Happy New Year!

“Youth is when you’re allowed to stay up late on New Year’s Eve.  Middle age is when you’re forced to.”  –Bill Vaughn

Have a safe and fun end to the year. We hope the next year and the next decade is filled with hopes and opportunities and blessings and love for all of you.  2009 has been so wonderful for our family.  We cannot wait to see what God has in store for us in 2010!

Happy New Year!

Kerri and Andy’s Wedding on Honeymoon Island and at Bon Appetit Restaurant

After such a silly fun engagement session with Kerri and Andy, dad has been anxiously awaiting their wedding and seeing what they would be like as a bride and groom.  They definitely did not disappoint.  Kerri and Andy made their wedding day a blast!  They were sure to be themselves on their big day and that makes the day special.  They are such an awesome couple.  Dad loves that they aren’t afraid to be goofy at times.  They made taking pictures so much fun!

They were married on Honeymoon Island with the reception following at Bon Appetit.  Cari from KyleLynn Weddings did Kerri’s hair and makeup, The English Rose was the florist, Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was the DJ, and Chef Nelson made their cake.  The wedding was the weekend before Christmas so of course red was the main wedding color.  Kerri’s red shoes were awesome and Andy wore a red shirt to match.  At the reception, the couple had their engagement session images printed with questions about themselves on the back.  Guests had fun looking at the pictures and trying to answer the questions.  Some were wedding related, such as where are the going on their honeymoon (Costa Rica), some were fun, such as what is their favorite flavor of ice cream (mint chocolate chip), and some were just silly and impossible to guess, such as how many pictures does Kerri have of Andy eating (13).  Guests were able to have more fun in the photo booth dad set up!  He used a red background to go with Kerri and Andy’s wedding color.  There was a dry erase board for guests to write messages in the pictures and some were hilarious to read!

It was a wonderful day for a wonderful couple.  We are so happy for you Kerri and Andy!  We hope you never lose your joy for life and love.  Congratulations and you two better keep in touch!

The Ketubah:

Kerri and Andy had a first sight so they had lots of time for bride and groom pictures before the ceremony.  Dad always loves when couples do this because it gives him more time to get a variety of creative pictures and keeps the couple from feeling rushed to fit the bride and groom, wedding party, and all family photos into the cocktail hour.

Pictures from the photo booth.  Be sure to call or email dad if you are interested in this add-on for your own wedding!

Elizabeth and Marshall’s Wedding at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club

Jimmy Choos, Vera Wang, a beautiful country club, and a gorgeous couple come together to make an amazing wedding!  Liz and Marshall came down from New York, New York to be married the week before Christmas at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.  It is such a picturesque location and the Christmas decorations they had made it even prettier.  Dad had photographed the wedding of Emily and Steve years ago and it was wonderful seeing them as guests at this wedding as well.  It seems as if it wasn’t very long ago that dad was photographing their newborn son peeing on them and now he is almost two:). Dad also got to see Shane who was married here back in October.  Tell Nicole “hi” for us!

The band at the reception was one of the best dad has heard at a wedding.  They are called Powerhouse, led by Alan James.  If you are thinking about live music at your wedding, check them out!

Liz and Marshall both looked stunning.  They did a great job with the details and put together an awesome wedding.  It was wonderful to see how much love they have for one another.  Their entire day seemed to be filled with the excitement of what is ahead for them.  Thanks for having dad share in your day, and congratulations newlyweds!  You are going to have such a fun honeymoon!  First Colorado for some snow, then Mexico for some sun!

Awww, Emily and Steve, still very much in love:

The cake was from Publix:

One of dad’s favorites from the day was by the fire pit at night:

Laura and Bryant’s Wedding at Davis Islands Garden Club

The day before our Christmas party was Laura and Bryant’s big day.  They were married at the Davis Islands Garden Club in Tampa.  Laura’s gown was perfect for her.  She looked gorgeous in it, and it seemed to fit her personality so well.  Laura’s sister surprised the couple by having a photo booth by Shutterbooth at the reception.  The wedding party had fun with the props and it was a hit for the guests.  Laura and Bryant made sure to enjoy every bit of their day and never stopped laughing.  After a few night pictures, the bride and groom departed the reception by boat.  Dad had a blast and was happy to be part of Laura and Bryant’s day.  Congratulations you two!

Liza and Donald’s Wedding at the A La Carte Pavilion

Liza and Donny are an awesome couple and we are happy to finally be able to share images from their wedding!  Mom has been able to talk with Liza over emails and thinks she is wonderful.  The newlyweds are on a long honeymoon enjoying Australia and New Zealand, if they survived the jump on the Nevis Arch, the biggest bungee swing in the world!  The last we heard from them was when they were on their way there…

Their wedding ceremony was at the Pass-A-Grille Beach Community Church and the reception followed at the A La Carte Event Pavilion.  Scott from Starstruck Video was the videographer, DJ Robb of Robb Smith Productions was, you guessed it, the DJ, and Chef Michael of Let Them Eat Cake made the cake.

Liza was so much fun!  If she wasn’t posing silly with her bridesmaids she was breaking it down on the dance floor.  Liza and Donny are so sweet together and look at each other with the future in their eyes.  Their beautiful ceremony included many Filipino wedding traditions such as the veil, cord, and coin exchange.  At the end of the ceremony there was a dove release as well.

Liza and Donny are going to have a wonderful life together.  Thanks for having dad there at the start of it!
