  • Jason Angelini Photography: The Blog

Thanks for checking out our updated blog! You'll notice that we have quite a few changes. The biggest is that for the first time since we started blogging the posts are not written in the voice of our young kids. It became more confusing as our family grew so we have simplified the descriptions of the weddings.

Another change is how easy it is to share the blog posts now through our "Share and Enjoy" feature! You can like a post or share a post on Facebook, Twitter, or many other sites. Also, the comment section for each post is now more noticeable and easier to use.

We have also included some general pricing info and a contact page so you can send us a message right from the blog. Of course our wedding and people websites are still there for more detailed information and to see more of our images.

For more fun links and for a personal look into our lives be sure to like our Jason Angelini Photography Facebook page! There we share ideas for your wedding planning, updates about what we're up to, and more about our family.

Thanks again for visiting our blog and we hope you like the changes!

Wedding at The Club at Treasure Island: Lauren and Justin

Lauren and Justin’s day was awesome!  They are an amazing couple and so much fun to be around, the day and details were beautiful, and Jason saw lots of familiar friendly faces from other weddings.  He had a terrific time with everyone!  Liz Smith Events and Weddings was the coordinator for the day and helped to make it special.  The wedding day started with Lauren having her hair done by Amanda of Trends Salon by Devicci.  Amanda’s own wedding took place just a few weeks later and Jason was happy to be part of that day as well!  Marissa Maniscalco was the makeup artist.   The bouquets and floral arrangements were mostly purple and white with some green.  They were put together by The Bride’s Bouquet.  At St. Paul’s Catholic Church the groom touched a sign that said, “Wed Like a Champion Today” before walking out the door of the getting ready room and starting the ceremony.  The reception was held at The Club at Treasure Island and it was a party!  Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ and the cake was done by Publix.

Lauren and Justin are fantastic together.  You can see the love and joy they share and Jason was honored to be there to celebrate the start of their lives together.  Thanks to the bride and groom and all of their wonderful family and friends.

Wedding at the Sirata: Heather and Jeff

Jason joined Heather and Jeff for their wedding at the Sirata Beach Resort.  It was a beautiful day for a beach wedding with clear blue skies as the couple exchanged their vows barefoot in the sand.  Flowers were done by DJ’s Florist and included a large orchid boutonniere that Jeff wore.  The DJ at the reception was Dan of Sword Sounds and the wedding cake was made by Chantilly Cakes.  Instead of a guest book, Heather and Jeff’s guests signed a surf board personalized with the couple’s names and wedding date.  That is going to look awesome displayed in the couple’s home!  Congratulations to the newlyweds and we hope your honeymoon cruise was a fantastic trip!

6 Month Session: Raegan and Todd’s Baby Boy

It was wonderful to see Raegan, Todd, and their kids again.  They are a terrific family!  Jason has photographed their daughter through her first year and second birthday and he’s done a family session with them as well.  Their daughter was born around the same time as our oldest daughter and then they had a son right when we had our baby as well!  Jason photographed his newborn session and now it was time for his six month session.  He had adorable smiles just like his big sister did at her six month session.  Thanks so much to Raegan and Todd for letting us being a part of your lives and we look forward to next time!

Newborn Portrait Session: Lori and Eric’s Son

After photographing Lori and Eric’s wedding and then Lori’s maternity session we were all looking forward to meeting the new baby!  Lori, Eric, and their daughter brought the newest member of their family over for a session when he was just under two weeks old.  He was a terrific baby and we didn’t believe any of the stories about him being fussy or not sleeping well because he did so great for his session!  Then again, he did show off one scary looking trait in is pictures.  We are so happy that we’ve been able to keep in touch with this awesome family!  We cannot wait to see them again and capture more milestones for Lori, Eric, and their two kids.

Wedding at Sunken Gardens: Katie and Mike

One of my favorite things about what Jason and I do is that no matter how many weddings we are a part of there is something unique about each and every one.  Katie and Mike made sure that their day was unique to the two of them and showed their personalities to everyone who attended.  The wedding was done in the style of A  Midsummer Night’s Dream so Sunken Gardens in St. Pete fit wonderfully as the venue.  Katie had her hair done at the Mane Concern Salon before getting dressed in her beautiful gown, a Pantora by Andrea Pitter on Etsy.  Mildred Maloney Flowers was the florist and the anemone flowers looked beautiful in the bouquets and corsages.  The bridesmaids all wore corsages and carried lanterns instead of bouquets.

After Katie and Mike’s first sight and some bride and groom pictures the ceremony began with a performance by the wedding party.  The wedding party also read during the toasts at the reception.  Dinner was catered by Carrabba’s and the wedding cake was from It’s Icing on the Cake.  The tables had centerpieces that were tree trunks with moss and branches and the linens were from A Linen Valley.  As the reception was ending it was raining and Katie and Mike went out for a few quick pictures in the rain.  It fit the theme of nature and romance for their wedding day!  Congratulations to the newlyweds!
