In Just Two Days…

Dad’s second session the Sunday before last was with Allison, James, and their adorable little girl.  This family is very special to us.  Dad has photographed their wedding, maternity session, their daughter’s newborn pictures, baptism, family sessions and more, and now they are expecting their second baby.  It is a special gift to share in so many important moments in the lives of a growing family.  They have become friends of ours and we cannot be happier for them!  The day before the session was their daughter’s 3rd birthday.  Just two days after this session, they welcomed their beautiful baby boy into their family!!!  We are so excited to meet him for his newborn session very soon!  Congratulations to Allison, James, and the new big sister.  Many blessings to your amazing family!

Little did Allison know that as she looked at her belly and imagined what it would be like to meet her son, he would be there in her arms less than 48 hours later!

This is the tattoo James got of his daughter drawn from one of the pictures dad had taken of her!  How awesome is that!!

Mom LOVES this one!

Home for the Holidays

Dad photographed Kristen and Scott’s wedding in the summer of 2006.  Since the wedding, their oldest son has enlisted in the Marines and Kristen and Scott were so happy to have him home for Christmas!  They had dad come take some updated family photos.  It was great for dad to get to see them all again!  You have a terrific family and we hope you will keep in touch.  Thanks to all of you!

Cousins and a New Baby Boy!

Kendra and Brandon recently celebrated their first anniversary!  Just one week later, they welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family.  We are so happy for them!  Dad has photographed their engagement session, wedding, and Kendra’s Back in the Dress session so he was very excited to meet their son and see their family grow.  Kendra’s sister and her amazing family came for pictures as well.  They were a blast and seemed really happy and relaxed for having three young boys :) .  Dad said it was a great time.  Congratulations again to Kendra and Brandon!

Mom loved this “outtake”:

Only Kendra and Brandon’s adorable daughter could looked so gorgeous and poised on a big concrete block!

So cute!  You may have noticed that we used to have this blog post named after this image but we were getting some crazy search terms so we changed it.

‘Tis the Season

We had an awesome time at our Christmas party last weekend!  Thank you so much to everyone who came.  When we invited everyone in a blog post, we said it was our way to celebrate with all of you since you include us in the celebrations in your lives.  We are grateful to all of you who allow us to capture your special moments and share in your memories.  It is a blessing for us to be able to work doing what we love, and in the process we meet many incredible people and make some wonderful friends.  In the spirit of the season, we want to say thank all of you and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

We also want to thank Stacy of Meant to Be Wed for doing such an awesome job helping us put everything together, and Catering by the Family who served yummy food and were terrific to work with.

Our guest of honor at the party was none other than Santa himself!!  He was there for pictures with the kids, and for the adults too :) .  Santa’s elves were at the party too and had an activity table for kids to make a Santa’s workshop scene, choo choo trains, ornaments, and other Christmas crafts.

Big brother showing off his creation of Santa’s workshop:

Little brother was not that excited to see Santa.  He wouldn’t sit on his lap but with coaxing he was okay to stand near him briefly.  We thought he might cry but he was just nervous.

Stacy and her beautiful family:

Some of the kids were so excited to meet Santa!

But mom’s favorite pictures are those were only some of the kids were excited and some were…not so much:

Megan showing that you are never too old to sit on Santa’s lap!

As the party ended, little brother slowly walked back over to Santa’s chair.  After being so nervous earlier in the day we were interested to see what he was going to do.  Dad asked him if he wanted to sit on Santa’s lap and little brother slowly nodded.  He was hesitant, but soon sat on his lap, asked Santa to bring him “toys” for Christmas, and then even smiled for his picture!

You can see more Santa pictures in the album on our Facebook Page.  Just look for Jason Angelini Photography’s Fan page.

Santa of course is a celebrity!  Some of the kids were star struck to see the man that had the magic of Christmas walking around the party.

Big brother followed Santa around the room every where.  He would come to mom and excitedly tell her everything that Santa was doing.  When Santa sat down to eat, big brother couldn’t let him sit alone.  He brought over the Santa he made out of stickers and tried to act cool despite his excitement as he casually chatted with the man himself!

We also had the talented Kathryn Flocken of Silhouettes by Kathryn there creating hand-cut silhouettes.  Everyone loved it!  We are going to frame all of our family’s silhouettes together.

Chelsea posing for her silhouette:

Jessica and Del looking at their silhouettes:

Del’s silhouette:

One of dad’s favorite silhouettes was David’s.  The hat and facial hair looked so cool!

Of course Santa’s silhouette rocked too!

The other hit of the party was the entertainment.  There were live carolers singing traditional Christmas songs.  They were absolutely amazing!  Sean thought they were good enough to text about.

Besides the yummy dinner and desserts from Catering by the Family, mom also had a hot chocolate bar set up.  Most people enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate, but a few people thought a lid full of toppings was better.  Marshmallows and chocolate chips make a great treat!

Kids help make Christmas special with the innocence and wonder they bring to the holiday.

Our family wants to send all of you happiness, love, and blessings this holiday season.  We hope you are surrounded by friends and family and looking forward to a great year ahead!

The Santa Throne

We love this family!  Weslie and Jeremy brought their daughter and their new son over the day before Thanksgiving for their family pictures.  We first met them for their daughter’s newborn session and as we photographed her first year we became good friends with them.  It is always fun when they come to Florida to visit and we can have play dates!  We hope they are back in town again soon!

Another Year with an Amazing Family

We are so happy that we have become friends with Andrea, Eric, and their family.  We love our play dates!  It has been about 3 years since we first met their family for their now middle child’s newborn session.  The Sunday before last their family came over for a few quick family pictures before their son headed out with dad for his SEVENTH birthday portrait session!  We cannot believe he is 7 now!  Mom thought it was funny that when Andrea saw a sneak peek she said, “When did I get this old?”  He is definitely growing up and it is wonderful for us to be able to capture that in pictures.  Last year his session was at the beach, but this year dad took him to Ybor City for pictures.  We can’t wait to see them again!

Dad told him to look like he just got into some trouble.  He instead looks defiant.  We think that is an excellent expression to have after you get in trouble!

Be Careful What You Wish For

Mom Blogging:

For a couple days now, Jason has been bugging me to put more pictures on the blog.  So this one is for Jason (Love you baby!):

Don’t worry, I promise he won’t show up like this to anyone’s wedding!  He finished shaving after he took the picture.

And just because she is so cute (and everyone can use a dose of cute after that last picture!), here’s one of our baby as well:

Sisters

Last October dad photographed the wedding of Mitzi and Lenny.  Dad was excited to hear from Mitzi again when she emailed about a session for her and her two sisters.  One of her sisters was in town from Hawaii so they wanted pictures together.  Though dad would have been happy to go to Hawaii for the session, he met up with them at the University of Tampa on Wednesday morning.  It was a great time and the sisters kept dad smiling with all their silly faces and poses.  Dad says thanks for a fun morning!

Family Session at the Park

Back in November dad met a wonderful couple and their two week old daughter when he photographed their newborn session.  He was so happy when they got in touch with them again for a family session and could not wait to see how much their little girl had grown.  He met up with them on Sunday at a park near their house.  Dad thought it was great that the family planned a fun day around the session with a cook out together afterward.  Thanks for a fun evening and we hope we get to see your adorable little girl again soon!

Last Sessions of 2008

Dad spent Monday at the beach photographing a family session and then an engagement session.  Both people live out of the country which dad thought was awesome.  Dad was surprised at how many people were in the water at the beach!  With it being a holiday week there were lots of people out enjoying the Florida weather.

That morning, dad met Katie and her family.  They were all in Florida for a visit and dad met them at Sand Key Park for a session.  One of the best parts of the holidays is having people who live so far from each other come together, and dad is happy when families have him capture that.

Dad got to see Katie, her husband, and her daughter again the morning of New Year’s Eve!  They came over for a smaller family studio session.  Their little girl was so happy and made the cutest faces!
