Gotta Share Videos…

Mom Blogging:

Browsing through wedding blogs and talking with other vendors in the wedding industry on Twitter, I come across links for wedding videos that I love and just have to share.  Jason sent me a link to a wedding music video by Lockdown Projects, an awesome company in the UK that Jason also likes because they are big in the snowboard industry.  I think this is just the coolest idea ever, and what a perfect song choice too!  You have to watch this!

I found the next video on Twitter when BrideTide gave the link from the Bride Tide Blog.  I am a big sap, but it made me teary-eyed seeing what wonderful friends the couple had.  I want to know what church let the wedding party do this!  Most churches out here have lots of rules about the ceremony.  Who has a fun wedding party?  It would be so cool for someone to do something like this for the reception entrance!

Finally AMC Video, a wonderful videography company that Jason has worked with in the Naples/Fort Myers area, had a clip of a funny and unique toast to a bride and groom on their blog.

Hope those give all of you a good laugh, and maybe a couple ideas for planning something fun and unique for your own weddings!

Hannah and Matt’s Lakeland Engagement Session

Last Sunday afternoon dad went to Lakeland for Hannah and Matt’s engagement session.  They will be getting married in January, the day before the couple whose engagement session dad photographed that morning!  After some pictures by the lake and gardens, dad, Hannah, and Matt went to a downtown area to get more variety.  Thanks to Hannah and Matt for spending the afternoon with dad.  See you in January!

Michelle and Zach’s Ybor City Engagement Session

Last Sunday, dad met Michelle and Zach in Ybor City for their engagement session.  They started the session early in the morning to try to avoid some of the Florida summer midday heat.  It still got hot out pretty quickly but Michelle and Zach were great about it and didn’t let it bother them.  Their wedding is coming up in January.  See you two again then!

Monica and Michael’s Naples Wedding

On Saturday dad was in Naples for the wedding of Monica and Michael.  They had booked with us a year ago and dad had talked to the bride’s mom, the bride, and the groom during the planning for  the big day.  Everyone had been great so dad knew the day was going to be wonderful.

Kelly with No Worries Weddings and Event Management was the couple’s wedding planner and was terrific with keeping things organized and stress-free for the couple.  The ceremony took place at the Naples United Church of Christ which had gorgeous chandeliers as well as a pipe organ.  The reception was at Vineyards Country Club and dad said it was beautiful as well.  It was dad’s second weekend in a row working with Ian of Movie Magic Productions and dad enjoyed seeing him again.  The florist was Botanicals on the Gulf and the reception had linens from Connie DuglinKakes by Karen made the cake which had pretty bows and flowers to decorate it.  The reception music was from Fifth Avenue Music.  Dad said they were a fantastic band and the guests all enjoyed the live music as well.

Monica and Michael are such an awesome couple.  Dad couldn’t stop talking about how incredibly nice they both were!  We are so happy for them and wish them happiness and love throughout their marriage.  Thanks to you both and have fun in Mexico!  Be sure to stay in touch!

Valencia and Rhoan at the Palmetto Club

Valencia and Rhoan met in the 10th grade and finally celebrated their wedding day on Friday.  In their ceremony programs they used the quote, “True love comes quietly, without banners or flashing lights.”  Mom thought that was a great love quote.

Their wedding was held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon with their reception following at the Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch.  Dad had fun working with Chad Whelan again.  He was the videographer for the event.  The reception featured food by the Jerk Hut (including curried goat!) with tables decorated in gorgeous linens rented from Connie Duglin.  The wedding incorporated Jamaican wedding traditions and had butterflies as decoration throughout the reception details.

Congratulations Valencia and Rhoan!  Dad says he knows you will have a long and happy marriage and he was grateful to be there at the start of it.
