Wedding at Davis Islands Garden Club: Katrina and Matthew

Katrina and Matt had an awesome engagement session!  Jason had a blast with all of their fun ideas and of course hanging out with the two of them!  He knew their wedding day was going to be just as great.  After Lili’s Weddings helped Katrina get ready for the big day, she headed to the University of Tampa for a First Sight with Matt.  It was sweet seeing them together, excited for the day ahead.  The wedding was at Davis Islands Garden Club.  Katrina and Matt did not disappoint with all their amazing details.  Wood plank signs, cornhole sets, twine and burlap, and lots of their engagement session images were some of the details that created a rustic yet romantic feel.  The DJ was DJ by CJ and the wedding cake was made by Elise’s Pieces.  Jason loved catching up with another couple whose wedding he photographed, and all of the guests had a great time laughing and celebrating a special day for a terrific couple.  Congratulations Katrina and Matt!

Wedding at the Davis Islands Garden Club: Jackie and Nick

Congratulations to Jackie and Nick!  They were married by the water at the Davis Islands Garden Club.  Jason was happy to see Jessica of Simply Divine Events again.  She was the planner for the wedding.  The videographer was Scott of Starstruck Video.  The main wedding color was orange with the guys in khaki suits.  Amy of Community Florist put together the orange floral arrangements.  The reception was catered by Delectables Catering and Felix the DJ was there to get the party going. He also put together the fun uplighting for the reception.  The wedding cake was made by Publix Greenwise.

Thanks to Jackie and Nick for having Jason there to share in your wedding day.  We hope the happiness of your wedding day grows throughout your marriage!

Wedding at Davis Islands Garden Club: Amber and Dan

“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow.  It’s what sunflowers do.” – Helen Keller

Amber and Dan had a beautiful wedding filled with big bright yellow sunflowers and deep blue accents.  They were married at Davis Islands Garden Club and had Alexis of 2Birds Events help put together all the wonderful details that made their day feel like it was held in the Italian countryside.  It was of course the sunflowers that made the day and Rose Garden Florist did a fantastic job with the arrangements and bouquets.  Jason was happy to see Rob Sword of Sword Sounds who was there to help officiate the wedding and as the DJ at the reception.  In the reception room the sunflower and blue theme continued.  Even the chandeliers were decorated with sunflowers and hanging blue glass bottles.  Each reception table had a potted floral arrangements with painted wine glasses and a bottle of wine in each.  The cork in the wine bottles held the table name of different cities in Italy.  Jason’s favorite part of the Italian details was the gelato that was served!  The wedding cake was from Betty Cakes and Amber and Dan used an adorable gator figurine as the cake topper.  The wedding guests had a great time dancing and celebrating.  There was even a game of beer pong on the patio!

Every detail came together perfectly for Amber and Dan’s wedding day.  Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Wedding at St. Paul Catholic Church and Davis Islands Garden Club: Thelma and Gary

Thelma and Gary know how to bring together silly and sweet.  Jason loved their picnic engagement session and couldn’t wait to see them again for their wedding day!  The ceremony was held at St. Paul Catholic Church and the reception was in Tampa at the Davis Islands Garden Club.  The morning of the wedding, Jason joined Thelma as she had her makeup done by Alicia from Jazzy Jewels Parties.  Thelma started off the day smiling and never stopped!  It is a beautiful thing to see a couple so happy and in love.

Thelma and Gary gave Jason enough time to walk around the streets of Tampa taking fun and creative bride and groom pictures without feeling rushed.  That always makes Jason happy!   The flowers came from Publix, the caterer was Catering by Robert, and the cake was from Sweetopia Bakery.  One of the wedding cake flavors was pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling.  How perfect for an autumn wedding!  Jason thought it was really sweet that the couple put a thank you message to their vendors on their menu.  They are such a great couple and we are honored that we were able to be part of their wedding day.  Congratulations newlyweds!

Davis Islands Garden Club Wedding: Carrie and Lee

Carrie and Lee were married on the most popular wedding date of the year, 10-10-10!  Dad photographed their engagement session just a month before their wedding and he was looking forward to seeing them again.  In China, the number 10 implies the Chinese idiom “perfection in everything” so getting married on 10-10-10 is thought to bring a couple a perfect marriage.  Carrie and Lee included many Chinese customs in their wedding day. They were married at the Davis Islands Garden Club.  Carrie started the day with the Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group for hair and makeup.  Carrie was a gorgeous bride!  Her gown, shoes, and especially her long veil were all stunning.  Lee’s cousin got the beautiful orchids from Everlast, Inc and other wedding flowers were done by Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet.

The couple had a first sight before the ceremony to be sure to have time for some fun and creative pictures.  They had their three dogs there in gowns and tuxes which dad thought was really cute.  The dogs also came down the aisle with the bridesmaids during the ceremony processional.  One of the bridesmaids was Liza whose wedding dad photographed last December.  Liza and Donald are such a fun couple and dad enjoyed seeing them both again.

At the reception, Phillip of Fast Break Entertainment was the DJ and the cake was made by Cigar City Cakes.  Carrie changed into a traditional Chinese wedding dress during the reception and dad took her and Lee outside for some night pictures.  As the reception came to an end Carrie changed once more into a cute white dress and the newlyweds left through a sparkler departure.  After the send off they grabbed their wedding party and had some fun with the sparklers before calling it a night.

Congratulations Carrie and Lee!  Everything came together so well to make a terrific wedding day.  We hope the Chinese idiom for your wedding date holds true for your marriage!
