Wedding at the Hilton Cocoa Beach: Colleen and Brooks

Colleen and Brooks had a beautiful engagement session with dad in the fall and he knew they were both going to have a wonderful wedding.  They were married at the Hilton Cocoa Beach in a beach ceremony with an outdoor reception on the deck.  The wedding colors were light blue and white and Colleen’s gown had light blue across the top and down the train.  The bridesmaids also wore pretty light blue dresses and the groomsmen wore blue shirts.  Abracadabra Flowers was the florist and at the ceremony there were tin pails at the end of the aisles with white and blue flowers inside.  Both the ceremony and the reception were decorated with a beach theme including sea shells and star fish.  DJ Shane of DJ Shane Entertainment had the bride and groom showing off some fun dance moves at the reception!  Colleen and Brooks made sure to enjoy their day and it didn’t even seem to phase them when the sprinklers went off at their reception!  Some quick thinking guests covered the sprinkler heads with pails and got the patio umbrellas to keep the cake dry.  When the sprinklers were off again, the bride and groom went right back to partying with their family and friends and enjoying their celebration.  They are a terrific couple!

Thanks to Colleen and Brooks for having dad there to share your wedding day with you!  Congratulations newlyweds!

Honeymoon Island and Dunedin Engagement Session: Taryn and Chris

Taryn and Chris met dad at Honeymoon Island for their engagement session.  They took pictures in the greenery of the grass and trees and even saw a cute little bunny.  Taryn and Chris then went to the beach and waded in the water which dad said felt wonderful.  He wished he could have gone swimming!  The session ended in downtown Dunedin just after the sun set.  Dad said Taryn and Chris were great!  Their wedding is almost a year away but dad is excited to see them get married.  Thanks for a terrific session Taryn and Chris!

Session at Fort Desoto: Nichole is Back in the Dress

Nichole and Rizal have to hurry and start trying for babies because dad is going to miss them if they don’t have a reason to have another session soon!  Dad has photographed their engagement session, Nichole’s gorgeous bridal portraits, and their beach wedding.  He met them at Fort Desoto last week for their Back in the Dress session.  These are sometimes called Trash the Dress sessions but out of them that dad has photographed the only session that actual trashed their dress so that it couldn’t be later cleaned and preserved was from a paintball session!

The newlyweds brought their two dogs with them for some pictures.  We are animal lovers and it was fun for dad to get some pictures of their dogs playing at the beach too.  The session ended with the couple splashing around in the water having fun and enjoying their time together.  Those pictures are some of mom’s favorites because their smiles really show what newlywed bliss looks like.  We hope they have those same genuine happy smiles for each other throughout their marriage!

We loved sharing in Nichole and Rizal’s memories.  They are a terrific couple and dad enjoyed all the time he spent with them.  Nichole and Rizal, we will be waiting patiently to photograph the maternity session!

Wedding at the Island Way Grill: Tanya and Dru

Tanya and Dru were married on April Fool’s Day, but instead of thinking of the practical jokes and pranks that some do on that day they chose it to honor Tanya’s grandparents who were also married on April 1st.  The wedding was held at the Island Way Grill which dad says always has yummy food.  Tanya started her wedding day at Salon West Hair Studio and Spa where she had her hair done.  The wedding had lots of bright colors with the main color being bright pink which the maid of honor wore.  Tanya also wore a bright pink flower in her hair.  Thai-Rific Orchids was the florist and put together a beautiful ceremony arch with flowers and palms which was also used for the cake display at the reception.  The couple had Brian Spotts as a guitarist to play music at the reception.  Cakes by Carolynn made the wedding cake which was then decorated with pink and green orchids.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!  We hope you had a great honeymoon in the Bahamas!

Lido Beach Wedding: Marisa and Sean

Marisa and Sean celebrated their wedding day with a beach ceremony on Lido Beach and a reception at a private residence.  Marisa had her hair and makeup done at Les Ciseaux salon in Sarasota.  We wish we were better at knowing the names of flowers because Marisa’s bouquet from Beneva Flowers was so pretty!  It was a striking mixture of roses, lilies, and orchids (we think!)  The reception was catered by Sonny’s Bar-B-Q with the wedding cake from Cakes by Ron.  Dad said Marisa and Sean were laid back and lots of fun.  Sean had a custom made suit and mom loved that the couple’s wedding date was embroidered into the collar.

Thanks to Marisa and Sean for having dad share your day with you!  It was a beautiful wedding with lots of love and celebration!
