  • Jason Angelini Photography: The Blog

Thanks for checking out our updated blog! You'll notice that we have quite a few changes. The biggest is that for the first time since we started blogging the posts are not written in the voice of our young kids. It became more confusing as our family grew so we have simplified the descriptions of the weddings.

Another change is how easy it is to share the blog posts now through our "Share and Enjoy" feature! You can like a post or share a post on Facebook, Twitter, or many other sites. Also, the comment section for each post is now more noticeable and easier to use.

We have also included some general pricing info and a contact page so you can send us a message right from the blog. Of course our wedding and people websites are still there for more detailed information and to see more of our images.

For more fun links and for a personal look into our lives be sure to like our Jason Angelini Photography Facebook page! There we share ideas for your wedding planning, updates about what we're up to, and more about our family.

Thanks again for visiting our blog and we hope you like the changes!

Family Session at Fort Desoto

Stephanie and Louis are just awesome people.  Jason photographed their engagement session and their wedding but soon after they moved on to new adventures out of state.  When they came down for a visit recently they wanted some updated pictures of the two of them and some pictures with Stephanie’s family too.  Jason was excited to see them again!  He met them at Fort Desoto and they had a fun morning together.  Thanks so much to Stephanie’s family, Stephanie, and Louis for the session!  We can’t wait for your next visit to Florida!

Nikki and Nathan’s Newborn

Nikki and Nathan’s newborn (I love alliteration!) was just a few days old when Jason went to his house for a session.  The poor little guy wasn’t feeling his best that day but he got lots of love and cuddles from his mom and dad.  Jason said they were a terrific family and so in love with their little boy.  Thanks for having Jason there to photograph your new baby!  The newborn stage goes by way too quickly.

This picture makes me laugh!  A dog’s gotta do what a dog does – and come on, the smells coming from there have to be so new and interesting to him!

Wedding at the Grand Plaza: Jodi and Greg

In Florida you can have a beach wedding in December and the weather is still beautiful!  Jodi and Greg were married at the beautiful Grand Plaza.  Their ceremony was on the beach with Reverend Tom Greene as the officiant.  Heather of Rose Garden Florist was the florist and the beach theme continued with the wedding cake made by Cakes by Carolynn.

Every time Jodi and Greg looked at each other you could see how in love they are.  They had the happiest smiles all day and they enjoyed every moment of their wedding.  Jason loved being there to share in the celebration.  Congratulations Jodi and Greg!  We hope the happiness from your wedding day grows throughout your marriage!

Wedding at Sunken Gardens: Sylvia and John

When Sylvia and John stopped by a record store during their awesome engagement session it was just a little taste of what their wedding day would be.  They were married at Sunken Gardens and their day had a really fun music theme!  Desiree from Magical Plan-It Events was the planner and helped put all the details together.  Jason loves working with David and Kristina of Trinity Wedding Video who were there as the videographers.  They shared a Sneak Peek Film that helped to capture the wonderful day.  Sylvia had her makeup done by Beautiful You MakeupCarter’s Florist did the flowers for the day and the bridesmaids’ bouquets were pretty with black feathers under the flowers.  At the reception the caterer was Amici’s Catering, Chantilly Cakes made the wedding cake which had music notes as part of the decoration, and the DJ was Richard Blade who came from California.

Sylvia and John are such sweet people and their wedding was a blast!  The ceremony was just after sunset and the reception was a terrific celebration.  Jason came home from the wedding with so many great songs stuck in his head!  He said there was awesome music all night which you of course have to have when your wedding has a music theme.  The tables were framed album covers from a wide variety of bands.  Favors had a mini record attached that said “Take Me Home Tonight” (I love 80s music!)  Guests signed in on CD info pages that were put into a CD case.  On the tables were papers for guests to write music requests for the DJ.  Kids had fun with legos and coloring books and lots of dancing.  Jason was happy to see Jamie and Tristan who were guests at the wedding.  It was such a fun night for the bride, groom, and all of their guests!

Sylvia and John’s love for each other and their kind hearts are obvious to everyone who sees them.  We are so happy for them!  Congratulations newlyweds!

Wedding at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and the Grand Floridian: Lacy and T.J.

Disney weddings are always a great combination of fun and elegance.  Lacy and T.J. celebrated their Disney wedding with a ceremony at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and a reception at Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian.  Lacy got ready with Patricia of LeJeune Hair and Makeup Artistry.  She looked beautiful in her Vera Wang gown!  Ron Rosenzweig was the officiant at the ceremony.  The wedding colors were green and purple and Heather Sparby was the florist.  She included lots of green orchids with purple in their centers.  The wedding cake was decorated with purple detailing and looked amazing!

The newlyweds are honeymooning in Hawaii.  I’m sure the weather there was a wonderful break from the cold up north where they live!  Congratulations Lacy and T.J. and thanks for having Jason there to capture your wedding day.
