Wedding at Sunken Gardens: Sylvia and John

When Sylvia and John stopped by a record store during their awesome engagement session it was just a little taste of what their wedding day would be.  They were married at Sunken Gardens and their day had a really fun music theme!  Desiree from Magical Plan-It Events was the planner and helped put all the details together.  Jason loves working with David and Kristina of Trinity Wedding Video who were there as the videographers.  They shared a Sneak Peek Film that helped to capture the wonderful day.  Sylvia had her makeup done by Beautiful You MakeupCarter’s Florist did the flowers for the day and the bridesmaids’ bouquets were pretty with black feathers under the flowers.  At the reception the caterer was Amici’s Catering, Chantilly Cakes made the wedding cake which had music notes as part of the decoration, and the DJ was Richard Blade who came from California.

Sylvia and John are such sweet people and their wedding was a blast!  The ceremony was just after sunset and the reception was a terrific celebration.  Jason came home from the wedding with so many great songs stuck in his head!  He said there was awesome music all night which you of course have to have when your wedding has a music theme.  The tables were framed album covers from a wide variety of bands.  Favors had a mini record attached that said “Take Me Home Tonight” (I love 80s music!)  Guests signed in on CD info pages that were put into a CD case.  On the tables were papers for guests to write music requests for the DJ.  Kids had fun with legos and coloring books and lots of dancing.  Jason was happy to see Jamie and Tristan who were guests at the wedding.  It was such a fun night for the bride, groom, and all of their guests!

Sylvia and John’s love for each other and their kind hearts are obvious to everyone who sees them.  We are so happy for them!  Congratulations newlyweds!

Wedding at Sacred Heart and the Rusty Pelican: Nicole and David

Nicole and David were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with their reception following at the Rusty Pelican.  The couple had a wonderful team of vendors including Darla Stafford for hair and makeup, Ian of Movie Magic Productions for videography, Irene of For Better For Less as the florist, a cake from Chantilly Cakes, and Ben from Grant Hemond as the DJ.  After their ceremony and pictures in the church, the bride and groom and their wedding party went to downtown Tampa for some pictures before joining their reception.  Jason had a great time at the wedding and said the day went wonderfully.  Congratulations to the newlyweds, and thanks for having us there to capture your wedding day memories!

Wedding at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Rusty Pelican: Sarah and Carey

It is wonderful to be a part of the special moments in people’s lives, and when you have a couple that you know you will continue to see as years go on it makes their wedding day even more meaningful.  Dad has photographed weddings and sessions for Sarah and Carey’s friends and family and it was so great to see them as they shared in Sarah and Carey’s big day!  Dad has also photographed Sarah and Carey’s super cute dog Bella when she joined them for their engagement session and the couple used those images in their guest book.

The ceremony was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the reception followed at the Rusty Pelican.  Pinks and creams and golds were the wedding colors and Fishhawk Florist put together pretty bouquets and floral arrangements with those colors.  The reception music was by Synchronicity Band and Chantilly Cakes made a pink and white cake with gorgeous detailing.

Dad had a blast with Melody and Brendan and Sarah and Rob at the wedding too.  They are all a really fun group and dad looks forward to sharing in more happy memories with all of them!  Thank you for having us as part of your lives.  Congratulations to Sarah and Carey and we can’t wait to see the wonderful things the future has in store for your married life together!

Mom loves Sarah’s bustle.

The comments that this group made about this picture when we put it in a Facebook album were even more funny than the picture itself!  None of them even remember dad taking it:)!

Wedding at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort: Amy and Paul

Amy and Paul’s beach wedding at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort was lots of fun!  From the bride’s Steve Madden jelly shoes to the groom’s surf board to the impromptu game of musical chairs at the reception to the skateboarders during the bride and groom pictures, it was a blast!  Irene of For Better For Less was the florist, Doug Decker from Grant Hemond kept the crowd going as the DJ, and Chantilly Cakes made the wedding cake.  It was an awesome day for an awesome couple!  Dad says he wants Paul to send a picture of his office once he hangs the Pennywise surf board in it.  He saw it and bought it on his wedding day!  Mom thinks they should have gone out in the water and surfed with it.  They could have dried off with their cute personalized wedding towels!  Congratulations Amy and Paul!

Rusty Pelican Wedding: Katie and Colin

When dad photographed Katie and Colin’s engagement session last fall he thought their dog was so cute.  Dad was excited to see that some pictures of Bentley at the session were made into cufflinks for the wedding day!

Katie and Colin put together a fantastic team of vendors for their wedding day.  Darla Stafford is so talented and super nice.  She was there for hair and makeup.  Chad Whelan is a wonderful videographer and dad has lots of fun working with him.  Reverend Tom Greene officiated over the ceremony and Rob Sword of Sword Sounds rocked out as the DJ for the reception.  Debbie of The Bride’s Bouquet did the flowers and Chantilly Cakes made the yummy wedding cake.  Dad enjoyed working with everyone.

Mom loved the bright pink flowers and especially the mini crystal chandeliers used in the centerpieces.  The reception room looked beautiful!  Thanks so much to Katie and Colin for having dad as part of your wedding day.  Congratulations you two!
