Barby and Justin’s engagement session was awesome! They spray painted an original art piece, looked at wedding themed comics, and read some classic literature. Jason was looking forward to seeing how they made their wedding day their own and he was not disappointed! From comic character shoes and undershirts, to bouquets made from book pages, Barby and Justin’s wedding was gorgeous and so much fun! Their art and design company, BraveArt.org, did such a great job.
The bride and groom were married at the Tampa Theatre which was beautiful and unique, and fit Barby and Justin’s day perfectly! Their ceremony was on the stage and the programs were on popcorn boxes so guests could enjoy fresh popcorn as they watched the ceremony from the theatre seats. A slideshow welcomed everyone to the wedding and included pictures from the engagement session. Then the processional began to the Dave Matthews Band song, “Lover Lay Down” and then Barby walked down the aisle with her dad to the song “Perfect” by Doria Roberts. It was sung by the groom’s sister, Emily Drew, who is a musician. The officiant, Kelly, was a family friend. At the end of the ceremony, the newlyweds began their first dance on the stage to the Red Hot Chili Peppers song, “Hard to Concentrate.” The lyrics are so fitting for a wedding: “All I want is for you to be happy; And take this moment to make you my family; And finally you have found something perfect … Do you want me to show up for duty; And serve this woman and honor her beauty?; And finally you have found something perfect; And finally you have found yourself with me. Will you agree to take this man into your world; And now we are as one.“
After the ceremony and the first dance, Jason photographed the families and then took some fun pictures of Barby, Justin, and their wedding party in the theatre. He had a terrific time with everyone and loved being part of such a special day. Thanks for including us in your wedding Barby and Justin!
