A La Carte Event Pavilion Wedding: Michelle and Zach

When Michelle talked about her wedding day, you could tell that she was just as excited (if not more!) about her future as Zach’s wife as she was about the day itself.  That is always a wonderful thing.  Dad had photographed Michelle and Zach’s engagement sessions last summer and was happy to join them again on their wedding day.  They were married at Saints Peter and Paul Maronite Catholic Church with their reception at the beautiful A La Carte Event Pavilion.  They always do such a great job with the decor and Michelle and Zach’s wedding was no exception.  The ceiling was draped in fabric with crystal chandeliers hanging, and purple lighting gave a splash of color to the black and white colors of the wedding.  Dana Dineen was the florist and created beautiful arrangements of white flowers for the bouquet, ceremony alter, and reception centerpieces.  Ian of Movie Magic Productions was the videographer and dad was happy to work with him again.  It was dad’s first time working with Tony of Grant Hemond and he did a great job playing music that kept Michelle, Zach, and their family and friends on the dance floor.

Michelle was a beautiful bride.  She wore a gorgeous Anne Barge gown from Malindy Elene Couture and mom loved the detailing on the bodice.  Cari from KyleLynn did Michelle’s hair with soft curls.  When Zach first saw her, he looked so proud to be marrying her.

It was easy to see how loved Michelle and Zach are.  Their friends and family had a wonderful time witnessing their vows and celebrating the start to their life together.  Congratulations newlyweds!  Many blessings to you both in your life as husband and wife!

Lauren and Glenn’s Wedding at the Mirror Lake Lyceum

On Saturday Lauren and Glenn were married at the Mirror Lake Lyceum.  They had a terrific team of vendors.  Stacy of Meant to be Wed was the coordinator, the talented Darla Stafford was there for hair and makeup, Pastor Dean Ryder was the officiant, Dana Dineen was the florist, and RJ Vida of Advance Entertainment Productions helped make the reception a lot of fun.

Lauren first got in touch with dad 2 1/2 years ago as she started her planning.  Dad was excited when her wedding day finally arrived!  He met her that morning as she was getting ready.  The couple has an absolutely adorable daughter and dad said she was awesome.

The pink uplighting at the reception looked great with the pink flower petals scattered on all the tables.  Candlelight and lit centerpieces gave the room a pretty atmosphere as well.  Towards the end of the reception, Lauren changed into a cute shorter dress to party!

Congratulations to Lauren and Glenn, and we wish you and your daughter lots of happiness in your lives together!  Thanks for having dad there to share your day!

Stephanie and Louis at Sunken Gardens

Over a year ago, dad first met Stephanie and Louis when they booked him for their wedding and shortly after had their engagement session in St. Petersburg.  They are simply an awesome couple.  Mom has had a chance to get to know Stephanie through her planning and was looking forward to her wedding day and to seeing her pictures.  Stephanie is a nanny for a great family that dad has photographed as well.

The wedding day finally arrived on Saturday.  Stephanie and Louis had Shawna from Flawless Occasions as their coordinator.  Dad has fun working with Shawna and she always does a wonderful job.  Stephanie got ready at Lola Jane’s Beauty Lounge where she had her hair done in a very classic bridal updo.  Stepahnie then went to her ceremony location, Trinity Lutheran Church, where Louis was waiting for the couple’s First Sight.  They had the biggest happy smiles when they saw each other!  Dad took some bride and groom pictures in the church and then the nearby streets before the ceremony began.

The reception was held at Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg.  Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ and did a terrific job.  Guests signed a guitar instead of a guest book which will make a great keepsake.  It was a wonderful celebration of Stephanie and Louis’s love and the start of their lives together, which they are both so excited about.  This is the beginning of their lifetime of happiness and we wish them the best.  Stephanie and Louis, even though you will be in another state you better keep in touch!

Amanda and Caton at the Don CeSar

Last Saturday Amanda and Caton were married at the Don CeSar.  The couple had Beth of Flawless Occasions as the wedding coordinator and dad was happy to work with her again.  Dad was also excited to see Cara from Hearts Video who was there for the ceremony and some of the portraits.

The ceremony was in the courtyard and Amanda and Caton had John Melchinger from A Perfect Witness as their officiant.  Mom absolutely loved the orange color that the couple used throughout the wedding.  The bridesmaids’ orange dresses were really cute and the flower girls wore white with orange sashes.  The other details such as the chair bows, menus, and favor boxes brought together the orange theme very well.  RJ Vida of Advance Entertainment Productions was the DJ for the reception and kept Amanda on the dance floor most of the night.

Dad said Amanda was lots of fun!  Both Amanda and Caton are great people and have wonderful families.  Dad enjoyed being there to capture these memories for them.  Now if only the newlyweds would have decided to fly dad to Italy to document their honeymoon trip too!! :)

Candice and Eugene at the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club

Saturday Candice and Eugene were married at The Academy of Holy Names Chapel in Tampa with their reception following at the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club.  Dad had photographed their engagement session in Tampa and again at a park (after it rained during their first session) and he was so happy that their day had finally arrived!

Zoe Gallina Event Styling and Coordination (zoegallina@yahoo.com) was the wedding planner and dad said it was great to meet Zoe and work with her at the wedding.  The videographers were Voila Cinematic and mom was excited to see a video on their blog about Joy FM.

Both Candice and Eugene were ready for some fun on their wedding day and could not wait to party!  Impulse Entertainment was the DJ and kept the couple dancing and celebrating.  Dad said it was a blast watching their dance moves and seeing how much they were enjoying themselves.  They ended the night with a sparkler departure.  Congratulations Candice and Eugene!  Thanks for having dad share in your wedding day.

Jessica and Chris at Davis Island Garden Club

Last August dad photographed Brie and Rich’s wedding.  Not only were Brie and Rich great, but their families were also really welcoming and friendly so dad was very excited when Rich’s brother Chris got in touch about his own wedding.  A month ago dad met up with Chris and Jessica for their engagement session in Tampa.  They started in the same place where Brie had her bridal session.  How fun that both couples will have memories in the same location.

Jessica and Chris were married at Davis Island Garden Club in Tampa.  They did a terrific job decorating and mom was loving their details as she was going through their pictures!  They used yellow and green as wedding colors, perfect for an April wedding.  The wedding had branches, flowers, and plants to give it an earthy feel with shells to bring in a bit of Florida.  Branches with yellow flowers created arches at the ceremony site and were also behind the head table at the reception.  Shells on yellow ribbons hung on the ceremony chairs by the aisle.  Potted plants were given as favors for the guests and doubled as the seating assignments.  The cocktail tables had big green leaves with shells scattered around a vase.  The vase was decorated with a rafia bow and held a candle in sand and shells.  Little rafia bows were also used on the couple’s programs.  The reception room’s centerpieces were beautiful big yellow flowers next to tall vases with flowers submerged in water.  It all came together beautifully.

Jessica had her hair and makeup done by Cari Collinsworth with Kyle Lynn Studios before getting dressed in her beautiful gown.  The ceremony took place in front of the Davis Island Garden Club gazebo and was officiated by Pastor Cindy.  Catering by the Family did the food and the shell covered cake for the reception.  Dad thought it was fun when Chris took over the mic for a bit to sing for his guests.  The newlyweds left the wedding in a boat through a bubble send off.

Thanks to Jessica and Chris for a great wedding!  Congratulations!

Claire and Shai at the Mirror Lake Lyceum

Claire and Shai are married!  Dad photographed their wedding on Saturday at the Mirror Lake Lyceum.  They first booked dad at the end of 2007 and had their engagement session about a year ago so dad has been looking forward to their day for a while.  Mom has been talking to Claire about the wedding plans and details through email and she was really excited to see how everything came together.  And it came together beautifully!

It is always wonderful to work with Darla Stafford, and she is so talented!  She did Claire’s hair and makeup the morning of the wedding as she got ready at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort.  Claire looked amazing!  Her gown was perfect for her and the detailing both around the waist and down the train was gorgeous.  Meghan and Angela from Dream Day Productions were the wedding coordinators.  Dad was happy to see them again and they did a terrific job.

To get family pictures done before the ceremony, Claire and Shai had a First Sight.  Shai had the biggest smile as he waited for Claire, who was teary with emotion, to approach from behind.  It was a really sweet moment.  Seeing each other before the ceremony did not take anything away from the emotion of Claire coming down the aisle though!  That moment brought both the bride and groom to tears.  Marci Vitkus was the officiant and led the couple through the Jewish traditions that they included.  Dad has worked with Marci before and thinks she is great.

The wedding colors were green and purple with accents in white and the reception room was decorated with bright floral arrangements in those colors as well as linens and chair sashes to make the tables pretty.  Mom liked how the guest tables were round and had white tablecloths and green chair sashes to contrast with the head table which was a long table with a green table cloth and white chair sashes.  Chivari chairs were used at both the ceremony and reception and dressed up the look.

Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ and Claire, Shai, and their guests had a blast on the dance floor!  During the reception, Claire changed into a fun dress and her and Shai performed a salsa dance.  They also packed the dance floor for the Hora.  Claire and Shai took a quick break from dancing to get some pictures outside the Lyceum at night, but when they went back in they weren’t ready for the party to end and neither were their guests!  Everyone was having such a wonderful time that the couple extended the reception to make the special day last a bit longer and to celebrate for just a little while more.

What a terrific day for an awesome couple.  Claire and Shai are great people and we know they are going to have happy life together.  Congratulations and thanks so much for having us as a part of your wedding!

Brie and Rich

We’re back from Georgia and it was so nice to have a weekend away. We had some quality family time during the road trip and with mom while dad was at the wedding. And mom went to bed early each night and caught up on sleep! Thanks so much to Kelly and Ryan for having dad up there to photograph your wedding. We’ll have some pictures on the blog for you soon!

We didn’t get a chance to blog about it before we left, but last Sunday was Brie and Rich’s wedding. Their engagement session was on our old blog and we just blogged about Brie’s bridal session last month. Dad had been looking forward to their wedding!

Brie had the amazing Darla Stafford there for hair and makeup. Darla not only does a great job with hair and makeup, but dad says he also appreciates how Darla is always careful about timing and making sure things don’t run too far behind.

Brie and her bridesmaids got ready at the Doubletree near the reception site and dad met them there.

The ceremony was at Prince of Peace Lutheran in Largo. The pastor must have had a very bad experience with photographers in the past because he was stringent about the “rules” and even stopped as he was walking down the aisle to remind dad about them. But dad was fine with it and it was a very nice ceremony. Dana Dineen was the florist and put together beautiful alter pieces with branches and hanging red ferns as accents. She also did the bouquets and made sure to include a small red accent flower for the bridesmaids.

The reception was held at the Rusty Pelican and when dad first got there it was too rainy for the bride and groom and bridal party pictures they had planned to do outside. But the rain eventually let up and Brie and Rich got some great night pictures in front of the water.

The videographer for the wedding was AMC Video. Dad has worked with Annmarie before but this was his first time working with Rob. The other Rob at the wedding was Rob Sword of Sword Sounds who was the DJ. Dad had just worked with him the night before as well! He is terrific.

Brie, Rich, and all of their family and friends were so kind and dad came home telling mom how friendly everyone was all day long. Brie and Rich are a loving couple and we know they are going to build a beautiful life together. You two better be sure to stay in touch!!!
