Maya and Jeremy at the Lange Farm

After a relaxing Saturday off, dad photographed Maya and Jeremy’s wedding on Sunday at The Lange Farm.  Not only is that one of dad’s favorite locations, but he got to work with some of his favorite vendors as well!  Maya had Darla Stafford with her that morning for hair and makeup and Rob Sword of Sword Sounds officiated the ceremony and was the DJ for the reception.

Maya and Jeremy are such a sweet couple.  They are down-to-earth people and had a relaxed day enjoying the company of close friends and family who joined them to celebrate the start of their lives together.  When Maya and Jeremy look at each other, they just look happy.  Dad said it made for a day of easy laughs and lots of smiles.

The wedding colors were bright blue and white.  The reception was decorated with glass vase centerpieces filled with blue water holding an arrangement of white flowers.  Linens were either blue with a sprinkling of white flower petals or white with blue napkins and blue petals.  Tables were marked with frames that had the table number on one side and a picture from the couple’s engagement session that dad photographed last month on the other side.  It all came together wonderfully.

Thanks so much to Maya and Jeremy for having dad there to share in your wedding day and for being so kind and easy-going.  Congratulations on your marriage!

Tampa Engagement Session with Sabrina and Rustie

After a great morning with Samantha and Jason, dad went to Tampa to meet Sabrina and Rustie for their engagement session.  They walked around Ybor City finding fun backgrounds.  Dad said Samantha and Jason were a lot of fun and full of laughs.  It is great when a couple enjoys the session and can be themselves.  Rustie had one of the best “jump and rolls” dad has seen!  Their wedding will also be in Tampa this October.  See you two then!

Samantha and Jason’s Engagement Session

Samantha and Jason’s wedding is coming up next month!  They met with dad on Sunday for their engagement session in Bradenton.  Dad enjoyed hearing about their relationship (they went to a dock where Samantha and Jason had spent a lot of time together) and how they got engaged.  They were so sweet with each other and are going to be a wonderful bride and groom.  Their wedding is going to be on a fruit farm!  Dad cannot wait!  See you next month Samantha and Jason.

First Wedding of 2009

What a great way to start off our 2009 weddings!  Ashley and Nathan were married last Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa with their reception at the Rusty Pelican.  The couple had a wonderful team of vendors, including Beth and Shawna of Flawless Occasions as the wedding planners (congratulations to them on the new website they just launched!), Darla Stafford for hair and makeup, Botanica International Design Studio for flowers, and DJ Doug Decker from Grant Hemond.  Everyone did a terrific job.

Ashley and Nathan put together such beautiful details for their wedding.  Mom absolutely loved the bridesmaids’ dresses!  The styles were very flattering and the color was gorgeous.  All of the flowers looked great, especially the bridesmaids’ bouquets with orchids and the tall centerpieces at the reception with branches curling out from the top.  The couple included branches on their stationary and their cake as well.  Table markers were pictures of Ashley and Nathan held up on small tree trunks that looked like one of mom’s favorite candles.  We’re not sure what you call the style of linens with raised criss-crossed fabric but those were so pretty along with the other gold linens used as accents and the gold chair bows.  Dad thought the vintage style Rolls Royce waiting for the couple at the end of the night was the best.  Of course on of the most noticeable details were of the Florida Gators.  The bride wore a Gators garter and the groom had a groom’s cake of an Xbox with a gator biting the controller.  Ashley and Nathan entered their reception doing the Gator chomp:).  Whenever mom sees Gator wedding details, she always thinks of both Carly’s and Meghan’s weddings.  Now she’ll remember Ashley’s as well!  Good luck tomorow Gators fans!

Guests at the wedding had a blast and packed the dance floor showing off their moves.  Ashley and Nathan did not stop smiling all day and radiated joy.  We hope their happiness grows as their years together go on.  Congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon!

Mom likes the contrast between the religious stained glass above the couple and the grittier look of the downtown buildings behind them.

Ashley and Nathan gave dad lots of time for pictures after the ceremony so after the family groups inside the church they were able to get some great images of them and their wedding party on the streets outside.  Dad had fun!
