Wedding at Sacred Heart and the Tampa Marriott Waterside: Francesca and John

A Walking Song

Around the Corner there may wait

A new road or secret gate,

And though I ‘oft have passed them by,

A day will come at last when I

Shall take the hidden paths that run

West of the Moon, East of the Sun.

–J.R.R. Tolkien

I absolutely love how Chessa and John made every detail of their wedding reflect their style and personalities.  Everything came together perfectly to create a day just for them!  There was Chessa’s unique dress and veil, the bridesmaids’ beautiful dresses which each had a different color tied belt, bright and colorful bouquets and a different centerpiece for every table at the reception, a hand-drawn map included in the invitations which were typed on a typewriter and had sewn edges, origami decorating the centerpieces at the reception, typewriters set up for guests to write love letters, fresh-water stones hand picked by Chessa and John at Lake Michigan for their guests to take, a balloon twister, and a VW bus that the couple drove around on their wedding day and for a honeymoon road trip to Key West.  It was such a unique and fun wedding!

The ceremony was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the reception followed at the Tampa Marriott Waterside.  Roma of Roma Rooms was the wedding coordinator.  The couple rented their VW bus from Florida Oldschool Campers and also took a ride in a water taxi with Captain Larry from Tampa Water Taxi Co.  Julian was the floral designer for the flowers from The Potting Shed.  The band at the reception was DeLeon Entertainment.  Chessa and John had their wedding cake decorated with flowers similar to those on Chessa’s veil and the groom’s cake was a VW bus!  Kim at Chocolate Pi did a terrific job on the cakes.

The wedding was beautiful and unique and Jason loved being a part of it.  Jason also thought it was pretty awesome that the couple’s sister-in-law had our same last name!  Maybe we are all related somehow:).  Chessa and John, thank you for having Jason there to capture your day and we hope your honeymoon VW road trip was as awesome as it sounds like it would be!

Wedding at the Davis Islands Garden Club: Alyssa and Peter

Alyssa and Peter had their engagement session with dad in Tampa and on May day they were back in Tampa with dad for their wedding day!  Their wedding colors were purple and green which looked bright and fun together.  Alyssa even wore pretty purple shoes!  The wedding was at Davis Islands Garden Club and the couple decorated with purple and green pillows, paper lanterns, and uplighting.  Cari of Kyle Lynn did Alyssa’s hair and makeup.  Mom loved how Alyssa’s hair looked.  She was such a beautiful bride!  David from Trinity Wedding Video was great to work with as the videographer.  The purple and green flowers were done by Irene at For Better For Less.  At the reception, Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ and the cake was made by Chocolate Pi.

Alyssa and Peter are so nice and so in love!  It was great for dad to be there to share their wedding day with them.  Congratulations you two!

Don CeSar Wedding: Daron and Jim

Daron and Jim had a beautiful wedding at the Don CeSar on St. Pete beach.  They are a really sweet couple and deserved their special day.  Dad was happy to work with Jennifer of A Friend of the Bride again.  She was the couple’s wedding planner and she always does a wonderful job.  Linny Correa with Colours by Linny was there for beauty services.  Amy of Not From a Box made the beautiful stationary including the invitations, programs, menus, and table cards.  Daron and Jim’s flowers were done by Apple Blossoms Floral Design and Gifts and mom loved the crystals hanging off of the ceremony arrangements.  Rob Sword from Sword Sounds is an awesome DJ and had the guests partying.  Well, Rob AND the martini luge!  The linens at the reception were from Linens by the Sea and the talented bakers at Chocolate Pi made the couple’s cake.

Congratulations Daron and Jim!  Thanks for having dad there to share in your wedding celebration!

Daron was a stunning bride!

Lange Farm Wedding: Kristi and Bryan

The Lange Farm in Dade City is a beautiful wedding venue.  Dad loves photographing there, and working with Michelle and the rest of the girls at the Lange Farm.  They are always really nice and lots of fun to talk to.  Kristi and Bryan were married at the Lange Farm the day before Valentine’s Day.  There was a terrific team of vendors including Trinity Wedding Video for videography, Rob Sword of Sword Sounds as the DJ, and Chocolate Pi for the cake.  The couple also had Marble Slab Creamery (407-346-SLAB) at the reception making ice cream for the guests.  Dad said the bowls of ice cream they made were huge and very yummy!  Mom thought Kristi’s dress was gorgeous.  It had one shoulder strap with flowers and then matching flowers on the opposite side of the gown  below the hips where it changed from fitted to full.  Kristi looked amazing wearing it, and she made it fun too with bright pink shoes underneath!

The wedding theme was black and white with splashes of hot pink, making it elegant yet fun!  The ceremony site had chandeliers and flower arrangements hanging from the trees.  Branches of the centerpieces had crystals hanging from them.  Besides being treated to the ice cream, guests were also given mini bottles of sangria mix as favors.

Congratulations to Kristi and Bryan on your beautiful wedding!  Everything came together wonderfully.  We hope Cabo was awesome!!

Sara and Brian at the Embassy Suites Tampa

Within an eleven day period, dad has eight weddings and four sessions!  It is going to be a crazy fun two weeks, and Sara and Brian started things off with their wedding on Thursday at the Embassy Suites Tampa.  Dad said they are an awesome couple!  They were up for anything dad suggested and they had fun with it.  Dad was so happy that they had a first sight so he had time for their bride and groom pictures.

The couple had their friend Lisa as their wedding coordinator and dad said she was great at keeping things organized and on time.  Lou of The Arrangement Florist did the flowers and Chocolate Pi made the couple’s cake.  It is always great to work with Darla Stafford and Rob Sword!  Darla was there for Sara’s hair and makeup (dad is working with her for three weddings in a row this weekend!) and Rob was the DJ at the reception.

Sara and Brian were such a fun couple and dad really enjoyed being there as they started their married life together.  Congratulations newlyweds!!  Have a great time in Maui!  Dad photographed Lisa and Joe’s wedding and they left for their honeymoon in Maui on Friday, so dad says you two should have gotten together to fly him out as well:).
