One Year Old Birthday Session: Smash the Cupcake

Kelly brought her two boys over for a first birthday session for her youngest.  They are both so cute!  We got to sneak downstairs at the end of the session and meet them and they were lots of fun.  Mom loves the pictures showing the interaction between the two brothers (those are some of her favorites from our own little brother’s first birthday session too!)  Kelly’s youngest had fun with his balloons.  H liked squashing and stomping his cupcake more than smashing it, and then when he was done his big brother came in for a taste too.  Happy first birthday!

Red and White and Blue…and Pink

Raegan and Todd’s daughter was born just one week after our little sister.  It is so fun watching them reach milestones at the same time.  Their little girl’s smash the cake session was a month ago now and we can’t believe that we haven’t blogged it yet!  Which of course reminds us that we still haven’t blogged little sister’s smash the cake session either.  We have a lot of blogging to do!

The session had Fourth of July boas and colorful tutus and birthday girl shirts and of course an awesome cake smashing mess. We are so happy to be able to photograph such a sweet girl and a wonderful family!

The Twins Turn One

We have seen Krystal and Matt go from a happy, fun couple to a happy couple with a fun family!  Dad has photographed their wedding, maternity session, baby session, and now their twin girls have turned one!  Their baby session ended up like this…

…so dad was really excited for them to smash their first birthday cake.  One of their daughters was a bit more adventurous with the cake than the other, but Matt made sure they both got equally messy.  Thanks so much for having us as a part of your lives Krystal, Matt, and your girls!  We can’t wait for your next session; it is always a great time!

Mom thinks this one is so great!  Life with twins… :)

On His First Birthday

Dad had been looking forward to a session with Portia and Aundre’s son for a long time.  He was so excited to photograph their son on his first birthday!  He played with some toys, tasted a bit of cake, and showed how much changes in just a year when he sat next to the belly cast of his mom’s pregnant belly.  We hope you had a fun first birthday!

Fistfuls of Frosting

The day before her son’s birthday, Sophie had dad come over to photograph her little boy’s first birthday session.  He showed dad around his play room, played peek-a-boo through his tunnels, and then showed dad how he liked to eat the fake fruit and sneak tupperware out of the kitchen cabinets that he can reach!  Dad said it was so cute to watch him explore his house.  Then his mom brought out the cake and the fun really got started!  Happy first birthday!
