Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

What a wonderful holiday!  It is all about spending the day with friends and family in celebration of all we have to be grateful for.  We have so many blessings to be thankful for today.

Thank you to all of our wonderful clients who let us surround ourselves with love and families and call it work.  We love what we do and it is because of the great people we get to meet and work with.

Thanks to our families and friends who are supportive and caring and are there to share good times and bad.

Thank you for the memories of those who have passed, especially Nonna who is with us today.

Thanks to mom and dad (and mom and dad thanks us boys!) for having a home full of love and fun.

And especially thank you to God who showers us with blessings and gives us more to be grateful for every day.  He has given us each other and as we grow our family we do so in His name.  And this Thanksgiving we have one more family member to thank God for…our special announcement is:

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY!

We will both be big brothers!  Mom is almost 3 months pregnant with our new sibling.  Her and dad have already seen (and heard) the miracle of the new baby’s heart beat.  We’ve been waiting to tell about the baby and we are so excited to share this news!  We couldn’t be more excited :)   Now that everyone knows, we’ll be able to give lots of blog updates and share pictures and all of our baby news.  It has been hard not to share our ultrasound pictures and such so far!

Happy Thanksgiving, and we hope all of you have a wonderful day with those you love celebrating everything you have to be happy about.

Samantha and Tom’s Irish Wedding

Samantha and Tom were married last Saturday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park with their reception following at Shades of Green on the Walt Disney World Resort.  The couple planned an Irish wedding, complete with a bagpiper for the ceremony, green plaid handkerchiefs for the groomsmen, lots of green flowers done by Debra at DSR Designs and Atmospheres, and festive green party hats for the guests at the reception. Catherine Leach of Event Fabulous in Orlando was the couple’s wedding coordinator and helped to put all the details together to create the Irish theme.

Dad met Samantha the morning of her wedding as she was having her hair and makeup done by Natalie at Knockout Artistry.  Samantha looked beautiful!  Mom loved her hair mostly down in soft curls, and her makeup looked so pretty.  The reception was a fun celebration with help from Paul Vesco Bands and Orchestra and the cigar roller, Sagar Saha of Vega del Cigar.

Dad had seen the couple for their engagement session just a month before and they were so sweet together then so he knew their wedding would be wonderful.  They were lost in each other the whole day.  Congratulations Samantha and Tom!  Have lots of fun in Ireland!

Samantha looking so pretty!

Bridesmaids having fun.

My Three Sons

For those who didn’t watch Nick at Nite back when the shows really were classic television, My Three Sons was a show in the 60’s and was one of the longest running family sitcoms.  James and Lara’s family really doesn’t have anything in common with the plot of the show, but they are the proud parents to three boys so the theme song to the show kept coming into mom’s head as she was looking through their pictures.  Their boys are all under five, with the youngest just turning one.  We would have so much fun playing with them!

Dad met up with their family last Friday afternoon at Fort DeSoto for a family session and a super fun smash the cake session to celebrate the youngest’s first birthday!  Dad was also happy to see Stephanie, the family’s nanny.  Dad will be photographing Stephanie and Louis’s wedding in May!

Dad had fun running around with the boys inside the fort and screaming to hear the echos they made.  The boys were all so cute and it was a fun afternoon of exploring “secret passages” and obliterating a birthday cake.

Happy First Birthday!

Engagement Session with Heather and David

Last Friday morning dad met Heather and David, a wonderful couple who will be getting married in March.  Dad was bummed that he wasn’t available for their wedding but had a great time photographing their engagement session!  He told mom that their personalities fit so well with his.  They got dad’s sarcasm and gave it right back.

Heather and David, we know you are going to have such a fun wedding.  Be sure to stay in touch and share some pictures!  And thanks to Jackie from Table 6 Productions for recommending us!

Family Christmas Pictures

When dad first photographed Teresa and Craig and their two daughters (and many puppies!) their youngest was just two years old.  It is always lots of fun to have years go by and see how much they grow in that time.  This was dad’s third year with the family.  The girls might be bigger with new hair cuts and new milestones, but their sweet smiles are always the same :) .

Dad met up with the family last Thursday for their annual Christmas pictures.  The girls were a blast to hang out with as usual and it was a fun afternoon.  Here are a few of the pictures:

Sister bonding:

This one was mom’s favorite.  The red and green of the house behind them makes the picture look even more like a Christmas card.

Making the picture a bit more wintery, just for fun:

Crystal and Tyler’s Brunch Wedding

Some of the best weddings are those where a couple breaks tradition to make the wedding reflect their own personal style.  Dad had been looking forward to Crystal and Tyler’s wedding since he photographed their engagement session in April.  Their plans sounded so fun and dad was excited to see things come together.

The wedding took place last Sunday at Town Manor on the Lake Bed and Breakfast.  Crystal had the amazing Darla Stafford do her hair and makeup.  Crystal and Tyler had some of the most fun wedding day outfits that dad had seen.  Crystal wore a gorgeous red gown with a full, long train.  She accessorized with a black choker necklace and a black birdcage veil with a black feather.  Tyler matched Crystal’s dress with his red vest, tie, and belt, and also wore an extra long tux jacket that came down past his knees.

The ceremony began at 10:30 am which made for one of dad’s favorite types of receptions…a brunch reception!  Brunch food is so yummy!  The couple’s centerpieces were bowls of glittery ornaments which were so decorative.  The cake was awesome too!  It was a three tiered “Mad Hatter” type cake in red and black.  The red and black details throughout the reception came together wonderfully and the entire wedding was infused with the couple’s style.

Because the reception ended early in the afternoon, there was plenty of time after for bride and groom pictures.  Dad had a great time not only with Crystal and Tyler, but also with their family and friends who were all very welcoming and fun.  It was a terrific wedding.  Congratulations newlyweds!

Wedding in Bonita Springs

Dad photographed a beautiful wedding in Bonita Springs last week.  The ceremony was held on Big Hickory Island and the reception was at the Colony Golf and Country Club.  This was dad’s third week working with Dream Day Productions and he has had lots of fun with them.  Meghan from Dream Day was also the florist for this wedding and did a great job.  Felix the DJ was there for the reception.  Dad says Felix always does an amazing job of mixing and blending music like a “real” dj would do.  Felix also did the GOBO light for the couple on the dance floor.  The reception also had a cigar roller from Rocky Patel.  He was rolling “The Edge” cigars and guests loved it.

The bride and groom asked us not to share images of them due to their job, but we are happy to share some of the beautiful details from their wedding day.  Congratulations newlyweds!  Enjoy your honeymoon!

The Dude…and Dudette

You will only get the title…and the picture…if you are a Big Lebowski fan.

Dad had been looking forward to Lori and Eric’s wedding for a while.  When dad talked to Lori she told dad that she wanted “interesting” photos that were a mix of funky and sweet.  Dad already thought that was cool, but when she then said that the bridal party would all be going to the bowling alley after the wedding he knew this would be a fantastic wedding.

Lori and Eric were married last Friday in Fort Myers.  Their ceremony was on the beach at Bowditch Point and the reception followed at Cin Cin Mediterranean Bar and Grille.  Kelly of No Worries Weddings and Event Management was the officiant and wedding coordinator and dad enjoyed meeting her.

The wedding day was the first time dad met Lori and Eric as well and he thought they were awesome.  Dad said Eric was so genuine and kind, and Lori was as fun as her ideas!  They made a wonderful couple and dad was happy he got to spend their wedding day with them.  Thanks to Lori and Eric for having dad there!  You two are amazing!

Mr. Humpherdes

Okay, so really this was a newborn session for a sweet little 2 week old, but the family tortoise was awesome too and had such a cool name that we had to use it for the blog title.

Last Thursday dad went over to Jaclyn and Michael’s house to meet their new daughter.  They make such a wonderful family and their little girl was so good!  Dad was amazed that she hardly even fussed and didn’t seem phased at all by all the pictures.  When mom saw the pictures she was amazed that Jaclyn had a baby only 2 weeks before; she looked amazing!

Congratulations on your new blessing, and thanks for having dad there to capture this special time.  Here are a few pictures from the session:

Family at Gamble Plantation

We are so blessed to have people we get to see often as time goes on and families grow.  Dad met up with Allison’s family at Gamble Plantation for a session last week.  Allison’s nephew and daughter were so cute together!  Mom brought us along to play while dad photographed the session so we got to see everyone too.  Mom loved the tights Allison put on her daughter.  Girls are so fun to dress!

Allison has become such a great friend and we love when we are able to see her.  Thanks for including us in your wonderful family :)
