Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Mallory and Joe

Mallory and Joe came from Ohio to be married on the beach at the wonderful Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort.  As the day began the storm clouds did not look promising for the bright and sunny beach day they were hoping for.  They decided to go ahead with an outdoor ceremony despite the weather and it paid off!  Not only did the clouds clear but as the couple stood holding hands and making promises to each other a beautiful rainbow filled the sky.  Soon after it became a double rainbow and though I can’t look at one without thinking of that stupid YouTube video it was a beautiful background for the ceremony.

Mallory had Destiny & Light Hair and Makeup Artist with her that morning as she got ready.  Bridesmaids carried bouquets of orange orchids and the bride’s bouquet had pink roses mixed in as well.  The flowers were from Carter’s Florist.  The DJ at the reception was Jeff Staples Group and Mallory and Joe had some fun making a mess with their wedding cake from A Piece of Cake.

We are happy that Mallory and Joe were able to have the beach wedding they wanted without the rain.  It was a fun day!  All the best to the newlyweds in their lives as husband and wife!

Wedding at the A La Carte Pavilion: Kim and Keith

Jason photographed Kim and Keith’s engagement session the month before their wedding and he was happy to see them again on the big day.  The wedding was held at the A La Carte Event Pavilion and Ashley there also did the flowers.  Kim and Keith had Chad Whelan as their videographer and Jason always has a fun time working with him.  The Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group was there for Kim’s hair and Lindsey McCall did Kim’s makeup.  At the reception Curtis of Inpulse Entertainment was the DJ and the cake was from Publix.

All the detailing on Kim’s gown was stunning and Kim wore it beautifully.  It was wonderful for Jason to be able to capture the emotion both Kim and Keith felt that day.  There was a perfect balance of tears and laughter.  Jason was also happy to see Courtney and Adam at the wedding too!  Congratulations to newlyweds Kim and Keith and all the best to them both as they start the journey of a long and happy marriage!

Miranda’s Back in the Dress Session at Fort Desoto

The day after their wedding, Miranda and Dan met up with Jason at Fort Desoto for a Back in the Dress session.  They had a great time splashing around in the water and enjoying a beautiful day at the beach.  Congratulations again to the newlyweds!  Thanks so much for having Jason there to capture these fun memories for you!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Miranda and Dan

Miranda and Dan came from Canada to have their wedding on one of Florida’s beautiful beaches.  Their ceremony and reception were held at the fabulous Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort.  Flowers were done by Marsha Marie Floral and at the reception the DJ was from Grant Hemond.

The couple had their close family and friends there to share their day and celebrate.  Jason said the couple’s families were all terrific people and the bride and groom were so happy and wore the biggest smiles all day!  Jason was able to spend the day after the wedding with Miranda and Dan again for a Trash the Dress session.  Pictures of that are coming up next on the blog!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Madeline and Stephen

Jason photographed Madeline and Stephen’s engagement session and he joined them again for their wedding at the always terrific Grand Plaza Beach Resort.  Madeline got her hair and makeup done by Karen of Karen’s Hair and Makeup Artistry.  They were married on the beach with Tom of Weddings on a Whim as the officiant.  The reception music was from Dunning Shaw of Vocals Unlimited and the Sheperds Pie Band.

As the flower girl came down the aisle, she dropped sea shells instead of rose petals.  It was so cute when the ring bearer turned around to pick up the dropped shells and tried to return them to the flower girl’s basket!  What kid doesn’t love collecting shells on the beach?  The couple had fans and personalized water bottles for their guests at the ceremony and at the reception there were personalized koozies at each place setting.  Everyone had fun on the dance floor and the day was a wonderful celebration of the start of Madeline and Stephen’s life together.  Congratulations newlyweds!
