Wedding at the Don CeSar: Ashley and Robert

Jason had a terrific time at Ashley and Robert’s wedding!  He photographed their engagement session in the spring and had been looking forward to their big day.  They were married at the Don CeSar on St. Pete Beach.  Ashley and Robert had a fantastic team of vendors and Jason was happy to be part of the team.  Beth of Flawless Occasions was the wedding planner.  The details looked amazing and the day ran smoothly thanks to Beth.  The talented Cari of Kyle Lynn Weddings was there for hair and makeup.  Dana Dineen put together the gorgeous floral arrangements.  The ceremony was on the steps of the Don CeSar and John from A Perfect Witness was the officiant.  Scott of Life’s Highlights was there as the videographer for the day.  RJ Vida is always a great DJ and the reception room looked beautiful thanks to his up-lighting.  Laurie of A Piece of Cake made the wedding cake and she always does a wonderful job.  I almost needed to use a thesaurus just to describe how great all of these vendors are at what they do:).

Ashley and Robert had their first look before the ceremony so they could do their wedding party photos and some of the bride and groom pictures as well.  After the ceremony they had their family photos and finished with bride and groom pictures before joining their guests to party at the reception.  The purple wedding color and all the details came together to create a fabulous look in the reception room.  Guests enjoyed the cake pops that were at each place setting as well as cigars from the cigar roller who was there.  Ashley and Robert had lots of fun with their family and friends.  Jason was excited to see Lauren and Cliff, and Cliff’s awesome dance moves, at the reception!

Thanks to Ashley and Robert for letting Jason be part of their amazing wedding day.  We hope Maui was a terrific honeymoon!

Wedding at East Lake Woodlands Country Club: Hilary and Derek

Jason photographed Hilary and Derek’s engagement session and they were such a pretty couple that Jason knew they would look amazing on their wedding day!  They were married at the East Lake Woodlands Country Club.  The talented Cari of Kylelynn Weddings was there for Hilary’s hair.  The wedding had a fall theme with many of the flowers from Events in Bloom in shades of orange.  The officiant was Pastor Dean Ryder and at the reception the DJ was Frank Lebano and the cake was made by Sweet Caroline’s Bakery.

Thanks to Hilary and Derek for having Jason share in the celebration of you starting your lives together!  Congratulations to the happy couple and many blessings for a wonderful life as husband and wife!

Wedding at Ruth Eckerd Hall: Leighann and Trevor

After an engagement session that was a lot of laughs, Jason had been looking forward to joining Leighann and Trevor on their wedding day.  He knew it would be a blast photographing such a fun couple, and they did not disappoint!  Jason joined Leighann as she got ready at her mom’s house that morning.  Cari of KyleLynn Weddings was there and she is always terrific.  Leighann learned an important lesson about deodorant and black lint that morning:)  The bride and her friends and family kept Jason entertained all morning.

The ceremony was held at the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Jason felt special when he saw a “Reserved for Photographer” mat made just for him!  The Pastor had some pretty strict rules for him.  Normally she didn’t allow photographs at all during the marriage service but the bride and groom had made arrangements and Jason was allowed to take photographs if he stood on that mat and did not move or even lean over.  He was told that the Pastor would stop the service if he did so he made sure to behave.

The reception was at Ruth Eckerd Hall and Eric from Grant Hemond was there as the DJ.  The guest book was a beautiful album of the couple’s engagement pictures and there was a large framed engagement image on the table with the seat assignments.  The reception was so much fun and everyone had a great time!  Jason pulled the couple away for a short time to get some pictures with the rainbow in the sky and at sunset and then everyone went back to dancing and enjoying themselves.

Leighann and Trevor’s wedding day really reflected the two of them as a couple: bright, fun, and beautiful!  Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Stick a Fork in Kristy and Lee, They’re Done!

Kristy and Lee were married at the Grand Plaza Resort which is always a favorite of Jason’s.  Kristy had the talented Cari of Kyle Lynn Cosmetics there for hair and makeup.  The florist was the wonderful Heather of The Rose Garden and at the reception Josh of Expert Productions was the DJ and the beautiful cake was from A Piece of Cake.

It is always great when couples make their wedding day unique and meaningful to them as a couple.  When Kristy and Lee got engaged they thought the phrase “Stick a fork in me, I’m done!” fit their situation so well that they decided to make it the theme of their wedding!  There were forks of all styles and sizes throughout the day!  The ring bearer carried a giant fork, there was a fork ice sculpture, a fork on the cake topper, seating cards being held by forks, forks holding hands, and beautifully engraved Mr. and Mrs. forks.  Kristy, Lee, and their guests celebrated and had a terrific time.

Congratulations Kristy and Lee!  You two are far from done; this is just the beginning of a new adventure!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Melissa and Kent

Melissa and Kent had their beach wedding at the Grand Plaza Resort in St. Petersburg.  The couple had the always amazing Shawna of Flawless Occasions as their wedding coordinator.  Dad always has a fun time when working with her.  Cari of Kyle Lynn Weddings was there for hair and makeup and she is terrific as well.  The wedding flowers were done by Dana Dineen and there were lots of roses decorating both the ceremony arch and the reception.  John from A Perfect Witness was the officiant at the ceremony and at the reception Corey from Grant Hemond was the DJ.  The cake was bright and bold with red, orange, and pink layers decorated with deep blue accents.  Laurie of A Piece of Cake did a great job with it!
