Wedding at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center: Jennifer and Kristofer

Jen and Kris are awesome!  Dad was with them as they celebrated their wedding at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center.  They are a really fun couple and really kindhearted as well.  The bride and groom put together a terrific team of vendors for their day!  Tammy Waterman of Special Moments was the wonderful wedding planner.  The incredible Darla Stafford was there for hair and makeup.  Rob Sword of Sword Sounds shared his talent as both the officiant and the DJ.  Carter’s Florist put together the colorful red and orange and yellow and green floral arrangements.  The yummy reception food was made by Delectables Catering and the couple’s cupcake tower and cake were made by Chef Nelson.

Dad had a blast with Jen and Kris.  Their wedding was filled with love and emotion and fun and celebration.  The day fit the couple perfectly!  We hope the joy of the wedding day lasts throughout their lives.  Congratulations to Jen and Kris, and thank you for having us share such a special time with you!

Wedding at the Gulfport Casino: Caitlin and Joshua

Caitie and Josh are one of those couples that you spend five minutes with and know they were meant to be together.  Dad had a great time photographing their wedding with the ceremony at St. Jude Cathedral and the reception at the Gulfport Casino.  Caitie had Michele Renee of the Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group for her makeup.  Caitie’s aunt, Beth Plant, works at Zac’s Hair Design Studio & Spa and did Caitie’s hair.  The ceremony was beautiful and you could see how happy the couple was every time you looked at them.  The reception had Carefree Catering for the food and the cake was made by Chef Nelson Cake Studio.  The always terrific Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ and he made sure everyone had a fun time.

Congratulations newlyweds!  We hope you the happiness of your wedding day lasts for all your days together.

Angelia and Nathan’s Wedding at the Sirata

Back in June, dad had so much fun with Angie and Nate at their engagement session.  They had a great time and got some beautiful images so dad was really looking forward to their wedding day!  The big day was Friday and dad headed to the beach for their wedding at the Sirata.  Dad got to see the fabulous Darla Stafford again as she did Angie’s hair and makeup.  Dad and Darla have three weddings in a row together this weekend!  Angie and Nate’s other vendors included For Better For Less as the florist, DJ Rob Vollmar from Grant Hemond, and Chef Nelson for the wedding cake.

The weather was finally starting to cool off and it was a beautiful day for a beach wedding.  Angie and Nate had an awesome wedding party, though the groomsmen taught dad some very colorful terms that he wishes he could go back and unlearn;).  The wedding was lots of fun and Angie and Nate didn’t stop smiling all day long.  Congratulations Angie and Nate, and thanks for having dad there to celebrate with you!

Tanya and Daniel at Countryside Country Club

Dad is helping us blog about the super fun wedding he photographed on Saturday.  He spent the day with Tanya and Dan  at the Countryside Country Club.  Dad had photographed the wedding of their friends Ian and Chrissy who were both in the bridal party.  It was great to see them again!  Their two year anniversary is coming up this year!

Before the ceremony dad had some fun with the dress and rings and even caught Tanya and Dan’s son passed out before the day really started. Though there was no rain the ceremony site did see a bit of unexpected precipitation but was quickly taken care of by the wedding coordinator and everything was fine before any of the guests arrived.

Dad thought it was wonderful that Tanya and Dan gave their son an important part in the ceremony as he walked down the aisle with Dan. Rob from Grant Hemond was the DJ for the reception and had the guests dancing and having such a great time that the couple even extended the party!  Of course the ice luge may of helped a bit as well.  Dan rocked the karoke with a song to Tanya.  Another fun reception moment was the family tradition of attaching a real ball and chain to the groom. It looked like Dan was dragging a bowling ball on his ankle and the ball was locked with pad lock that only Tanya could remove with her key. Luckily Tanya did unlock him.  The yummy cake was made by Chef Nelson and the flowers were arranged by DD’s Blooms. Dad said he had a blast and was happy to be a part of such a terrific day. Congratulations newlyweds!!

Nikki and Steve at the Renaissance Tampa Hotel International Plaza

On Sunday Nikki and Steve were married at the Renaissance Tampa Hotel International Plaza.  It was dad’s first time photographing a wedding there and other than the overly dedicated parking guard:)he thought the people there were great.  Nikki’s morning started super early as she had her hair done at 5:30 am by Michele Renee of Michelle Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group.  Dad joined her a couple hours later and everyone seemed energetic and upbeat despite the early start.  Shawna from Flawless Occasions was the couple’s planner and dad thought she did a great job.  After emailing with her, it was great to meet her in person!  The couple also had R-J Vida from Advance Entertainment as their DJ for the night.

Dad had two favorite parts to Nikki and Steve’s wedding.  The first was Nikki’s surprise to Steve during the reception.  Nikki had arranged for a barbershop quartet to sing as dinner began.  Dad thought they sounded great and he liked their rendition of Auld Lang Syne.  Dad’s other favorite was the cake topper on the cake made by Chef Nelson’s Cake Studio.  It was Rudolph and Clarice from the Christmas television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  Dad was excited to show us a picture of the cake topper because he knew we would think it was cool.  Dad also likes to share the useless trivia that Rudolph was originally “invented” in 1939 for Montgomery Ward department stores.  Mom remembers shopping there as a kid and during Christmas their bags had big pictures of Rudolph on them.

Of course another part of the wedding dad loved was working with Nikki and Steve.  They were focused on what was really important about the day; not the wedding itself as much as the marriage.  They were starting their lives together as husband and wife and they kept that in their minds and hearts all day.  Nikki and Steve, thank you for having dad there for your wedding day and we wish you the best!
