed Kristen and Jeff for their engagement session before they had even set a wedding date!  It had been quite a while since dad had seen them and he was looking forward to their day.  Beth and Shawna of Flawless Occasions were the couple’s wedding planners.  Beth had also been working with Kristen and Jeff for some time and was excited that their day had arrived.  Dad has fun working with Beth and Shawna and they do a great job.

Darla Stafford was terrific as always for Kristen’s hair and makeup.  She is always so sweet.  After getting ready, Kristen met Jeff on the beach for a First Sight.  By seeing each other before the ceremony, they were able to do many of their group pictures then so they could enjoy their cocktail hour before the reception.

With the rain that had passed through nearby areas earlier, the ceremony was windy but the breeze kept the guests cool even as they sat in the sunlight.  After the ceremony Kristen and Jeff took a few more pictures before heading over to  Island Way Grill for their cocktail hour and reception.  The decorations were beached themed with blue linens, centerpieces of candles floating in vases with shells on the bottom, and star fish table markers.  There was also a display of framed pictures from weddings of the couples’ relatives.  Dad liked the guest book the couple had made using their engagement images.

Just before they were introduced for their reception, dad took Kristen and Jeff outside for a short while to get sunset pictures.  Then it was back inside for dinner and dancing!  Guests enjoyed the surf and turf dinner, as did dad!  He said the food was amazing!  It was a wonderful day fo a wonderful couple.  Kristen and Jeff, we hope you have a long and happy life together!  Thanks to you and your families for being so friendly and great to dad.

Dad saw the Snuggie on a tv commercial and thought it looked so comfy!  He told mom that if he lived up north, he’d wear this thing around all the time and mom just laughed at him.  So mom thought it was pretty funny that the best man gave one for the bride and groom during his toast and said that they should use them to snuggle together often.
