Big Brother Welcomes His Little Sister

Tiffany brought over her two wonderful kids to celebrate the arrival of little sister. She is such a cute and happy baby, and she cooperated really well by taking a good nap during the session. Big brother was super sweet and gave her kisses, hugs, and even a lick on top of her sleeping head. We are so happy for your growing family.

Here is big brother when dad photographed his newborn session 2 years ago:

So much changes in just two short years:

And now introducing little sister!

Samantha and Kevin’s One Year Old

Dad first met Samantha and Kevin’s daughter when she was just one month old:

Her mom and dad brought her over to see dad again for her one year session! She is still as happy and expressive as she was when dad first met her.  Dad had fun playing ball and blowing bubbles and checking out all her cute accessories.  Hope your first year was a great one!

Starting Kindergarten!

Mom Blogging:

I am in shock.  Absolute disbelief.  Today we dropped our son off for his first day of kindergarten!  We are so excited for him and we know he is going to do GREAT, but wow, how is he old enough to be away from us for almost a full work day five days a week!!  When I was younger my grandma would always tell me that time goes by so fast and I need to take in every moment.  My mom told me to enjoy each age for what it was and never rush growing up.  It made sense, but none of it really sunk in until after I had kids.

My little boy is such a blessing!  He is incredibly smart, kind, and fun…he is going to have a fantastic year!  Now I just have to stop crying about him growing up so fast. ;)

Here I am giving my son a kiss just after he was born:

And here I am today giving him a big hug as I leave him in his kindergarten class.  It does not feel like this much time has passed!

Wedding at Hollis Gardens and the Magnolia Building: Heather and Dennis

Heather and Dennis had a summer garden wedding in Lakeland.  Their friends and family gathered to celebrate as the couple was married at the Hollis Garden and had their reception at the nearby Magnolia Building The team of vendors included Creative Flower Designs by Glenn, DJ Joey Jam, Cupcake Alley, and Affordable Catering.

The bride was beautiful in her gown covered in beading and sheer shrug with lace accents.  The bridesmaids wore long purple silk gowns in a variety of styles and the guys wore khaki pants with blue button up shirts.  The color pink was brought in through the bridesmaids’ fans and the flowers.  The variety of the pink, purple, and blue pastels created a soft summery look for the wedding day.  Mom is always a fan of pearls at a wedding and at the reception the couple had pearls filling the bottom of vases holding flowery branches.

Congratulations to the bride and groom, and best of luck in your new lives together!

Wedding at Sacred Heart and the Marriott Waterside: Hillery and Michael

Dad met Hillery and Michael one year ago this month when he photographed their beautiful engagement session at the beach.  Their wedding was last month and it was a gorgeous event!  Zoe Gallina Event Styling and Coordination was the couple’s wedding planner and Zoe did an amazing job helping the bride and groom with all the details.  Cara from Hearts Video was there as the videographer and dad was happy to work with her again.  The wedding ceremony was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the reception was at the Tampa Marriott Waterside.

Hillery looked absolutely beautiful and timeless.  She had her hair done by Gina from Styles and Company Hair Salon and Colours by Linny did her makeup.  The classic look of the wedding was also created by the white bouquets and centerpieces.  Ian from Botanica International Design Studio did a wonderful job creating white floral arrangements with green leaves and vines.  The reception was decorated with white linens and silver place settings.  The white silk chair covers were gathered into a pretty knot in the back.  Each place setting had a personalized bottle of champagne for guests, and the champagne flutes with strawberries were there for guests who wanted to open their favors right away.  There were also plates of cookies on the tables for guests.  Mom and dad also had Italian cookies from New York brought in for their own wedding!

Olympia Bakery made a cake that fit the wedding’s look perfectly.  The all white cake was decorated with swirls and had the letters of the couple’s last name on the top tier.  It was very tall with four tiers and a floral cake topper!  The DJ was Doug Decker from Grant Hemond.  He is always terrific and dad enjoys working with him.

Hillery and Michael had a first sight before their ceremony and did some bride and groom pictures then.  Dad said it was funny to see Sci Fi characters walking around the hotel for some convention that was there the same day.  Dad stopped one of the people and had them pose with the bride’s flowers.  Mom absolutely loves the picture, and that the character’s green designs on her costume matched the greenery of the bouquet!

Congratulations Hillery and Michael!  We hope Aruba was a great time!!  And thanks to all the vendors who helped put together such a beautiful day.
