Sisters

Last October dad photographed the wedding of Mitzi and Lenny.  Dad was excited to hear from Mitzi again when she emailed about a session for her and her two sisters.  One of her sisters was in town from Hawaii so they wanted pictures together.  Though dad would have been happy to go to Hawaii for the session, he met up with them at the University of Tampa on Wednesday morning.  It was a great time and the sisters kept dad smiling with all their silly faces and poses.  Dad says thanks for a fun morning!

Sarah and Kyle at the Grand Plaza

Dad spent Tuesday with an awesome couple.  He is helping us blog about Sarah and Kyle’s wedding at the beautiful Grand Plaza.  This was a destination wedding for the couple and their guests and the weather cooperated to give them a nice breeze which helped cool things off.  Both Sarah and Kyle are art teachers and and told dad that they trusted his art so they were up for whatever he suggested.  Dad loves to hear that!  Sarah’s dress was absolutely perfect for a beach wedding.  It was fitted yet flowing at the same time, and had a beautiful back.  It was a fun and romantic day as most intimate weddings are and dad loved being a part of it.  Thanks so much Sarah and Kyle!

Tanya and Daniel at Countryside Country Club

Dad is helping us blog about the super fun wedding he photographed on Saturday.  He spent the day with Tanya and Dan  at the Countryside Country Club.  Dad had photographed the wedding of their friends Ian and Chrissy who were both in the bridal party.  It was great to see them again!  Their two year anniversary is coming up this year!

Before the ceremony dad had some fun with the dress and rings and even caught Tanya and Dan’s son passed out before the day really started. Though there was no rain the ceremony site did see a bit of unexpected precipitation but was quickly taken care of by the wedding coordinator and everything was fine before any of the guests arrived.

Dad thought it was wonderful that Tanya and Dan gave their son an important part in the ceremony as he walked down the aisle with Dan. Rob from Grant Hemond was the DJ for the reception and had the guests dancing and having such a great time that the couple even extended the party!  Of course the ice luge may of helped a bit as well.  Dan rocked the karoke with a song to Tanya.  Another fun reception moment was the family tradition of attaching a real ball and chain to the groom. It looked like Dan was dragging a bowling ball on his ankle and the ball was locked with pad lock that only Tanya could remove with her key. Luckily Tanya did unlock him.  The yummy cake was made by Chef Nelson and the flowers were arranged by DD’s Blooms. Dad said he had a blast and was happy to be a part of such a terrific day. Congratulations newlyweds!!

Kristen and Chris’s Ybor Engagement Session

Friday dad met up with Kristen and Chris for their engagement session in Ybor City.  They were lots of fun and kept up their good spirits even when it started raining.  Dad had them running from location to location to get pictures under some covered areas until the rain finally stopped.  Kristen and Chris kept laughing through it all!  Mom loved how silly they were in the coffee shop window and in front of the graffiti wall.  Their wedding is in March and is sure to be a blast!

Silvett and Horton’s Ybor City Engagement Session

After flying into Florida from New York City late the night before, Silvett and Horton met dad in Ybor City early Friday morning for their engagement session.  They had tried to do the session when dad was in NYC a couple months ago, but delayed flights and weather kept that from happening.  It was looking like rain might be a factor again but there was only a little drizzle at the end.  Silvett and Horton are really kind and friendly people and dad was happy he was able to photograph their session.  We are looking forward to the wedding in October!

Lauren and Ryan at St. Mary Our Lady of Grace and Mirror Lake Lyceum

Dad’s helping us blog about his wedding last Saturday.  Lauren and Ryan were married at St. Mary Our Lady of Grace followed by a fun reception at the Mirror Lake Lyceum.  It was great seeing them again after photographing their engagement session last fall!  Dad started the day with Lauren and her bridesmaids at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in St. Pete. Darla Stafford and Julie Robbins were there to add to the beauty of all the ladies and did an awesome job as usual.  Shawna from Flawless Occasions coordinated the day and everything ran smoothly. Ian from Movie Magic Productions was there as the videographer and was also a pleasure to work with.

After getting ready everyone headed over to the church for the couple’s Nuptial Mass.  Then they did some quick pictures before the party started at the reception! Sherri from Olympia Catering provided the yummy food for all the guests to enjoy and Rob Sword from Sword Sounds got the crowd moving as always.

Lauren and Ryan are so awesome and have a terrific future ahead of them.  Congratulations!

Angelia and Nathan’s Tampa Engagement Session

Dad is helping us out with blogging again!  He wanted to help us share some pictures from Friday, when he spent the evening with Angelia and Nathan. They were a great couple and it was wonderful exploring the University of Tampa and downtown Tampa. They were up for so many great ideas like climbing the heights of the university, playing on the tracks, and hanging out with a few skaters.  They are getting married in November and dad is so happy to a part of their wedding. Enjoy the images!!

Twin Girls

Krystal and Matt are an amazing couple.  Every time dad is around them, their laughter is contagious.  They are always so much fun!  Dad photographed Krystal and Matt’s wedding and maternity session and he was super excited to finally meet their twin girls on Sunday!  They were three months old and already lifting their heads up like champs.  Despite a bit of rain and a bit of spit up, the session was wonderful.  They have so much love in their family and it is wonderful for dad to be able to share in that.  Thanks so much Krystal and Matt, and we cannot wait until the next session with your awesome family!

Gifts for Little Sister

Mom Blogging:

Stephanie asked me on Twitter what gifts the boys were getting for their new baby sister.  I started to get a picture or two ready to share with her back on Twitter but there were too many cute ones and I decided to do a blog update.  Way to distract me from editing weddings Stephanie!!!

Yesterday Jason and I took the boys to Build a Bear Workshop to make bears for their sister.  We brought our oldest when he first became a big brother and have made it a family tradition for when a new baby comes.  It is a special day and we won’t let our kids go there any other time so it is even more special when they do it as a gift for a new little sibling!  After waiting a couple hours for the crowds of class trips that were there to clear out, we finally got the boys started on their bears.  They each picked their own, recorded a message to their sister to go inside the bear, kissed the heart and stuffed the bear, bathed the bears, and then chose outfits before naming the bears and making the birth certificates.  They did such a great job and their little sister is going to love her bears!

All taken on our point and shoot, mostly by me…

Regina & Michael at Nativity and Buckhorn Springs

In attempt to help mom a bit, dad is assisting us with the blog…thanks dad you rock!!

On Saturday dad got to spend the day with Regina and Mike. He photographed their very windy engagement session a few months back and knew he would have a great day with them. Dad met Regina at her parents’ house where she got ready with her bridesmaids and flower girls. The house was full of happiness and laughter and the flower girls were so cute and expressive. After the limo arrived everyone headed over to Nativity Catholic Church for the ceremony. Dad loves photographing there since it very beautiful and full of wonderful light. After the ceremony they went to Buckhorn Springs Golf and County Club for the reception where they did bridal party and bride and groom photos. The golf course is really pretty and the clouds  after sunset looked amazing! Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ and had the crowd on the floor the entire night. It is always great working with him! The flowers were by Bloomingdale Florist and the yummy cake was created by Sweetie’s Delights.

We are so happy for the two of you. Have an awesome time in Jamaica!! Enjoy the teasers :-)
