Lido Beach Wedding: Marisa and Sean

Marisa and Sean celebrated their wedding day with a beach ceremony on Lido Beach and a reception at a private residence.  Marisa had her hair and makeup done at Les Ciseaux salon in Sarasota.  We wish we were better at knowing the names of flowers because Marisa’s bouquet from Beneva Flowers was so pretty!  It was a striking mixture of roses, lilies, and orchids (we think!)  The reception was catered by Sonny’s Bar-B-Q with the wedding cake from Cakes by Ron.  Dad said Marisa and Sean were laid back and lots of fun.  Sean had a custom made suit and mom loved that the couple’s wedding date was embroidered into the collar.

Thanks to Marisa and Sean for having dad share your day with you!  It was a beautiful wedding with lots of love and celebration!

Kerin and Brian at Lido Beach Resort

Kerin and Brian were married on Friday at the Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota.  The couple live in Boston and came to Florida to have their wedding on the gorgeous beaches here.  Beneva Flowers was the florist and used lots of orchids for the bride’s bouquet and the ceremony flowers.  Orchid arrangements were on the corners of the bamboo canopy that Kerin and Brian had set up on the beach.  Frank Lebano was the DJ for the reception and this group loved to party!  The groom had some awesome dance moves, matched only by the lap dances done by a couple of the guests.  Kerin and Brian were terrific and dad was happy to share their day with them.  Congratulations Kerin and Brian!

Lissie and Patrick at the Crosley

Bright and colorful weddings are awesome!  Lissie and Patrick were married on Friday at the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota.  Instead of choosing one or two colors as the wedding colors, they chose navy as a main color with lots of vibrant colors every where throughout the day.  Bridesmaids all carried bouquets in different colors to match their shoes.  The Maid of Honor carried a bouquet with lots of colors and had the coolest shoes!  They were blue with multi-colored polka dots on them.  At the ceremony, programs were printed on fans which were all different colors.  The couple had encouraged guests to wear hats and some of them had really fun ones!  Dad’s favorites were the wide brimmed colorful sun hats.

At the reception, guests could change into flip flops the couple had put out as dancing shoes.  Fitz from Jay Goodley Entertainment was the DJ to get everyone dancing.  Some tables had centerpieces of fish bowls with live fish, and there were also colorful flower arrangements to look like the tops of small potted trees.  Color was every where and it made the wedding festive and fun.  Lissie and Patrick did a wonderful job with the details of their day and it all came out beautifully.  Congratulations newlyweds!

Melanie and Kurt at the Crosley

Last Friday Melanie and Kurt were joined by their closest family members and friends at the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota where they celebrated their wedding.  Melanie is from the UK and dad thought the accent was awesome.  He didn’t sound as cool when he tried to copy it though.

Tammy Gamso did hair and makeup and Melanie looked absolutely beautiful.  Beneva Flowers put together bright gerber daisies for the floral arrangements which was perfect for a wedding at the beginning of fall. Grace from A Wedding with Grace was the officiant and dad hopes to work with her again soon. The ceremony was simple and sweet and had many of the guests in tears.  Mom thought this poem was very touching:

These I Can Promise

I cannot promise you a life of sunshine
I cannot promise you riches, wealth or gold
I cannot promise you an easy pathway
That leads away from change or growing old.

But I can promise you all my heart’s devotion;
a smile to chase away your tears of sorrow;
a love that’s ever true and ever growing;
a hand to hold in yours through each tomorrow.

The reception was catered by Simply Gourmet Caterers and the food looked yummy!  There was a lot of laughter, celebration, and love to start off Melanie and Kurt’s married life together.  Dad was grateful that he was there to share in the day.  Congratulations Melanie and Kurt!  You two are a wonderful couple and have very loving friends and family.

Here are a few pictures from the wedding:

Nichole & Blair

To help mom out Dad gets to help us out with a few more blog posts:).

Dad had a wonderful day with Nichole, Blair and their family in Sarasota. Everyone was so welcoming and they have the cutest daughter. We even got to play with her when her parents first came to meet with dad and had lots of fun.  I hope we can do it again one day!

The day started with Nichole getting ready at her family’s house. There were so many people getting ready for the day and it was nice seeing everyone together to share in such an awesome day.  Carrie from Kyle Lynn did a great job as the hair and makeup stylist.

Dad was not the only one taking pictures. Here is their daughter doing a pretty good job herself.

Of course there always has to be a great shoe shot!

The ceremony was at First Presbyterian and their daughter had a fun time checking everything out.

After the ceremony dad had some fun with the bridal party and bride and groom.

The reception was at the Hyatt Regency and their cake looked wonderful!  The flowers were arranged by Julie at Beneva Flowers.

Congratulations Nichole and Blaire! We wish you the happiest of lives.
