Sisters

Last October dad photographed the wedding of Mitzi and Lenny.  Dad was excited to hear from Mitzi again when she emailed about a session for her and her two sisters.  One of her sisters was in town from Hawaii so they wanted pictures together.  Though dad would have been happy to go to Hawaii for the session, he met up with them at the University of Tampa on Wednesday morning.  It was a great time and the sisters kept dad smiling with all their silly faces and poses.  Dad says thanks for a fun morning!

Sarah and Kyle at the Grand Plaza

Dad spent Tuesday with an awesome couple.  He is helping us blog about Sarah and Kyle’s wedding at the beautiful Grand Plaza.  This was a destination wedding for the couple and their guests and the weather cooperated to give them a nice breeze which helped cool things off.  Both Sarah and Kyle are art teachers and and told dad that they trusted his art so they were up for whatever he suggested.  Dad loves to hear that!  Sarah’s dress was absolutely perfect for a beach wedding.  It was fitted yet flowing at the same time, and had a beautiful back.  It was a fun and romantic day as most intimate weddings are and dad loved being a part of it.  Thanks so much Sarah and Kyle!

Tanya and Daniel at Countryside Country Club

Dad is helping us blog about the super fun wedding he photographed on Saturday.  He spent the day with Tanya and Dan  at the Countryside Country Club.  Dad had photographed the wedding of their friends Ian and Chrissy who were both in the bridal party.  It was great to see them again!  Their two year anniversary is coming up this year!

Before the ceremony dad had some fun with the dress and rings and even caught Tanya and Dan’s son passed out before the day really started. Though there was no rain the ceremony site did see a bit of unexpected precipitation but was quickly taken care of by the wedding coordinator and everything was fine before any of the guests arrived.

Dad thought it was wonderful that Tanya and Dan gave their son an important part in the ceremony as he walked down the aisle with Dan. Rob from Grant Hemond was the DJ for the reception and had the guests dancing and having such a great time that the couple even extended the party!  Of course the ice luge may of helped a bit as well.  Dan rocked the karoke with a song to Tanya.  Another fun reception moment was the family tradition of attaching a real ball and chain to the groom. It looked like Dan was dragging a bowling ball on his ankle and the ball was locked with pad lock that only Tanya could remove with her key. Luckily Tanya did unlock him.  The yummy cake was made by Chef Nelson and the flowers were arranged by DD’s Blooms. Dad said he had a blast and was happy to be a part of such a terrific day. Congratulations newlyweds!!

Kristen and Chris’s Ybor Engagement Session

Friday dad met up with Kristen and Chris for their engagement session in Ybor City.  They were lots of fun and kept up their good spirits even when it started raining.  Dad had them running from location to location to get pictures under some covered areas until the rain finally stopped.  Kristen and Chris kept laughing through it all!  Mom loved how silly they were in the coffee shop window and in front of the graffiti wall.  Their wedding is in March and is sure to be a blast!

Silvett and Horton’s Ybor City Engagement Session

After flying into Florida from New York City late the night before, Silvett and Horton met dad in Ybor City early Friday morning for their engagement session.  They had tried to do the session when dad was in NYC a couple months ago, but delayed flights and weather kept that from happening.  It was looking like rain might be a factor again but there was only a little drizzle at the end.  Silvett and Horton are really kind and friendly people and dad was happy he was able to photograph their session.  We are looking forward to the wedding in October!
