Wedding at St. Leo Abbey and The Lange Farm: Paige and Eric

Dad had a wonderful time at Paige and Eric’s wedding.  The ceremony was at Saint Leo Abbey.  The couple decided on a first sight before the ceremony which gave them lots of time for bride and groom pictures and bridal party pictures.  Dad always loves having extra time for pictures with the couple, and brides and grooms always love having more pictures with more variety after the wedding day!  The reception was held at The Lange Farm which is one of dad’s most favorite venues.  Michelle just rocks and there are lots of beautiful places for pictures there.

Paige had the talented and sweet Darla Stafford with her that morning for hair and makeup.  Paige was a gorgeous bride and mom loved the lace and ribbon on her gown.  The flowers were by Fishhawk Florist and matched the wedding colors of white and dark blue.  At the reception, dinner was from Catered by Vesh, the guests danced to music from a Grant Hemond DJ, and the pretty butterfly cake was made by Cakes by Design.  There were other butterfly details at the reception as well, such as the blue butterflies on the table markers.  Butterflies are becoming more and more popular as a wedding theme!

Thanks to Paige and Eric for having dad share your beautiful day with you and your friends and family.  We wish you lots of love and happiness!

Wedding at the Mirror Lake Lyceum: Jamie and Tristan

Jamie and Tristan are such good-hearted wonderful people and dad was honored to take part in their wedding day.  They had donated 101 cans of food as part of our contest to help feed the hungry (WOW!) and won an engagement session with dad.  Their wedding day was in June and they were married at the Mirror Lake Lyceum.  Meghan of Dream Day Productions was their coordinator and she did a terrific job, along with the rest of a talented team of vendors including the awesome Darla Stafford, Cara of Hearts Video, Delma’s, The Flower Booth, A Better Cheesecake, Amici’s Catering, and the always fun RJ Vida of Advance Entertainment Productions.

The wedding’s theme was A Midsummer’s Night Dream and the flower girls wore pretty fairy costumes in purples and greens.  Mom loved the bridesmaids’ attire!  They all had different colored gowns in beautiful summer colors.  The reception was decorated in pinks and purples and greens with lots of orchids and branches.  Tables were named after couples from Shakespeare plays and guests got their seating assignments on a booklet of cookie recipes.  Guests were also treated to lots and lots of homemade cookies.  Thanks to Meghan for setting some aside and sending them home for us, and of course thanks to Jamie and Tristan for that as well!

It was a day filled with emotion and love to celebrate an amazing couple.  We are incredibly happy for them and the wonderful future they have to look forward to.  Tristan and Jamie, thank you so much for having us share in your wedding and we hope you two stay in touch!

Rusty Pelican Wedding: Katie and Colin

When dad photographed Katie and Colin’s engagement session last fall he thought their dog was so cute.  Dad was excited to see that some pictures of Bentley at the session were made into cufflinks for the wedding day!

Katie and Colin put together a fantastic team of vendors for their wedding day.  Darla Stafford is so talented and super nice.  She was there for hair and makeup.  Chad Whelan is a wonderful videographer and dad has lots of fun working with him.  Reverend Tom Greene officiated over the ceremony and Rob Sword of Sword Sounds rocked out as the DJ for the reception.  Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet did the flowers and Chantilly Cakes made the yummy wedding cake.  Dad enjoyed working with everyone.

Mom loved the bright pink flowers and especially the mini crystal chandeliers used in the centerpieces.  The reception room looked beautiful!  Thanks so much to Katie and Colin for having dad as part of your wedding day.  Congratulations you two!

Lakeland Wedding at the Magnolia Building: Molly and David

We love this group!  Molly and David were married at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland.  Dad has photographed the weddings for 3 of Molly’s co-workers, Erin, Katrina, and Kyla, and all of them were married at the Magnolia Building as well!

Molly and David had their ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland.  It was a beautiful church despite the extremely grumpy church coordinator :)Darla Stafford joined Molly earlier for hair and makeup.  She is always terrific to work with.  Doug Decker from Grant Hemond did an awesome job as the DJ too.  The reception decorations came together so well!  The couple used a black and white damask pattern and their colors were yellow with white and black.  Mom loved all the details!  There were white and black ceramic bowls with lemons, a candy buffet with all sorts of yellow and black candies, and white and black lanterns filled with flower petals and candles as centerpieces.  Molly even wore little yellow flowers on her shoes!

Thanks to Molly and David for having dad there to celebrate your day.  He said you two were super nice and he had a great time.  Congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon!

Lange Farm Wedding: Kristen and Chris

With all the laughs they had at their engagement session, dad knew Kristen and Chris was going to have a wedding day that was full of love and happiness.  They were married at the beautiful Lange Farm, one of dad’s favorite places for weddings.  Dad got to work with Michelle who does a great job.  Everyone always loves Darla Stafford who was their to share her talents for Kristen’s hair and makeup.  The couple also had the incredible Rob Sword from Sword Sounds as both the officiant and the DJ.  Delectables was the caterer and the yummy Disney cake was made by Laurie of A Piece of Cake.  What an awesome team of vendors to work with!

Kristen and Chris chose a pretty persimmon color along with a chocolate brown as their wedding colors.  Dad loved that they strung up pictures on a clothesline as decoration and included some of their fun engagement images.  Mom’s favorite detail was the string of pearls that Kristen had draped on her bouquet.  Pearls make every wedding feel more classic and romantic!  Kristen and Chris, have fun on your Disney cruise and we hope you do live happily ever after!
