Wedding at Hollis Gardens and the Magnolia Building: Heather and Dennis

Heather and Dennis had a summer garden wedding in Lakeland.  Their friends and family gathered to celebrate as the couple was married at the Hollis Garden and had their reception at the nearby Magnolia Building The team of vendors included Creative Flower Designs by Glenn, DJ Joey Jam, Cupcake Alley, and Affordable Catering.

The bride was beautiful in her gown covered in beading and sheer shrug with lace accents.  The bridesmaids wore long purple silk gowns in a variety of styles and the guys wore khaki pants with blue button up shirts.  The color pink was brought in through the bridesmaids’ fans and the flowers.  The variety of the pink, purple, and blue pastels created a soft summery look for the wedding day.  Mom is always a fan of pearls at a wedding and at the reception the couple had pearls filling the bottom of vases holding flowery branches.

Congratulations to the bride and groom, and best of luck in your new lives together!

Wedding at The Palmetto Club: Karly and Matt

We were so excited for Karly and Matt’s wedding!  The priest that married them, Father Mike, baptized two of us:).  Karly and Matt were married at St. Stephen Catholic Church and then had their reception at The Palmetto Club.  Dad photographed Matt’s sister Beth’s wedding to her husband William last year and it was great to see her as a bridesmaid for Karly and Matt.

Karly had her makeup done at Bleu Salon and Spa in Valrico and mom thinks her hairstyle looked so pretty!  The main wedding color was purple.  The Cottage made Karly’s bouquet of white flowers with a bit of purple and the bridesmaids’ bouquets had those same white and purple flowers along with additional deep purple flowers.  The centerpieces at the reception had a tall stem of purple flowers with a fish swimming in the vase!  Some of the guests really seemed to enjoy the fish…too much!  Having the fish as part of the centerpieces worked well with the fisherman groom’s cake.  Kevin Kramer was the DJ and the food was from Affordable Catering.

Congratulations Karly and Matt!  May God bless your marriage with love and joy as you grow in the vows you shared on your wedding day.  It was special for dad to be there to witness your ceremony.  Thank you!

Clearwater Beach Wedding: Pam and Allen

Pam and Allen are such a sweet couple!  They had their wedding at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center.  Their vendors included Exquisite Silks for the flowers, Affordable Catering for the food, Di’s Delights for the cake, and Sunset Entertainment for their DJ.  The couple also had their family as part of their wedding team as well!  The bride’s grandpa was the videographer and the bride’s father was the officiant for the ceremony.  The wedding had a beach theme with starfish and seashells on the flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, wedding cake, and on the tables as decoration.  The cake topper was perfect for beach weddings too!  The groom on the topper was wearing khakis and a white shirt just like many of the grooms we see who are married right on the beach.  The wedding colors were light blue like the water but with pink to give the day a punch of color.

Pam and Allen were lots of fun and laughed all day!  They are really kind people who love life and each other and dad enjoyed being a part of their celebration.  Thanks Pam and Allen, and congratulations!

Leah and Andrew’s Wedding at the Lange Farm

Dad photographed Leah and Andrew’s engagement session 6 months ago and they had fun climbing onto buildings and splashing in the water.  Their wedding day was the Sunday after Thanksgiving at the Lange Farm.  This is one of dad’s most favorite locations for both the venue and the staff.  He loved being there for weddings two days in a row!  David and his wife from Trinity Wedding Video were the videographers and they are great to work with.  Leah had the wonderful Cari of Kyle Lynn for hair and makeup.  Mom loved how Leah’s hair and makeup looked!  Kathy from Northside Florist did the flowers and the always terrific Doug Decker from Grant Hemond was the DJ at the reception.

Leah and Andrew had a peacock theme for their wedding.  The shimmery greens and blues looked pretty together!  Peacock feathers lined the ceremony aisle, and guests had programs that fanned out just like a peacock’s tail feathers.  Reception centerpieces were bird cages filled with flowers and a peacock sitting on top.  It was such a unique and creative idea for a theme and the couple did an awesome job pulling it together and making it look beautiful.

Congratulations Leah and Andrew!

Leah’s dress had amazing detailing!  It was from Sarasota Brides.
