Wedding at St. Paul Catholic Church and Davis Islands Garden Club: Thelma and Gary

Thelma and Gary know how to bring together silly and sweet.  Jason loved their picnic engagement session and couldn’t wait to see them again for their wedding day!  The ceremony was held at St. Paul Catholic Church and the reception was in Tampa at the Davis Islands Garden Club.  The morning of the wedding, Jason joined Thelma as she had her makeup done by Alicia from Jazzy Jewels Parties.  Thelma started off the day smiling and never stopped!  It is a beautiful thing to see a couple so happy and in love.

Thelma and Gary gave Jason enough time to walk around the streets of Tampa taking fun and creative bride and groom pictures without feeling rushed.  That always makes Jason happy!   The flowers came from Publix, the caterer was Catering by Robert, and the cake was from Sweetopia Bakery.  One of the wedding cake flavors was pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling.  How perfect for an autumn wedding!  Jason thought it was really sweet that the couple put a thank you message to their vendors on their menu.  They are such a great couple and we are honored that we were able to be part of their wedding day.  Congratulations newlyweds!

Davis Islands Garden Club Wedding: Carrie and Lee

Carrie and Lee were married on the most popular wedding date of the year, 10-10-10!  Dad photographed their engagement session just a month before their wedding and he was looking forward to seeing them again.  In China, the number 10 implies the Chinese idiom “perfection in everything” so getting married on 10-10-10 is thought to bring a couple a perfect marriage.  Carrie and Lee included many Chinese customs in their wedding day. They were married at the Davis Islands Garden Club.  Carrie started the day with the Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group for hair and makeup.  Carrie was a gorgeous bride!  Her gown, shoes, and especially her long veil were all stunning.  Lee’s cousin got the beautiful orchids from Everlast, Inc and other wedding flowers were done by Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet.

The couple had a first sight before the ceremony to be sure to have time for some fun and creative pictures.  They had their three dogs there in gowns and tuxes which dad thought was really cute.  The dogs also came down the aisle with the bridesmaids during the ceremony processional.  One of the bridesmaids was Liza whose wedding dad photographed last December.  Liza and Donald are such a fun couple and dad enjoyed seeing them both again.

At the reception, Phillip of Fast Break Entertainment was the DJ and the cake was made by Cigar City Cakes.  Carrie changed into a traditional Chinese wedding dress during the reception and dad took her and Lee outside for some night pictures.  As the reception came to an end Carrie changed once more into a cute white dress and the newlyweds left through a sparkler departure.  After the send off they grabbed their wedding party and had some fun with the sparklers before calling it a night.

Congratulations Carrie and Lee!  Everything came together so well to make a terrific wedding day.  We hope the Chinese idiom for your wedding date holds true for your marriage!

Davis Islands Garden Club Wedding: Yen and Jason

Congratulations to Yen and Jason!  They were married at the beautiful Davis Islands Garden Club.  It was obvious that family and friends meant a lot to the couple.  Yen and Jason’s guests came together to celebrate the couple’s love and to witness the bride and groom joining their lives together as one.  The food at the reception was from Catering by Robert and the DJ was from Delite Entertainment.  Yen and Jason also had Mobile Gaming Events come to the wedding and set up video game systems with a variety of video games.  It was a big hit with both the kids and with the adults!

The newlyweds are honeymooning in Hawaii which makes mom jealous.  We hope they have a terrific time!  Thanks to Yen and Jason for having dad there to capture the memories of your wedding day!

Wedding at the Davis Islands Garden Club: Amanda and Christopher

Amanda and Chris had their engagement session just one week before their wedding.  They were so excited for their big day to arrive and dad was happy to be there to share it with them.  They were married at the Davis Islands Garden Club.  This was dad’s third wedding in a row there yet every wedding was unique to that couple.  It is beautiful to see how every couple makes their day their own.

Dad met up with Amanda that morning as she was getting ready and was excited to see one of his past brides!  Savannah (springrrlie@aol.com) was there to do Amanda’s hair and dad got to catch up with her a bit.  Amanda also had the wonderful Julie Robbins of DS Make-up there for makeup.  Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the officiant and then rocked it out as the DJ for the reception.  The bouquets were made by Thai-Rific Orchids and Chef Michael of Let Them Eat Cake made the cake.

Amanda and Chris were lots of fun and full of smiles.  We hope that happiness they share together grows through the years.  Congratulations newlyweds!
