Newborn Twins

We have a very busy couple weeks ahead!  Between now and the end of May, dad has 7 weddings and 2 sessions, which means mom has a ton of editing to do.  And we have meetings, mom’s doctor appointments, swim lessons, and two birthday parties!!  It is going to be crazy, but hopefully a lot of fun too.

Dad started off his busy week with a session yesterday for newborn twin girls.  He went to the family’s house for a lifestyle session.  The girls were so precious and small and it made dad even more excited for our baby girl due next month!

Kate and Tony at the Grand Plaza

On Sunday dad was back at the wonderful Grand Plaza for Kate and Tony’s wedding.  They were a laid back and fun couple and dad enjoyed the day.  Tony was so much fun and dad says you have to love a groom who rocks it to Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters during the reception! Everyone was really personable and made the party a blast.  Thanks to Kate, Tony, and all their family and friends for an awesome day, and we hope Kate and Tony’s life together is filled with the same happiness and celebration that they had on their wedding day!

Apparently you aren’t supposed to move the lounge furniture, but it looked good for the few pictures dad took before it had to be put back!

Alicia-Marie and Jason at the Grand Plaza

Dad photographed Alicia and Jason’s engagement session in front of Raymond James Stadium back in November.  Their wedding was on Saturday at the Grand Plaza on St. Pete Beach.  It is a wonderful location and dad was excited he got to spend most of the weekend there for three different weddings!

Alicia was a terrific bride.  She laughed, she cried, she danced, she made silly faces.  Jason was great too and it was obvious how much he loved to see Alicia happy.  Both of them teared up during their vows on the beach.  Reverend Tom Greene (727-403-6308) was the officiant for the ceremony.  The couple had their ceremony at 10:30 am and the morning light was gorgeous.  With a morning wedding this time of year, the sky was a beautiful blue and the water looked amazing.  It made for beautiful pictures!

Rob Sword from Sword Sounds was the DJ and dad always enjoys working with him.  He does a great job.  The wedding color was pink with green accents and the couple brought the colors together in their centerpieces with vases filled with lime slices and green flowers under a bunch of bright pink Gerber daisies.  Mom loves fruit details at weddings!  Her and dad had a citrus theme for the day after brunch they had during their own wedding weekend.

The flower girl at the wedding had the same name that mom and dad have as their top choice for our little sister!  Dad said after hearing people say it all day he is even more sure about it, so I think we have finally settled on a name!

The bride’s parents gave dad a Thank You note that was so sweet!  It said:

“Jason, Thank you so much for all your wonderful help and beautiful pictures to memorialize Alicia and Jason’s engagement and wedding.  Alicia changed her mind on quite a few ideas about the wedding, but the one constant from the very beginning was who she wanted as her photographer!”

What a wonderful compliment!  Thanks so much to Alicia’s parents for that!  And of course thank you to Alicia and Jason for having dad there and letting him share your day.  Enjoy your honeymoon!

Beth and William at Landry’s Seafood House

Beth and Will were married on Friday at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in Brandon.  They had their reception at Landry’s Seafood House in Tampa.  Beth is friends with Nicole whose wedding dad will be photographing in April!

Will is in the Army and we want to thank him for his service.  We are grateful to Will and all others who serve this country and send blessings to everyone in our Armed Forces.  To honor his service, the bride wore an army garter and the groom’s cake at the reception had an army man figurine with a Green Beret dog tag.

Beth wore a gown with a gorgeous see through embroidered back and carried a cascading bouquet.  She looked amazing!  Dad absolutely loves when a couple gives him lots of time for bride and groom pictures and Beth and Will did.  They were able to get pictures in a variety of locations and dad had so much fun!  It was a terrific wedding for an awesome couple.  Congratulations Beth and Will!

Stephanie and Michael at the Grand Plaza

The Grand Plaza is a terrific location for weddings.  Stephanie and Michael were married there on Thursday.  Dad met Stephanie that morning at London Hair and Spa where she had her hair and makeup done before heading to the Don CeSar to get dressed.  Stephanie and her bridesmaids looked beautiful!  The bridesmaids wore blue dresses and carried bouquets of white and ivory made by Marsha of Marsha Marie Floral.

The ceremony on the beach had chairs with white chair covers and blue chair ribbons.  Floral arrangements on white pillars were on either side of a white lattice also decorated with flowers.  Amanda Gerttula of the Pink Fiddle played the violin for the ceremony music and Reverend Tom Greene (727-403-6308) was the officiant.  Stephanie and Michael smiled all through their ceremony.  It is wonderful to see two people soaking in the joy of their day.

The bride and groom live in Canada and many of their guests came from Canada as well.  Dad had fun meeting them and getting some tips on traveling to Canada for a family vacation we might be taking. In addition to the traditional toasts, guests came up to a podium during dinner and shared limericks about the couple.  The cake was made by Le Cheesecake and was white and covered in little flowers.

Congratulations Stephanie and Michael, and have a great time at Disney World!  Don’t forget to buy Minnie and Mickey bride and groom ears to wear!
