Stephanie and Nick’s Wedding at Casa Feliz

It is wonderful to share in special events within the same family.  Dad photographed Liz and Wes’s wedding back in May and was happy to see them both again at their relative’s wedding.

Stephanie and Nick had a gorgeous wedding at Casa Feliz, a historical home in Winter Park with beautiful Spanish architecture.  The bricks, courtyard, and refurbished interior create a terrific backdrop for a wedding.  Heather Boterf was the wedding coordinator and the couple’s other vendors included Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Artist Group, Alisha of Tagas Event and Production Company as the videographer, Jonathan’s Flowers, Reverend Glynn Ferguson of Sensational Ceremonies as the officiant, Asher from A-List DJ Entertainment as the DJ, Arthur’s Catering, and a cake by It’s Tasty Too.

The reds and browns used as the wedding colors looked fantastic with the brick and wood of the historic house.  Mom loved the Here Comes the Bride sign carried by some of the flower girls.  The cupcake tower featured cupcakes each marked with the initial of the couple’s new last name.  All the details came together so well and created a terrific day.  Congratulations Stephanie and Nick!  Hope Costa Rica was a blast!

Marisol and Neil’s Wedding at Mixon’s in the Grove

Mixon Fruit Farm in Bradenton is a fun place.  Dad takes us there to do the tour and see the rescued animals.  We love the big tortoise!  At the farm they have Mixon’s in the Grove for weddings.  It is an historic citrus grove which is wonderful as a background for a Florida wedding.  Dad photographed Samantha and Jason’s wedding there and we LOVE that Samantha’s picture is on the front cover of the Mixon’s in the Grove wedding catalog!

There are a few more of dad’s images in the catalog so be sure to look through it.  It is a terrific venue and dad was excited to be there again a few weeks ago for Marisol and Neil’s wedding.  They say it is good luck to have it rain on your wedding day so Marisol and Neil are going to have a great life together!  The rain moved the ceremony into the pavilion and the reception continued there.  Dad’s favorite part of the reception were the hand painted candies.  They were gorgeous!!  The candies were made by Divinia Jeanne’s Chocolate Heaven (941-366-5888).  Congratulations Marisol and Neal!

The hand painted candies were in a variety of colors, all absolutely beautiful!

Merry Christmas!

Have a very merry Christmas filled with the love of family and friends…

…and lots of fun!

Glory to the newborn King!  He is born!

Angela and Charlie at the Grand Plaza

It has been a couple weeks since Angela and Charlie’s wedding but we are still working on catching up on the blog.  What a blessing to be so busy that we have lots and lots to blog about!

Angela and Charlie were married at the wonderful Grand Plaza on St. Pete Beach.  Dad says Kristi, the coordinator for the Grand Plaza, is wonderful.  Reverend Tom Greene was the officiant and he always does a good job as well.

Angela was a gorgeous bride and mom loved her gown!  It looked terrific on her.  Angela and Charlie’s friends and family were so happy to be there to celebrate their day.  The ceremony was an emotional one with many tears of joy, and then the reception was a big party!  Thank you for having dad there to witness your love and the beginning of your lives together.  Congratulations newlyweds!

One of mom’s favorites from the day:

This was dad’s first wedding after switching to Nikon and he thought it was funny to see many wedding guests who were Nikon users as well.  And of course the lone, sad Canon user:).

Samantha and Tom’s 1st Anniversary

Samantha and Tom received the best first anniversary present this year.  Tom came home from military leave!  He is back for the holidays before deploying to the Middle East in the beginning of January.  Tom, thank you for your service, and thanks to both of you for the sacrifices you have to make for all of us.

Samantha set up an anniversary session for the two of them while Tom was home so he will have some pictures to bring with him overseas.  Dad had photographed their engagement session and of course their beautiful wedding in Orlando so it was wonderful for him to be part of their first anniversary celebration as well.  We hope the pictures help Tom feel the love of home when he looks at them.  Thanks Samantha and Tom, and Happy First Anniversary!
