Wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate: Anuradha and Bharani’s Indian Wedding

Jason loved Anu and Bharani’s wedding!  Dancing in the streets, bright colors, beautiful decor, an awesome couple, and lots of love and laughter – what an amazing day!  The wedding was at the Powel Crosley Estate with Sarah Lansky as the day of coordinator.  Anu was a gorgeous bride!  She had her hair and makeup done by Geetaz.  Her red sari stood out brilliantly against the bridesmaids and the yellow decor at the reception.  Flowers by Fudgie was the florist and Affairs in the Air set up the lighting.  Jason had Van Tran with him as a second shooter during the ceremony to help capture all the fun events and traditions.  To keep things simple for people visiting our blog to see Jason’s pictures, we didn’t share any of Van’s images here, but Jason said it was great to work with him and we appreciate his help!

The horse for the groom’s procession (the Baraat) was from Sunshine Carriages and the priest at the ceremony was  Pandit Vishnu (813-728-7512).  It was a meaningful ceremony with traditions such as the Jaimala where the bride and groom exchange flower garlands, the Agni Pradikshina where the bride and groom’s garmets are joined together, the Mangalphera or walk around the sacred fire, and the Saptapadi where the priest guides the bride and groom to take seven steps forward in their first act as a married couple. There was history and cultural tradition in each part of the start of their lives as husband and wife.  What a wonderful foundation for their marriage!

The reception was outside in a tent from U.S. Tent Rental.  I love the deep yellow color used for linens and decor!  There were also candles and tall crystal candelabras.  Dinner was from Milan Catering with a cake made by Publix.  The music was from Dudha Productions and guests had fun in the photo booth from Shutterbooth.  Jason was honored to be part of such a beautiful day for a terrific couple.  Congratulations and thank you Anu and Bharani!

Newborn Session with Angie, Brent, Big Brother, and Baby Sister

It is such an amazing feeling to see a family grow and know that we are helping to capture such special memories for them!  Jason met Angie and Brent when their son was a newborn.  It is hard to believe that was over two years ago already!  Jason caught up with their family again not long ago for a maternity session.  Angie and Brent were expecting a baby girl!  Their daughter was just four days old when she came over for her newborn session.  Big brother was amazing with her, and it was like their baby girl had always been with them as part of their family.  They are such wonderful people and we are very happy for them!  Time is sure to go by quickly, as it always does when kids are young, and we can’t wait to see their son and daughter reach new milestones!

Engagement Session with Michelle and Jeff

Jason cannot wait for Michelle and Jeff’s wedding!  They were so much fun at their engagement session and he is looking forward to a night of celebration and laughter for their wedding day this fall.  I think they should reenact the karate kid pose in their wedding attire!  Jeff is very model-esque with his sassy posing:)!  Thanks for a terrific session Michelle and Jeff!

Wedding at Tampa Bay Watch: Holli and Brett

Holli and Brett are a gorgeous couple!  They were married at Tampa Bay Watch and Jason was happy to be there to capture memories of their day.  Holli and her girls got ready at a condo on the beach before heading over for the outdoor ceremony by the water and then the reception.  The DJ was from Grant Hemond and after the bride and groom shared a couple rounds of shots with their guests, the dance floor was packed and everyone had a great time!  Holli and Brett spent their honeymoon in Europe, visiting London, Paris, Rome, and Florence.  We are sure they made many terrific memories to go along with the wonderful memories they have of an amazing wedding day.  Thanks so much to Holli and Brett for having us share in such a special day for you!

Sarasota Portrait Session with Kristy and BJ’s Two Year Old

Kristy and BJ recently celebrated their fourth anniversary!  Jason was with them on their wedding day and now he was happy to catch up with them again four years later, but this time with their gorgeous little girl!  Jason first met their daughter for a 6 month old session.  She is now two and had a birthday session with Jason in Sarasota.  It was a terrific session and Jason said that even her serious faces were perfect!  He had a great time with everyone and got some beautiful images.  Thanks to Kristy and BJ, and we’re looking forward to the next time!
