Wedding at Mixon’s in the Grove: Nicole and Greg

Congratulations to Nicole and Greg!  Jason was happy to join them on their wedding day.  With Florida being famous for its oranges, Mixon’s in the Grove at Mixon’s Fruit Farms is a perfect venue for a Florida wedding!  Nicole and Greg had a beautiful wedding at Mixon’s with the help of their wedding team, The Perfect Settings, J. Michael Weddings, Fabiola from Ana Molinari Salon, and Cakes by Ron.

The ceremony was at the gazebo with the Koi Pond as the backdrop.  Nicole’s maid of honor was the officiant, and the couple had a butterfly release during the ceremony.  Nicole also had an iridescent butterfly as part of the decoration in her bouquet flowers.

The rustic reception decor was gorgeous.  I love the look of burlap and lace together, and it was used around the floral centerpieces and at the top of the personalized wine bottles.  Thank you tags were attached to jars of strawberry jam made with berries from Plant City.  The tables were numbered on small chalkboards and candles and lanterns were also used as part of the centerpiece arrangements.

Guests were asked to sign small wooden hearts and put them into a memory frame.  Wooden signs, twine wrapped bottles, and homemade shea butter soap were more of the beautiful rustic details used to create the look of the wedding.  But the day was not just gorgeous but lots of fun too!  Personalized sunglasses and a photo booth kept guests entertained when they weren’t dancing, and there were ribbon wands to wave around too.  The bar had a signature drink for both the groom and the bride along with a quote from Blake Shelton’s song Honey Bee, “You’ll be my glass of wine, I’ll be your shot of whiskey.”

Everything came together wonderfully for Nicole and Greg and it was an amazing wedding!  The couple left the orange grove for a honeymoon in vineyards.  We hope Napa Valley was terrific!  Thanks to Nicole and Greg for having Jason capture your day!
